if travis (chinesesah) is reading this, I actually am good at 64..it just took about 2hrs for it to come back
and btw, your natural talent was beast..and your jab usage is better than mine both in melee and in 64..i think that was the weirdest part...getting jab to upsmash comboed by someone who couldn't even perform basic 64 combos
oh kiwii..your sheik is beautiful....however, learn to techchase better...i think you are just reacting and following. But in my opinion, is it better for sheik to call a spot and plan to guard it. If you get good at telling the difference between techrolls and tech in place, then you can guard two spots.
Not much i can tell you since your sheik is a lot better than mine (although i had to sheik ditto once against a guy with an excellent falcon and won that^^^^)
I really should learn to think when playing...i think the hardest thing in melee is remembering to think and predict/call in advance..i don't think i did it any at that tournament. I remember in teh past i was capable of doing that a little...i think what happens is you find that your tech skill/spacing hits a point where you can beat people without thinking..and then you stop doing it and forget to do so when it becomes necessary..
other shoutouts
blues - IC are broken..and i really need more practice against them.
other people, sorry but i can't remember your names...i enjoyed playing that falcon as marth...still need more practice at that...and i enjoyed getting obliterated by travis and boss..really enjoyed the 64 at the end
3 best matches in terms of enjoyment probably went
Jiggs vs travis's fox (I should have won that... how infortuitous to miss the final upthrow to rest that would have won)..to any jiggs plyers out there...remmeber that waveland to grab is God tier..helps so much getting grabs...jiggs walk speed is too freaking slow.
fox vs travis's marth (i've never felt so much fear as I did in that much..especially while getting grabbed..i know the DI's to get out early, but even so..i kept being stupid and missing the tech on the upthrow when he screwed up...which helped a lot...you can DI to get out of uptilts if they don't do reverse ones...but the pivot grabs he really shouldn't have missed...but even thogh he missed them i kept missing the tech and he would regrab anyways).....if he'd been spot on witha ll his grabs i would have lost...though i felt like i played well for having never faced a marth of that level.
my marth vs boss's doc.. I have never felt pressured that badly on YS before. It was so hard to get from the top platforms back down....thank goodness that my spacing got me 2 tipper kills early..one from a called tech and one from wd fsmash. only match i won against boss that i can call legit...he was destroying me for the most part on the phone later too..which was kinda embarasssing:\
