WELCOME TO THE: 'OMG ZZ IS RUNNING A TOURNAMENT WTF I THOUGHT HIS WII WASNT WORKING' MKW WIFI TOURNAMENT
IM RUNNING A TOURNAMENT CUZ IM STEALING MY BROTHERS FOR THE WEEKEND, SO SIGN UP!
It will be Sunday, 9/30/12 at 2pmEDT PST.
RULES:
- There will be 4 GPs
- All vehicles allowed
- All courses allowed
- No repeat courses (unless picked by random), breaking this rules will result in a 5 point deduction. This stand for the whole tournament. If DK's Jungle Parkway is picked in GP 1, it still cant be picked even in GP 4 unless picked by random. (I will be listing out all the courses that have been played on in a post here in this thread, and on skype, so check there to make sure you arent double picking)
- If a DC occurs, you will receive points equal to what you obtained in the earlier races, plus extra points dependent on the number of races missed (+3 for one race, +5 for two races, +7 for 3 races, +10 for 4 races).
Now, while so far this thing seems pretty standard, there will be ONE THING that will be different for this tournament, and that will be Character Selection. Instead of just choosing whatever characters you like, I will be pairing up all 24 characters (no miis) into teams of 2, meaning there will be 12 teams of characters. Once everyone has signed up, I will reveal the teams, and everyone will choose a team they'd like to use. No two people can use the same team, and once the team selection begins, I will randomize the order of the sign up list, and that will be the order people pick the teams in. You must use each character for 2 GPs (if you are DC'd during a GP with a character, it counts as using that character that GP, even if you didnt even finish one race), otherwise you will lose either 10 points, or half you points for that GP, depending on whichever is less (so if you get 20 points or more, you lose 10 points, and if you get 19 points of less, you lose half your points rounded down).
I will also have a different FC, so MAKE SURE YOU ADD IT.
If your FC isnt in the OP, be sure to post it as well when you sign up, if it IS in the OP, you dont need to unless you'll be using a different FC than what is listed.

I like the idea, but isn't that a little early to be running a tournament? I know some won't be awake especially cuz it's a Sunday, people wanna sleep in. You also have to remember this'll be even earlier for people in other states.

Actually its later for the other states. For me its 2 pm. It would be anywhere between Noon - 3 for people in the US, unless youre in like hawaii or alaska where it would be more like 4 or 5.
And if Texas is Mountain Time its 2, if not its 1, honestly not sure whether its MST or not lol.
