Yeah they are just in certain places. So are in places that are hard to reach or where you have to time your super jump. Stuff like that.

I just finally beat the Stone Cyclone one. You definitely can use triple jump, and in fact I think that's the only way to get the star. It helps to be Luigi....Okay, uh... for the last time, I need some help. ^-^;
I'm on my last two green stars- the second for Bowser's Galaxy Generator and the first for that evil Cyclone Stone Galaxy that has given me a pain in the neck ever since I first played it e_e
Okay, so... basically, I can find the stars, I just can't get them. The GameFAQs guide I found said, for BGG, to use Yoshi's flutter jump... doesn't work.Then for Cyclone Stone, it says to triple jump. That doesn't work either.
Help is much appreciated, guys. ^^;
Me too, eheh. ^^; The guide didn't specify where you're supposed to triple jump + spin from. Turns out you have to follow the Tox Box when you first get on that circular path and triple jump from there, not the wavy incline. e.e; I also got the second Bowser's Galaxy Generator green star by just keeping two clouds handy...I just finally beat the Stone Cyclone one. You definitely can use triple jump, and in fact I think that's the only way to get the star. It helps to be Luigi.
...That's what I was doing at first.Actually, I jumped from the incline and it worked. Again I was Luigi though.
I was making it really complicated at first. I was trying to stomp on the time-slower button, then time it perfectly so I would get to the Tox Box when it was under the star, then jump onto the box and get the star from that. Needless to say I was getting really frustrated
What were your gripes with the control out of curiousity? They were spot on for me. Maybe some minor camera issues in some spots but that was it.Alright, here are my complaints about SMG2.
I hate the controls.
Depends. You have to get 9999 starbits in the bank. I had this done before I even unlocked Grandmaster Galaxy though, just from playing normally and dying a lot.Well, I guess I completed the game for as much as I can for now.
I got 241 stars. I just need to unlock the Prankster Comet on the Grandmaster Galaxy.
Please tell me there's an easy way to do this?
It's really the fastest and easiest way, unless you're really bad at rolling with Rock Mario or something. It's the second star I believe. Or either green star. There's even a checkpoint and a 1-up in the exact area so you'll never get a game over.I was hoping to go elsewhere.
I don't like that one for some reason or another. Oh well. Looks like I'll be stuck doing that for a while.![]()
Besides Melty Monster, you can get a lot of starbits in Sweet Mystery Galaxy.And that's because I decided to start depositing because I was bored. If that's the case, now I need to find a place where I can make starbits, and a whole lot of them.
Taken from a guide at gamefaqs.As a side note, this level is excellent for collecting Star Bits. After you touch the first flag, jump off and die. When you respawn, the camera will be pointed forward towards the rest of the level. Without moving, collect all the Star Bits that you can see by waving the pointer around the screen. Then run around, and the camera will shift. Collect the Star Bits in the background that are shaped like two stars. Die, respawn again, and repeat. You should collect over 50 Star Bits per death using this method... and since you earn a 1-Up for every 100 Star Bits, and since your collected Star Bits stay
with you after you die, it can be continued for a while. Once you have the maximum 999, just finish the Star to add them to your total.
