And its not only about economy of course. There are some families who simply can't affort to pay the studies to their son/daughter and a possible potential talent in some speciality is lost. This is also bad for the countries.

Thats the part I was talking about.
Most of people just dont have the studies or dont have the chance to get better jobs and get more money. Also, someone MUST have ****ty jobs, because they are part of this working world and someone has to have them.
It's not really true that someone has to have a "****ty" job. Suppose that everyone is smart enough to have a cozy office job. Then, no one will want to take the "bad" jobs and thus those employers must pay more to attract people to work for them. Because of higher pay, these "bad" jobs then become decent jobs.

I agree though that some people simply don't have the abilities or opportunities to get a high paying job. That is unfortunate, especially in the case of people that could do a job well but never got the opportunity to get that job. But why punish the people who are successful?

And by helping those poor people you also help the whole economy, because they use the money better while rich people just have too much money, i mean, they dont need it or spend it on really really unnecessary stuff.

A great example of clever tax policy: In finland, if a rich person gets a traffic infraction, he has to pay depending of his income, for example he could pay the equivalent of 1000 euros while a poor person would only pay 100.
I don't understand how taking money from a productive group and giving it to another less productive group is good for the economy. It distorts incentives.

I also don't know what you mean when you say that rich people spend money on unnecessary stuff. If they enjoy it, what's the big deal? I guess you could think it's distasteful. I could also say that playing video games is distasteful or stupid or whatever. In the end it is YOUR choice to play video games.

If your argument is "Why do you need a private jet, that money should be going to starving kids!" then I say "Why do you need a computer and video games, you should sell those and give the money to people who need it more!" In my opinion the only difference between these two is scale.

By the way, I'm just trying to explain what I think (and I've thought about this stuff a lot). I'm not trying to be insulting or anything.

You can't simply eliminate ****ty jobs because its just normal, there always will be high paid jogs and badly paid jobs, no matter what.
It's not about punishing successful people, its about helping the poor people... and money has to be taken from somewhere. Cmon dude it's not hard to understand. People who are truly rich wont even bother about it.

I smell you are a rich person -.-
Bad comparison you made, because computers are also very helpful and necessary for working and doing other useful stuff while a private jet is really unnecessary and you can help thousands of poor families with the money of it's cost.
People who think like you should try for some days the life of the really poor people and see how it feels.

No matter what, you are punishing the successful, by taking away what they have. If the rich people truly don't care, then I think that's fine, as they are voluntarily giving their money away. But you want to TAKE their money.

You've just handwaved the jet vs computer. I'm sure you can think of ways that private jets are "useful" too. My point is that value is subjective. YOU decide what is useful and important to you, using your own subjective preferences. I might want a new basketball, while you might think basketball is stupid. I might think that having an n64 is "unnecessary" or a waste of time. But you are the one that wants to force his preferences onto everyone else.

And yeah what would you consider rich? I'm certainly rich relative to 99.9% of the humans that have ever lived. But then again I think having a computer would put you in that category pretty easily :)

Like I said already, if he agrees to it I don't have a problem. In fact I think many wealthier people are fine with sending some of their money to the poor. I just don't think you should be forced to.

Upper Class people are taxed MUCH heavier than 1%...

Last year 95% of my fathers net income went to paying his property taxes, income taxes, his employee's taxes and other misc taxes. That is immoral and wrong, it's not the governments job to distribute wealth. It's the job of the gov to ensure the rights of citizens are upheld, which (in the US, atleast) doesn't include having money.

looks like I have the server IP and exact time for the MASTERS CUP 11/29 5AM PST

moyashi said I can p2p if my opponent agrees (I get 4 or 5 normally, or 9 with Hokkaido people)

btw this is my third or fourth time entering one of their online tourneys. I remember for a 3on3 tourney my team lost first round lol it's always single elimination and you have to use the same character for the whole thing. the end matches are usually streamed through windows media player for everyone to watch

alright looks like JAIME can join I just asked we'll see if JAIME still wants to do it. Anyone outside west coast should not join

Jake is definitely dropping Yoshi
I played smash 64 on console at a smash night with my friends... and we did a few free-for-alls for fun. It was three DK's and one Falcon (me being one of the DK's). Mid-way through the match, the TV would turn off and on randomly for some reason... and it would continue to do that. We would continue playing everytime it turned on and pause everytime it turned off. At one point in the match, one of my friends got a double Giant Punch (which would have killed both of them), and less than a half second later, the tv turned off again and would not turn back on. We determined the double Giant Punch killed the TV.

True story. Nybb can back me up on this too (he was one of the DK's :p)
