Jeez... I wish Nintendo would just stick to the old formula without getting so uptight over story all the time. I mean, seriously, Nintendo! It's all for the gameplay, not the story! And it's high time they realize that.

I know what you mean. The story is getting waaay to complicated. I mean
bowser capturing peach
is to complex for my liking :p

Anyway, I agree with Urdailywater that the plot, as long as it doesn't mess with the gameplay too much, I'm fine.

Oh yeah! I don't know if it was mentioned but the Super Mario World music in the newer videos was amazing. I didn't expect it, AT ALL. But once I heard I was happy. Seriously.

I hope Super Mario World 2's Athletic theme is in the game. That's my favorite song out of the entire series probably.

As much as I love Flower Garden, I would like to see this song in Galaxy 2. But hearing Star Maze would be my number one wish for music in this game. I don't know, it would just fit Galaxy to me.

I'm liking that there seems to be more side-scroller type sections... I think with all the gravity manipulating side-scrollers were relatively unexplored in SMG1

The sidescrolling sections are just amazing. It's still the reason why I call Galaxy an even truer Mario game than 64. They are pretty hard to in some respects (like when gravity is constantly shifting from direction to direction.)

I have a feeling with all these Mario World references this game is going to keep a smile on my face at all times.

What's really funny is the fact that the DVD probably won't be able to run on the Wii.

Uhh I'm pretty sure it'll run fine. DVD's can run easily on the Wii (You can mod in a DVD player actually, and there's Netflix too but that's more of streaming really.)

That's still not impossible.

I'm just imagining that the bonus DVD is just another Wii game or something like that. Idk.

It really doesn't matter if it doesn't though. I'm pretty sure the average Wii owners have DVD players.

Unless the bonus DVD has some or all of the songs in the game, I"m pretty sure they should had just made a video and put it in the Nintendo Channel. ^_^;

I think it'll have tutorials for all the levels though, which would make it easier to have on a disc rather than having to keep getting individual videos from the 'net.

OMG, Bowser's fingers were bigger than Mario's whole body. =0

The music is pretty awesome, and this looks like it's going to be a really nice platformer, also, I lol'd when Yoshi passed star bits when he ate the goomba.

Plus,
WE FINALLY GET A LAKITU BOSS! And Lil' Poinks, Yoshi's tongue object-grab-jump maneuver from Yoshi's Story, and Whomps make returns! I'm definitely getting this!

Boo House music from Super Mario World?! Hell yes. So far this game looks very challenging from those video's.

Strangely, the Lakitu boss might be the same boss from New Super Mario Bros world 7. I'm happy the Whomps returned :D

I meant a 3-D Lakitu boss

Also the athletic theme will be back from SMW too. :bee:

♣ I think you mean Edge Magazine. Famitsu has four different raters, it would have to be a 40/40 if it's been rated by Famitsu. ;p ♥

♣ If Famitsu were to give SMG2 a perfect score, that would be lovely, they didn't give the SMG a perfect score, but New Super Mario Bros Wii reserved it. ♥

Wow, I thought this game was coming out NEXT month.

I'm pretty pumped, now. I was going to get Monster Hunter Tri sometime this month, but that can wait.

Yeah, that one in outerspace (forget which one) in SMG that had barely enough time to collect 100 purple coins using the pull stars was intense. Thankfully there was a 1-up in the stage but you only have about five seconds to spare when doing a GOOD run through it, but most of the time I bumped into something and lost enough seconds to get a time out inches from the star.

It was the galaxy where you fought Bouldergeist and raced that Boo wearing a helmet.

Oh god. I remember that mission. Purple coin pull star one I mean.

For some reason, I remember having trouble with it a LOT my first time playing through it, but then I took a long break, tried it again and beat it first try.

Weird.

I just saw a Super Mario Galaxy 2 video spoof. Mario was fighting Bowser, and when Bowser jumped up and increased his size to smash the planet he yelled "Falcon Punch!"

Needless to say, I burst out laughing.

I just realized (while looking for said spoof) that Nintendo has a Youtube channel!

The funny thing is, the Wii channel's location says "United States".

Who takes Famitsu seriously these days anyway?

Ghostly Galaxy... I honestly think that was the hardest 100 purple coins star in the game.

I just realized I'll probably be out of town when this game releases =(

♣ Nintendogs is amazing. <3 ♥

♣ It's very rare to see a game that receive a perfect 40/40 from their review. Not even the amazing Galaxy didn't have a 40/40 but a 38/40. Some of their 40/40 ratings do hold questions like Final Fantasy XIII. ♥

I'm always iffy about reviews myself. A lot of times they are wrong for me for some reason. I've never really bothered listening to Famitsu in the past, either. They seem kind of weird =/

The only one I really respect at this point is IGN, but even then it doesn't look so good for the Nintendo editorials since Matt left. He was my favorite person there. =/

Famitsu reviews have gone down hill ever since they've started handing out 38-39/40's like candy. Then there's also this. They just don't seem as reliable or fair as they were 5+ years back. Still, I expect reviews for SMG2 to go down because the typical "its more of the same" argument.
