♣ Rock Mario looks fun. And I see the world is more like Super Mario Galaxy mixed with New Super Mario Bros Wii, I like to see how that would work. ♥

Yeah, I noticed that too. They even have the checkpoint from NSMBW. Also, the new layout for the stage selection screen is also very similar to NSMBW.

Also, rock mario seems awesome. Can't wait to see the puzzles that are made for it.

Rock mario looks pretty cool. And the Mario ship looks fun too. Will it change for Luigi? Looking good.

hah, I wonder how he turned his own head into a ship.

If this is the new stage selection, I don't like it. It's making the game even more linear than it already was in SMG1. I miss having a large hubworld and being able to obtain stars out of order like in Mario 64 and Sunshine. :(

I still think it has the free stage selection option from the other 3D mario games. The only difference is that it's now more organized so you don't have to go to different parts of the stage to play a stage.

This is especially important in a game like Galaxy. If you look at all the other 3D mario games, they have a lot less stages then galaxy (mainly because each area has around 8 stars/sprites). In galaxy, it was a pain to go to a room across the HUB just to play on a certain galaxy and I'm glad they fixed it.

At least they made short cuts to some of the hubs in Galaxy. ^_^;

Now they have to either explain or we will see how to get secret stars. I like to see how that would work.

What do you mean? There weren't any secret worlds in the hub, all of them were either enabled by progress or by making one of the obese lumas explode.

Also aren't there several Lumas shown on the Marioship in that last trailer?

Yeah there is and I'm fairly sure that the big pink one will have a similar function to the obese purple luma in SMG (bring out comets).

I really need to replay Galaxy. It's not often that you get nostalgia for games that are only 2.5 years old.

When I saw Rock Mario I thought "ZOMG GORON MARIO"
The Goron mask in MM was really fun, so I hope the rock power up i SMG2 will work right :)

YES! Super Mario World Athletic and Ghost House themes!

The way Yoshi was "ingesting" the balloon fruits was kind of disturbing though, hopefully they'll actually require you to EAT it in the final because it looks just wrong right now.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 plot info.

The Star Festival is in full flow as falling stars shower down on the Mushroom Kingdom once again. Princess Peach invites Mario to watch the festival at her castle, but en route he comes across a Luma who takes a shine to him and dives into his hat to hide, giving him the Spin move powers. Before he reaches the castle, Mario is concerned to see that a gigantic Bowser, super-sized from harnessing the power from the stars, is attacking and capturing Peach. As Bowser escapes, Mario launches into outer space in pursuit. Cue an incredible mission in outer space – to save the Princess and bring peace back to the Mushroom Kingdom!

You'll be pretty shocked when you ready it....

Bowsers at it again?

Well I'm OK with this. Just as long as the story doesn't interfere with the gameplay that much.

I personally don't give a crap bout Mario storylines anymore, it's always the same thing over and over...for the most part, so long as it's fun. (The RPG Mario games always have good storylines)

I agree 100% with this one, especially Partners in Time.

That new footage looks really amazing, also im a tad worried as to how the cloud platforms will work. I hope that it won't make levels incredibly easy ;__;
