Old, but should be addressed.

That's just a matter of semantics Ghost. If I beat you in a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors, would you say that I "out-played" you in that game?
Probably Nobody.

But if I beat you in 50 games of rock paper scissors, then hell yea.

It's a matter of sample size, one game of RPS is simply too small a sample to be a reliable predictor of skill. If somebody reliably beats 50 games out of 50, then I very much doubt that it's not enough sample size to show a strong correlation.

Aka, somebody reads your teching once, could be luck. Somebody reads your teching a lot, then it's most likely skill.

Ok, which means that the first time every effectively different scenario occurs, you would agree that it is luck-based.

In a Bo3 set, a lot of those situations come up. The impact they have on the match is equivalent to that of some random stage/character elements, even though it isn't quite as obvious.

Not quite, it's merely within the margin of error for luck, even with stupidly large skill differences. The majority of time, the more skillful player will win, but it's easily within statistical error.

It's not like flipping a fair coin where any consistent result is all a matter of luck, it's a matter of testing enough times to recognize how unfair the coin actually is.

Sorry for the abrupt change in subject, but I'm constructing a ruleset with a larger stagelist, and I need to add Onett or Distant Planet to the list in order to have an odd number... which one do you think I should go with?

Well if they do it for 5 seconds in Japan, they should do it for much long.
It says EDC is not allowed for more than 10 seconds and then after you do it a first time you must destroy the opponent's stock. Until then, further use of it is prohibited.
I modified it a bit. Less time because the timer is lower and the stock condition is unnecessary with 1 stock.

Both are borderline, because Onett has the walls and walkoffs (balanced by the cars) and Distant Planet has the pellets... close, but I think I'll go with DP (twss :p)

DP definitely better. Onett has all of Distant Planet's problem and then some.

GODDAMMIT! I HATE COMMUNITY!!

Now they are using that old trick in the book,
"I can't counter your logic-based arguments with my logic-based arguments, so I'll look for videos of you playing and say that you suck, so, now that I know you suck, any argument you say from now on, is invalid".

Headbanging feels so right when you have long hair to do it with. :)

For those who care, my show went well! :D Banked in a lot of cash, which is good.

Walkoffs like never happen. Seriously. And no1 gets anymore powerful from this stage than other stages can already give them. I personally support Onett. The items from DP is a much larger factor than what onett has against it.

imo

The items on DP _are_ the reason why its other issues aren't a factor LOL. It's okay for a character to spawn items but not okay for a stage to spawn (very weak) items?

In other news, I've found the best way to improve:
Mild electric shocks every time you take damage :troll:

Just remind everyone

Ktar has brinstar banned and it's looking pretty big, so let's see if the combo destruction brings some variety
