Also, if you listen to any song that was put back in SMG2 from SMG1 back-to-back, you can definately tell they're not the same. They've remastered so much music from SMG1 so well, even the Final Battle music is nearly the same, just remastered to the point where it sounds almost completely different.

Nintendo's composers are geniuses.

Edit:

Wow nobody is posting in this thread.

Anyways, Minor spoilers, but I have a feeling there was less beta testing than needed in this game.

106 stars right now.
The Purple Coin mission on Rolling Coaster was a bit hard. Also, Stone Cyclone made me raaaaaage. I loved that Boss galaxy with 4 bosses from the 1st Galaxy :bee:
@UberMario
I did the 1st one, but there were no Piranha Plants.
Wow, Cloud Mario IS broken.

Dash Pepper is also at
the final boss level. You use it to quickly run through 2 walls of lava that close in on you.

I'm working on finding Cosmic Medals so I can get more stars. :bee:

EDIT: Also, you know what's nuts?
The Prankster Comet on Mario Squared Galaxy. A purple coin mission with disappearing platforms and Cosmic Clones is nuts.

I never really got into Beat Block's music, but hearing that made it even more funky.

I'm yet to buy this, and am dubious about doing so, I found several good reviews for it.. but I found tons of good reviews for galaxy1 and that didn't impress me, the planetary novelty wore off after about 20 stars. Does this game actually excel galaxy1 to a significant degree?

You know how many stars there are in total in this game?
242
. That's ****ing nuts. I myself just cleared
The Perfect Run
last night and became
Grandmaster of Galaxies
in a mere 16 days. Who else is completely done, or am I the only one with no social life atm? :psycho:

By the way, I feel the last level is
the hardest Mario level I have ever played
. No joke.

Hell yes. I'm ashamed that they didn't put this in the original soundtrack. Someone make this a downloadable please. XD

Well, I don't think the number of stars is a spoiler since the first Galaxy has the same amount, though getting the stars is a different task. I finished Galaxy at least five days since I'm mostly use to every Mario platformed and all, though I did die a lot
304 times
. And the last part you said, I agree with you.

Yep. =3

If you found Galaxy 1 that boring, I wouldn't bother with this one. It's the same thing, just much better- more variation, less repetition of ideas, less filler.

I didn't play Galaxy one, and just bought Galaxy 2. I get to play it in an hour or so, and I hope I'm excited for a good game. (I loved SM64/SMS if that means anything) Oh, and I've beaten Mario 1, 2, and 3 D=/

Some games just don't lose value because they're good games.

Old Nintendo games still sell for bucketloads, I wouldn't be surprised if it was still $50 for another few months.

Just look at the original SMG. I'm pretty sure a price drop didn't come till SMG2 was about to come out. SMG is 3 years old. I wouldn't be surprised if this game doesn't drop its price well over a year later.

Yes! I love this galaxy so much, the Prankster Comet is gonna be awesome!

Me approximately 45 minutes later:

Note: Yaya does not look like Heavy Weapons Guy.

Or Rage Guy.

I actually thought that was a pretty fun Comet.

Battle Belt Daredevil Run is horrible though. Actually, all Daredevil challenges ever are bad and normally not fun at all.

Yeah, and in fact this is the case with most/all Nintendo 1st party games. I dunno how the price sticks like that.

I'm on 100 stars, and just got the end credits.
I had no idea there was another galaxy after, and had no clue how I was supposed to get 20 more stars when I was already nearly done with worlds 1-6
Awesome.

My main problem with this game is the Bowser fights. Why are they still so easy?

I'm so glad I got this. I never played the first one, but this is a really good game.

Also:

Brawl is still 50 dollars in a lot of places
Zelda TP is 50 dollars in a lot of places
SMG is still 50 dollars in a lot of places

Since it got a 10 by IGN and stuff, I wouldn't expect a drop.

God balancing this and OoT is hard X.x Go me for playing both.

I lol every time I see SMG, Brawl, MP8, and others that are getting a few years on them at $50. It's kinda weird and amazing at the same time. Just a testament to how awesome the games are. :D

I am annoyed by this game. I have all the stars I can get, but I can't get past the 3 World Star requierment to go into the pipe. And what is with those outline stars in some menus of a some galaxys? Seriously thinking or selling this and buying something else.

So you collected over 28 stars in world 3 but can't get to the pipe still? I think the outline stars is the secret stars you haven't collected yet. Which Galaxy's did they those appear in?

Perhaps this is due to cultural differences.. but when galaxy1 came out it was around £40 (around $60) but I bought it for £15 (like $20) about 2 years ago, which was about 6 months after it came out

most galaxies have multiple stars, often they are hidden.

Lol if Mario is too confusing for you, I can't imagine any other game being much easier.

In each galaxy you should pick up the big Comet Medal. This unlocks a new stage for that galaxy later on. The outline of stars with the question mark means there's a hidden star in the level. Usually, you find this by going back into a star you already beat, and finding another way through. Usually, you have to collect 20-30 coins and feed them to a Luma that's in the stage, then he transforms into a planet where you can get a new star.

I'm very satisfied with this game personally. I skipped SMG1 for some reason, and SMS I never really finished. So I don't have a lot to base it off of, but the game seems great.

Gaaaahhh, I hate Stone Cyclone Galaxy so much.

I also can't believe they brought back
Luigi's Purple Coins
and added Cosmic Clones to it >:o
This statement is what I would say.
Slipsand's Prankster Comet cause me so much rage a while ago. My brother helped me by stopping the balls that the boss shoots.

That Boss was fairly Easy on Daredevil Run...All you had to do was shoot fireballs while jumping behind a rock...The Rock Stops your momentum from getting sucked in and blocks the Projectiles

Long jump is your friend on that fight.

Long jump, long jump, long jump to avoid the balls.

Land on one of the stone floors, commence ******.
