Alright, time for another tourney. This is going to be more organized and a little more strict, because last time, when that girl/guy was constantly doing the Maka Wuhu glitch and then spamming the course, that was both un-acceptable and annoying. This is just a normal FFA tourney (free to pick any character/kart combination), 4 GPs, so I'll name it...
FFA Tourney 2!!! (creative I know)

RULES:

• 
  1. Character Choice/Kart Combination is FREE (so feel free to choose who and what you want, and change each GP if you feel the need).

• 2. Course selection is also FREE (choose any course, but remember, no duplicates!).

• 
  3. No duplicate courses (if it's a duplicate by Random, that's OK).

• 
  4. No Glitching (that means if Maka Wuhu, etc. gets picked, don't do the glitch >_< If you do, you will receive a penalty).

• 
  5. Be patient, don't press "Start Game" (I will press it when we are ready).

• 
  6. Anyone's allowed to sign up! If you want to join in, PM me AND post here!

Tourney will take place on January 8th, 2011, Sunday; 6:00 PM EST. Make sure you post here and PM me. I made a new community for tourneys, so I will have to PM you the code if you join. We need someone to keep track of scores (I will try my best, but if someone takes pics, it'll be easier to manage scores) Feel free to ask questions and such where you need to.

Yeah, I'm not going to lie, the last like 2 months, this thread has been slowly dying, until it only got like 1 post every few days. Now that 7 is out, people have come back, though, lol.

I'm still a MKWii fanboy. Dry Bones + Magikruiser ftw.

But now that y'all only play MK7, I have no chance of getting my spot on the rankings back. :<

Which is why I don't do tournies now. Once my skills are up to par though, I'll join. I play to win. No way am I going to join a tourney just to have a streak of losing.

Besides, I could always switch to Toad or Mii whenever I want, but Shy Guy is still going to be my go to. Besides, I was using Shy Guy before he really started getting overused. Rarely would there ever be another Shy Guy in a game, but now he is just everywhere.

I've always used Shy Guy in every game he was in. I would purposefully not use my Mario Kart DS game when I was playing with friends so I could be shy guy xD.

Still, it was dead even before 7. No one played outside of Race night, and even on race night, we only got like 6 people. We stopped doing tournaments because turnout was so low.

It seems that there were some mistakes with the Gold Standard's stat boosts. Here are the stat boosts that I got from MajorasMask9 (a Mario Wiki member).

Acceleration: -0.25
Weight: +0.25
Handling: 0
Off-Road: -0.25

Sea Speed: 0
Air Speed: -0.25
Sea Handling: 0
Air Handling: 0
Mini-Turbo: -0.25

Doesn't surprise me. The Gold Parts were never really great in the first place. In my opinion, the Gold Parts should have just been like the Standard Parts: No stat boosts or nerfs at all.
It should have been a set of parts just for looks.

At least the off-road boost makes more sense. After all, the lowest possible in-game stat to get is 0.75 (1.75 for Speed), not 0.5. Likewise, the highest possible in-game stat is 5.5.

Well it's only useful for if you're off the track, which makes off-road shortcuts easier to utilize. Of course, a Mushroom boost easily handles that matter too.
