Look at the bottom picture, Bowser doesn't have his shell, and his stomach looks the same.

To show you what I mean, say that Bowser, WITH HIS SHELL, weighs 2600 lbs.
His shell weighs 300.
He takes off his shell, and is now 2300 pounds.
Here is this, in human terms:
You weigh 200 pounds, and have a 50 pound backpack on, so your weight is 250. You run with the backpack, and say you run a mile in 7:00:00. After fully resting, you take off the backpack. YOu now way 200 pounds. FIFTY POUNDS lighter than before.
Is it still going to take you 7 minutes to run a mile?

BOWSERS SHELL DOESN'T EFFECT THE MU IF HE HAS IT ON.
If it's on, and he's struck in the back, the shell transmit the force and breaks his back.
If it's off, and he''s struck in the back, the force is still transmitted and it breaks his back.
So, IN THIS MU, when Bowser takes off his shell, he doesn't lose anything.
