Mementos

Mementos would be an entirely flat stage with tall walls on the side that can be broken, but not jumped over. The Platform you are standing on is a Train Platform, one that resembles the Platform in the menu screen for Persona 5 base

Much like the menu you are standing in front of the train tracks, Behind the Tracks is a Large crack in the wall that shows off the Mementos map. There are also a lot of red highlights and colors everywhere, on the train, the mementos map. the Train times board. Those change to a different color depending on what song is being played
Red for Persona 5
Yellow for Persona 4
Blue for Persona 3
Orange for Persona 2
Purple for Revelations: Persona
One more detail is there is a TV that is on static in the background

Whenever the Train Passes by 3 Members of the Phantom Thieves appear, when it passes by again 3 different members appear, Something changes in the background according to which member appears

Note: Potential Spoilers for Persona 5, Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Strikers ahead!
SkullVolleyballs appear on the ground
MonaVelvet Room doors will appear more often
PantherA Vague Mirage of Shujin Academy appears in front of the Mementos map
FoxSayuri is hung up on the wall of the Station
QueenThe Money Particle from the palace you obtain her in falls in front of the Mementos map
OracleThe Particle that appears throughout the Palace you obtain her in appears on the stage
NoirThe Big Bang Challenge Burger appears on one of the Seats
CrowA Vague Mirage of FINAL BOSS SPOILER Shido's Palace appears in front of the mementos map
VioletBlue Tentacles appear all over the background
SophieSophie's Face appears on the TV Screen in addition to her being on the stage
WolfA Vague Mirage of PERSONA 5 STRIKER SPOILER Akane's Palace appears in front of the mementos map

There is one more gimmick, On the main platform a Door to the velvet room will open, Revealing a random attendant who will then leave an item in front of the door and then leaves.

The Attendant changes depending on which theme for Mementos you have

Persona 5Caroline and Justine or Lavenza
Persona 4Margaret or Marie
Persona 3Elizabeth or Theodore
Persona 2Belladonna or Demon Painter
Revelations PersonaNameless

The Aforementioned TV will display random images depending on which theme

Persona 5Random dungeons and the Loading Screen animation
Persona 4The TV loading screen animation and Teddie
Persona 3Tartarus
Persona 2Joker
Revelations PersonaNyx

A few more small details
-A Blue Butterfly will rarely fly across the stage
-Running and walking produces the pink particles
-A Random Arcana card will fly across the Mementos map

Joker’s stage will be Mementos. Now onto the next job:

Job #172: Submit A Moveset For Joker
Submit what you think should be Joker’s moveset. All you need to submit are the specials and final smash although you can do more if you want to.

Joker would basically have the same moveset he does in our universe, With some changes

The rebellion meter is still a thing and functions the same

Basic Attacks:

His Forward tilt now works like how Bayonetta's F-tilt, it combos into each other and the animation is the 3 hit combo from Strikers

Forward Air is like His Forward tilt so it can combo into each hit and it suspends him in air, the animation is also from Strikers

Side Smash is now called Cleave and the attack has Arsene appearing (Regardless of how much meter you have) and performing an underhanded claw swipe

Up Smash is now called Dream Needle, Arsene Appears and shoots a barrage of needles upwards, it has a 20% chance to make the enemy hit fall asleep

Special Attacks
His neutral is still Gun but if you do this input :GCD::GCDL::GCL: + :GCB: Joker will perform Down Shot, it is a single powerful shot, but it has a long cooldown, and consumes your rebellion gauge

Side Special is Eiha/Eigaon, Functions the same as how it does in our universe

Down Special when Meter isn't full is called Tetrakarn/Makarakarn, When the Meter is full it Becomes "Showtime", This is a counter when activated Joker jumps up and creates a massive Death Explosion, This can only be used once, but the meter doesn't run out and the ability becomes Tetrakarn/Makarakarn again.

Up Special is Still the Grappling hook and at full meter it is still Wings Of Rebellion

His Final Smash is still All-Out Attack but only, Crow, Violet, Sophie and Wolf can appear.

