theres no way man, i use the dpad when i play on normal controllers.
idk but i am confused about it.
As far as I know, Sim uses d + k to slide, and db+k to NOT slide.

Also, I will go ahead and just say Smash and Street Fighter open at my place from 4:00 pm onwards on Thursday. I do have Kirkq's TV, but someone will need to bring a Smash set-up. Also, anyone who needs a stick for the PS3, bring one. I only have one.

yeah thats what i thought to... idk like 3 guides say its df+k, idk...but yeah bleck is gonna be playing with me this thursday and friday, ill prolly have my stick hopefully soon, they shipped out my super IV disc today and expect me to get it on the 20th, and they havent shipped the stick yet, so imma be playing pad a lot b4 i move onto stick, but i think it wont matter much, im not good enough for my controller to matter atm i think, ill just be learning the game. also fro ive been looking at SRK forums for matchups (for my upcoming MMs) and as i assumed ken and ryu are basically the fox/falco of this, at first glance basically the same, but as for matchups COMPLETELY different way to play them...which sucks cuz bleck can only help me for the ryu matchup, do u have a specific sim player who is good at the ken matchup i can study, i watch HYC mochi get ***** by Momochi, so that didnt help me any lol, i watch manly FC, mochi, iyo, arturo, and some nobodies that i find fun to watch.

From Dear Midwest Thread

Soon to come! My greatest work. Part 2 of the first post will include actually tips on improvement. It will include all of my thoughts and the ACTUAL PROCESS I took to improve in combination with some SoCal rules of thumb/tips and tricks from some highly experienced players for instant improvement. (Expect a few quotes that stuck with me from Mango, HugS, Connor, Kira, Adam, DEHF, etc.) I've been writing all night, so now it's time to sleep.

[Note to self, quote first post and hide it for reference]
I'll share this with a few of you guys first. The thread is directed to you guys after all ;D. I'll throw it out in PMs by Wednesday or Thursday, so tell me if you want it. If you do take it you have to give feedback and you can't share it (yet). lol Also it's pretty long. I'm on 8 pages and I'm probably going to make it to 12 at least.

So I had a dream a this morning that GeOrGe was at some tournament and was in a 2v1 (I have no idea what happened to his partner) with Dr. Peepee and some other guy that he teamed with. And not only did he beat them both, but he 4 stocked them, rofl. They were playing on a level that looked like a combination of Mute City and RC. And after that match, George was like a big hit all over the internet. It was a pretty random dream, lol.

Also, it's official, my controller is fobbed up. Jason, I tried that little trick, but it just didn't work. *sigh*

BRAAAAAIN-is down for Smash Wednesday afternoon or Thursday afternoon (I caught him at the GREYhooouuse today, but where would we play? :o)
Wait, back the truck up. How in blazes do you know Brain? lol

There should be a set from the last Gods Garden in which Mochi's Dhalsim just craps all over Momochi's Ken. Either way, the match-up is not very different for Sim. Keep them out, and keep poking until they die. Ken's scarier when he gets in because he can do more damage and mix-ups, but he's easier to keep out. Slower fireballs with more recovery and slower walk speed (You read that right) make it harder for Ken to get in. Ken also doesn't get much usage out of his ultras against Sim at all. He barely ever gets close enough for Ultra 1, and Ultra 2 is easily avoidable for Sim. It's basically a more extreme version of the Ryu match-up, at least for Sim.

I still think Filipino Champ plays the Ryu match-up better than all the others right now. His usage of Yoga Tower and his offensive tricks add a dimension to it that other Sims usually don't have.

I DID meet him at the SSBO he went to. Rememberrrrrr? lol
Oh joonz? That was for like 7 seconds. I didn't even think you two would've been able to point one another out in public, especially for Brain's case, since you're, well, you know... *whisper* black....

i want it, the question is does the WORLD want a smart voorhese?

edit to fro: yeah i saw mochi get ***** by momochi, i mentioned it in my post, and from what ive learned by watching the 2 matchups, is that i can punish kens fireballs much easier (due to his recover time like u said) with crouching fierce no less! out of both slide and yoga tower, but the thing that scared me is that all the matches ive seen of X dhalsim player vs ken/ryu they do better vs ryu, and ive only studied the ryu matchup for my moneymatchs, cuz one plays ryu only, and the other 2ndary mains ken but plays mainly ryu...and i didnt want to get caught off guard, and get *****...

You said it backwards in your previous post, but anyways.... People generally do better against Ryu because he's the more commmon match-up by far. Still, if you kow how to fight Ryu, you shouldn't have much trouble with Ken. Really, trying to counter Sim by switching to Ken from Ryu is not much of a counter.

With the turnout that sounds like is coming, are we going to want 2 melee setups? Is there room for that? (it's been a while since I've been to your room.)

I feel like I just got ran over by 50,000 trucks, but at least it's over for the time being. Who can do what and when? I'm not leaving until like 6:30 tonight, so yeah.

Yeah. There a PS3 deal as well, which I'm not interested in. Maybe you can find someone else if thats what you're looking for.
Nah just lettin' you know that the majority of fighters are played on PS3. I already have a stick compatible for PS3/Wii/PC. So I might be interested.

My God....

I guess that explains why it took him 87 hours to respond to my text.

And whose fault is that, mister?

Also, Uncle Greg is actually at the shop right now, and wanted me to tell you that you're a loser
(and yes, he's making the loser symbol with his hand). And of course, I happily obliged.
