Aren't Trailer Theory's results super arbitrary and only really worked with Banjo-K.Rool reveals so far?

Wait, there's ANOTHER theory? What's trailer theory? (Googling didn't help)

Companion Theory breaks down because Kazooie's not a companion, Color Theory doesn't make sense (that's not how character's are chosen, the only way this is true is if they coincidentally matched up and designed the marketing material around it), and I'm sure there's another one I can't remember, so it's automatically wrong.

(Disclaimer: this is coming from someone who was adamantly against Box Theory, so my speculation is automatically wrong)

I was a dedicated Gamecube kid, and I loved Melee and Wind Waker to pieces. The latter remains my favorite video game to this day.

So you can imagine I was pretty damn hyped (and completely shocked) when I discovered that Toon Link was in Brawl via unlocking him.

I was also excited to see since I had learned about them through Melee's trophies, liked what info I was told concerning them, and grew curious what they could do if they were playable in Smash, too. Come Brawl, I got my wish. Still had to wait on others like K. Rool for a few games more, and still am waiting on Dixie Kong as well. But I was nonetheless very satisfied. That should hardly come off as surprising with King Dedede, considering that I've mained him for three games straight, now. Along with that, I was also excited to see for similar reasons as I was excited to see Toon Link, although I always thought he was way more likely to join the battle than I thought Toon Link was. "I love this version of Link, but there's no way they'd ever bring a totally different-looking Link to Smash. Why would they ever do that?" That was essentially my mindset going from Melee into Brawl, concerning the little hero. Man am I glad I was completely wrong.

It's a real shame they stopped updating this game. We are still getting winter 2018 crate drops when we are almost in July for crying out loud.

Still waiting for the Heavy update.

There’s also Mii Costume theory.

That's the other one I was trying to remember--the 3 C theories. Out of all of them, Mii Costume theory actually makes the most sense, though I don't think it's necessarily the case. I do see Mii costumes coming with characters, and out of all of the previous companies, I think Capcom is the most likely. I actually doubt that Bandai Namco will get another character--they worked on the games, and the last two base games only had one character between them, I think because there's not many characters to choose from. Personally, I'd prefer Agumon. But Microsoft being in means that companies outside of returning ones can be involved, and would probably come with new Mii costumes with them (I feel like a Minecraft Mii costume is the most likely).

So if I were to rate the 3 C theories.

1. Mii Costume theory - not predictive, but makes sense that it will happen to one or more returning companies
2. Color theory - if true, it is purely coincidental, and they took advantage of the characters having different color schemes to advertise--also vague, since what colors go with what characters is arbitrary
3. Companion theory - Kazooie is not a companion, if anything she's the primary character who does all the work. A companion, in my mind, goes along with the character even if they're not part of the action. Kazooie is a part of the action.

I get what you mean. I'm still an active player of TF2 myself. I'd like to see more beyond balance updates again, soon.

They did promise a Heavy update, so it should release...eventually...

TF2's still a pretty solid and active game for one that's over a decade old, though. I'm impressed it's held out this long, and I hope that it continues to receive updates here and there. Rare and infrequent as they might be.

Until three days ago, now I’m going back and forth between rabbit and lizard.

I like Scorbunny because it's not the typical color scheme of a fire starter, but it makes sense (when I think of really hot things, I think "white hot"), and so despite being different, it fits perfectly. Probably the most unique starter in a while outside of Rowlet, as the other ones don't do anything that pops out to me. Though this is coming from someone who hasn't paid much attention since Gen 2, so my opinion is invalid and can be discarded as such.

but aside from that, there's a few things i saw that i wanted to throw 2 cents on

male vs female Corrin: i mostly stick to female Corrin, but that's mostly because she has the orange color that i like the best
same thing with male Robin, who has the top tier White Mage color

DQ commands: when it comes to the spell menu, my best and brightest guess, is that you can choose whether or not to actually pull the menu up or not
like push and hold for the menu, but you can just tap the special button to hotkey cast the last spell you had selected <or the default spell if it's match start>

I think the trailer theory may be something someone suggested in the Newcomer Speculation thread, suggesting that the Duck Hunt dog and duck using feathers to look like Banjo and Kazooie could be a hint for Crash because of Aku Aku having feathers, as well as the setting being a jungle.

They also said something about Nightmare but I forgot what they said for him.

This theory may also include the possibility that they're reusing assets for newcomer trailers, but meh B-K's trailer was the way it was for a reason and clearly had concept differences from K. Rool's among the other differences, DQ Hero's trailer was completely new, and I'd be surprised if they weren't reusing models and stuff in every trailer to save time.

I don't believe this theory because I already learned my lesson about straw-grasping when we had the chairs, and honestly this seems like even more straw-grasping than the chairs was.