PaRappa stage: Fruites Dojo

Dojo! Casino! It's all in the mind! This is a stage designed for competive play, but does have hazards with hazards on. You fight on the Fruites Dojo, which has cliffs, a sunset, and giant Chop Chop Master Onion in the background - the walls of the dojo are intact and you can even see the deer head and little onion men, but the walls cut off at the battle arena.

The layout resembles Melee Yoshi Adventure with two soft platforms sloped down towards each other - they both resemble the green mat on the floor. That aforementioned hazard is Cool Mode - pulling off a combo will put the word "COOL" above your fighter's HUD, Cool Mode is essentially turbo mode - if you land a hit, you can immediately do another input for another hit.

There aren't any cameos beyond Chop Chop Master Onion himself in the sky, though his design changes depending on which song you're playing - he'll have his regular outfit for PTR1 songs and any misc. songs we may add, his overgrown/homeless outfit for UmJammer Lammy songs, and his Romantic Karate outfit for PTR2 songs

PaRappa is a glass cannon shoto type who's a little faster and lighter than an average character of his archetype. He does not have any major gimmicks, but does have a microphone tether grab. A lot of moves here are taken from PlayStation All-Stars, see this video for further reference.

Rapid Jab: A multi-punch that ends with a shoulder hit - based his neutral and forward square moves from PSASBR

Dash: PaRappa spins his microphone like a fan towards the screen while running. Based on his side circle move from PSASBR

Up Tilt: An afro made of noodles grows from beneath PaRappa's hat, a reference to the Hair Scare stage from PaRappa 2

Down Tilt: PaRappa does a sliding kick, based on his down square from PSASBR

Forward Tilt: PaRappa does a downwards kick, based on his neutral air square from PSASBR

Up Smash: PaRappa does a handplant skateboard trick, based on his up triangle from PSASBR

Down Smash: PaRappa places Boxxy Boy at his feet, who lets out a sick beat. Based loosely on his Up Circle from PSASBR.

Side Smash: A forwards whack with his skateboard. Based on his neutral Triangle move from PSASBR

Up Air: An uppercut that can be cancelled into itself 3 times over, based on his up Square from PSASBR

Down Air: PaRappa stomps down, should he land on a foe, stop to kick them a bit more. Based on his air down from PSASBR

Back Air: PaRappa kicks backwards, sending him in a backwards trajectory. This will also reverse his direction! Based on his air forward square from PSASBR

Neutral Air: PaRappa holds his arms out and spins, a loose reference to Vibri's princess form from Vib-Ribbon, another Nana-OnSha game.

Forward Air: PaRappa slams down his skateboard, spiking foes. Based on his air down Triangle from PSASBR

Up B: Hold the Hose Real Tight: PaRappa gets a fire hose and pumps it downwards in a burst to fly. This goes relatively high and has a light windbox at the bottom, but no hitbox. Source

Down B: Double Dutch Inline Skate: PaRappa puts on roller skates and dashes forwards - this move goes fast and deals a lot of damage but only hits on his feet and legs. If PaRappa jumps out of this move the skates will continue rolling on! Source

Side B: I Can Sell Like This: PaRappa throws an arced projectile of one of the goods from Prince Fleaswallow's flea market. If it hits a foe, it will turn into money and linger - should PaRappa or a foe pick up or throw the money, it will be more powerful. It increases in strength every time it's thrown, and the countdown to disappearing eill reset too - but the amount of time it can linger for will also decrease as it gets more powerful. Source

B: Kick! Punch! Chop!: a counter-command grab - after hitting once a bar appears above PaRappa, and he can either press the special button again at the right time to do the second hit of the counter, or cancel it into any other action he wants at any time. This can be mashed out of, but every hit will reset the mashing. Source

Final Smash: Doom Box: PaRappa sings the portion MC King Kong Mushi's Live Rap used in PSASBR - you actually get to press buttons along to the rhythm to create shockwaves like DK's old bongo FS! Every button used to represent a beat is X, but you don't necessarily need to press B Source

The moveset of Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario will be used by default. Now onto the next job:

Job #175: Submit A DLC Character
You know the drill, submit a character you think should be added as DLC. Two characters will be added. Please submit a character, explain who they are and a little bit about how they would fight, and say why you think they should be added to this game.

Job 175:
R.O.B. (Nintendo Hardware/Other Nintendo series)

1640095830537.png

(Render taken from Smash Ultimate)
Who is R.O.B?
R.O.B. (Robotic Operated Buddy) is a NES Accessory/Peripheral and one of Nintendo Characters, who is very Iconic and he appeared in a lot of Nintendo Games like Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart DS. R.O.B. was created by Gunpei Yokoi, who was working at NIntendo in 1980's and he saved Gaming Industry from Market Crash in 1983, which is very important event of Gaming History when ROB saved it before crashing.
In overall, ROB is one of Iconic gaming Accesories of all time in Gaming History and he really deserves a spot for the Roster.

How ROB could work in Alternate Universe Smash?
Well, he could work identically like in Smash, but he could have some changes in this Universe.
First, he could have some overhauls in Moveset like he could use Weapons from other Nintendo Games like Super Scope as Side Smash, where it shoots short range Rocket-like projectile that explodes in front of it for Example. Rest of the moveset stays like in Real Smash.

Why ROB deserves the spot for Celebration of Gaming?
I nominate ROB as Fighter in AU SSB, because he could represent other Nintendo Properties unrepresented earlier like Space Harrier and Amingo did it earlier. In fact, since it's a Celebration of whole Gaming, why can't we just implement ROB as Fighter to be Hardware Representant in Smash? Besides, the roster actually needs an another Hardware rep like Clippy, but from Nintendo and it can also bring a lot of Nintendo fans to Game because of being Iconic Accessory character.

John Madden

Namesake of the 17th highest selling game series of all time, John Madden would be out of the sportscaster's chair to touchdown on the battlefield! Using the football skills he coached for 18 years, he'll be a worthy fighter on the battlefield - so long as his fear of heights doesn't get in the way...

Changing my submission to

William Afton (Five Night's at Freddy's)

(AKA Springtrap, AKA Scraptrap, AKA, GlitchTrap, AKA Burntrap)

He Always comes back, William Afton is the main villain of the FNAF Franchise, He would be a very vicious character and has some interesting potential for a moveset

We also only have 1 horror rep on the roster

MONOKUMA BRINGS THE DESPAIR

Who is this "Monokuma" feller?
Monokuma is the main antagonist of the Danganrompa games. He kidnapped 15 (16 in the later games) students who excel in a certain field (Such as baseball, singing, and even fanfiction writing!?), trapped them in a heavy security high school (where he is the headmaster), and forced them to participate in a killing game. You may be asking, "what is a killing game?" A killing game is a "game" (also a reality TV show) where the students need to kill each other. "Kill each other why?" So they can escape this gosh darn killing game, of course!!! But there's a catch: You can only escape if you get away with the act. After a student is killed, the remaining students have to participate in a "class trial" where everyone tries to figure out who the culprit is. And what happens if the culprit is caught?

Execution, of course!
You heard me right: Monokuma straight up EXECUTES his "students" who get caught murdering another student. "Why is Monokuma doing this?" For despair!!! But Monokuma isn't alone. In the second game, he gets the help of his kind-spirited sister, Monomi, and in the third game, his lovely, murderous children, the Monokubs!

Monokuma is a dumb teddy bear! What can he do?
Monokuma has tons of material to pull from, including his executions and his one-sided fights with Monomi. He could even summon his Monokub children to fight with him! I'm clearly the not only one who believes Monokuma has moveset potential, look at this! (I know that some people on this website despise Brawlfan1, but it's something)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4_EHm5soJM

Monokuma isn't even the protagonist! Why should he get in?
So we can at least get some Danganronpa content, and I can turn the forbidden trio into spirits.

First of all, to answer the protagonist argument, Kazuya isn't the protagonist anymore and he got in before Heihachi. Secondly, Monokuma would bring in a genre not currently represented in Smash: A Visual Novel. Monokuma also has a somewhat charming personality, so it would be interesting to see him interact with the Smash cast.

And while you're at it, why not visit the Monokuma support thread?
https://smashboards.com/threads/the-mascot-of-despair-monokuma-punishes-the-competition.454144/
Repurposing my Monokuma writeup for the Infinite thread. A lot of these points aren't valid anymore, but it still works overall, in my opinion.

He has been mentioned a few times and would be be fun to have, especially since already have Nemesis. He would be a heavy character who uses his blade and could also summon other SH monsters.

Yeah sorry but I don’t think he would be eligible since the madden games are technically licensed by the NFL. I do like the idea of adding a sports game rep though.

Anyways I’ll resubmit Meat Boy
I’ll submit Meat Boy from Super Meat Boy

Super Meat Boy and to a lesser extent the original Meat Boy is one of the first modern indie games to really get big, get a console release, and become popular. I imagine he would fight with a lot of jumps and slides as well as razor blades. He could reference Indie Pogo in a couple of attacks too.

I think he would be a good pick because he would be representation for not only indie games but also flash games as well. His moveset would be pretty unique too. We could also use some more non-human characters as well IMO so I think he would be good.

Replacement submission: Miner Willy
Miner Willy
View attachment 339601
A British gaming icon, Miner Willy starred in a set of microcomputer games in the 1980s - the second game, Jet Set Willy, being a historical predecessor to the Metroidvania genre. While Willy doesn't have many abilities or ways to defend himself, he could use a variety of the silly enemies from all his games to attack - there are a lot of said enemies - and use general mining-related attacks with spades; pickaxes; coal; e.t.c.

I was also thinking Miner Willy's content could be a composite of all British microcomputer games (or at least all British microcomputer games that didn't become bigger game franchises later down the line - sorry Lemmings) as realistically it probably wouldn't be too hard to get the rights to most of them.

2. Willy
3. Meat Boy

I won’t close voting until after christmas day so I suppose we’ll have a short break now
Yeah Springtrap is totally fine, William Afton is just the more technical name due to how many variations of Springtrap there are

Here are the results of the Job #175 voting:
Cloud 4
R.O.B. 2
Tidus 4
Monokuma 5
Springtrap 6
Pyramid Head 7
Meat Boy 1
Miner Willy 13
Chun-Li 12

And so Miner Willy and Chun-Li will both be added as DLC characters! I really like the idea of us including a rep for British microcomputer games and I was thinking it would be good to include one DLC character who is a rep for a series that already has a character in the base game so I like the idea of these characters as DLC!

For Miner Willy, like Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario suggested, I’m gonna make it so that British microcomputer characters from smaller studios that haven’t become big series will be eligible for profiles and music. I know this criteria isn’t that well-defined so if you want to know if a character you want to submit as a profile will be eligible you can go ahead and ask.

As for Chun-Li, I’ll extend the limit on Street Fighter profiles and music to 70 and any new music will be marked as DLC. We probably won’t get to that number but I will change the limit.

Anyway, here’s the next job:

Miner Willy stage: Jet Set Willy

This is a big stage that could be best described as a scrolling Great Cave Offensive, it goes in random directions and has enemies. 11. Ocean Loader 3 - Ocean games
  12. Ocean Loader 4 - Ocean games

PaRappa songs:

  2. Instructor Mooselini's RAP
  3. Prince Fleaswallow's RAP
  4. Cheap Cheap the Cooking Chicken's RAP

Willy is a trapper sort of fighter, similar to Pac-Man

B: Enemy Summon

Miner Willy summons one of the many enemies from Jet Set Willy, rendered as sprites. You can hold slightly upwards to make them move up and down or slightly downwards to make them not move at all, with moving left and right being the default

Side B: Hot Coal Trap

Willy places down coal, he can move left and right while placing it down and will stop when he's either placed too much or the button is released - anyone who walks over the coal will be damaged slightly but not get knockback. Willy is included however, ajd that can also apply when placing the coal. The enemy summon enemies gobble up coal.

Down B: Squashing Foot

Somewhat similarly to Pikachu's Down B, Willy spawns a foot to come downwards on the highest platform above him. The foot will expand out the coal and destroy the enemies. It also, of course, can crush and ground foes.

Up B: Shovel Spin

Willy jumps upwards while spinning a shovel around him, this is a pretty lousy recovery move, but if used on the ground there'll also be dirt projectiles flying around. Additionally, if Willy hits summoned enemies with the shovel they'll change their trajectory; the coal will bounce up and land on any platforms it may appear above, and the foot will go a little slower downwards.

It seems that you have a knowledge about Miner Willy.
Good moveset anyways.
