The Kremlin

The second stage for Tetris, the Kremlin has you fight in the midst of a shining Moscow midnight celebration with the Kremlin itself in the background, seperated by the Moskva river - there are fireworks being set off and rockets launching. The stage's layout is a Smashville equivalent. The only reference to Tetris' gameplay is that the moving platform resembles the Game Boy version of the I Tetromino

Galar Stadium

Galar Stadium is the equivalent to Pokémon Stadium, specifically Hazards Off Pokémon Stadium. It is scaled in a way that everyone appears giant - though this has no effect on gameplay. Occasionally Wailord; Rayquaza; or Ho-Oh can be seen flying by in the background - albeit smaller than usual to emphasise how big you are.

For my submissions, I’ll resubmit Courtyard
My Mortal Kombat stage is the courtyard. It’ll be completely flat and pretty much just look like an HD version of this.
And then I’ll submit Battle. But this time instead of being a battle from Earthbound I’ll make it a battle from the original NES Final Fantasy

You play on a completely flat area underneath the battle. The background essentially just plays clips of battles from final fantasy and random enemies from the game will appear once they’re defeated. The party will always recover its own health and so it’s impossible for them to die. The terrain in the back will change depending on which enemy and it’s even possible for them to fight bosses.
Attacks from the enemies or party will randomly affect gameplay in different ways. So for example an ice spell will put ice effects on one side of the screen and a fire spell will put fire on one side, etc.

I feel like this would be good because we have a lot of battle music tracks and just a lot of final fantasy music that doesn’t really fit with the gloomy aesthetic of midgar slums. It represents classic RPG’s and non-7 final fantasy pretty well too.

I’ll renominate Gold Saucer and 25m.
I’ll nominate Gold Saucer
View attachment 322565
I think would think of this map as a travelling map where you start at the hub room, and over time, the map moves to other areas of the saucer. Some areas that would be included are the chocobo race simulator, the snowboard minigame, the theatre, the haunted hotel, and the battle area.
I’ll nominate 25m from the arcade game since the Donkey Kong arcade game was highly influential, and 25m is the most recognizable area in the game. The layout would be the game’s stage, and as hazards, the fire balls would appear, and the retro DK would throw barrels that damage players who contact them.

I picked a mortal kombat stage as the 1st vote because i feel like it makes sense given we have two mk characters.

Submit a moveset for Vault Boy, Bowser or both. For both, all you have to submit are the specials and the final smash.

Bowser should be like his Ultimate self, except that with the Neutral Special, if you hold it, it will act the same, but if you tap it, you shoot out a straight-forward fireball. It hits harder than Mario’s fireball, but moves slower.

I may add a Vault Boy moveset to this in a bit.

Bowser

Bowser's gimmick is his aftertaste. When he hits with a fire-breath-based move some fire will remain in his mouth that will slightly strengthen his next fire breath move - however, the second blast of fire power does not give him an aftertaste and after that move is used there's a 12 second cooldown until he can get an aftertaste again, represented with a meter. If a move involves fire but not from the mouth, there's no aftertaste or use for aftertaste. Aftertaste cannot be stacked, but also doesn't expire. Aftertaste is not gained from failed hits, but is expired by them - however, the game does make exceptions for if he hits a stage hazard; item; AT; puppeteer fighter teammate; e.t.c. with his aftertaste - in which case it'll function as the move would with no aftertaste but also not taking away aftertaste.

Up B: Fire Propeller

Bowser propels himself with his fire breath like the above GIF, but vertically and as a blast of fire rather than a continuous blow - so not like the GIF at all really. Bowser himself does not hit, but the fire can spike. It doesn't go very far, but it's reliable enough. Aftertaste adds to the recovery distance.

Down B: Blue Bash

Bowser retracts into his shell and becomes blue - he then slams into the ground, once he lands the blue coating of his shell explodes and reveals the natural green within. A big blue explosion occurs with scutes coming every side - Bowser himself is actually the weak spot with the explosion being what he wants to hit with, though that's a little tricky with the very slight homing effect the move has. Only special with no aftertaste effects

B: Fire Ball/Bite

Bowser spurts a ball of fire from his mouth - it goes very far and is quite slow, but isn't that strong.

Side B: Flamethrower

Functions as it does in our world. Aftertaste increases range and makes it slower to run out.

Final Smash: Clown Colossus

Bowser hops in his clown car and flees off-stage - the stone clown car planet from Paper Mario rises the stage up into space as the camera zooms out, not catching up with the planet so the fighters can have a relatively seamless stage transformation. Now in control of a Koopaling airship, you can mess with the stage by moving it with the left stick and tilting it with the right. Stars; black holes; meteors; and supernovas appear for the fighters to avoid and you to lure them into. It should be noted the stage itself isn't carried by the Colossus, it's more of a very small Omega with only elements from the stage ripped off of it (so for example Green Hill might have a loop extracted, a capsized boat from N. Sanity Beach could be further stranded, or Kraid may be left homeless from the destruction of Brinstar Depths)

I think I may have put too much work into this one.

Bowser

Neutral Special: Fire Breath: Same as it is in our universe

Up Special: Whirling Fortress: Same as it is in our universe

Down Special: Bowser Bomb: Same as it is in our universe

Side Special: Bowser Hammer: Bowser tosses a hammer with the Bowser's Kingdom logo on it forwards in an arc.

Final Smash: Fury Bowser: It works like how Giga-bowser does in our universe only He transforms into Fury Bowser instead

Vault Boy

Down Special: Power Armor Charge/Power Armor Summon: Vault Boy has a Power Armor meter, this is charged through down special, Using the attack again after the charge is at 100% causes Vault Boy to wear the power armor, making him a Super Heavyweight and also making him more powerful and changes an attack. While power armor is active it drains and once it gets to 0% the armor is disabled

Neutral Special: VATS: Vault Boy pulls out a 10mm pistol and also starts using his Pip-boy, All opponents now have a Hit percentage over their bodies that ranges from 0% to 100%, you can select which opponent to shoot at with the Left stick, Letting go of B causes Vault boy to fire at the target. The success in hitting the target changes depending on the hit chance. The bullet deals a good amount of damage

Side Special: Nuka Grenade/Pain Train: Without Power Armor, Vault Boy rolls a Nuka Grenade on the ground, once it explodes it poisons opponents. When Power Amor is equipped this attack becomes Pain Train, This is a powerful shoulder tackle with the Power Armor

Up Special: Nuka Cola Rocket/Jetpack: Without Power Armor Vault boy shakes a bottle of Nuka Cola and places it under him launching hum upwards With Power Armor vault boy gains access to a jetpack

Down Special: Gatling Laser: Vault Boy takes out a Gatling Laser which makes him really slow but he shoots a large amount of lasers.

Final Smash: Deathclaw Onslaught: A Deathclaw appears and charges forwards, it cuts to a cutscene where several more deathclaws appear and start attack those hit.

Here's my submission for Vault Boy's moveset. I tried to focus is more towards the cartoonish warfare side of things because it fits the character better, represents the unique style of fallout, and we already have so many more traditional gun wielding characters.

Neutral Special: Grenade Launcher
See the source image

He pulls out a grenade launcher and then shoots a grenade forward. It goes forward fairly far.

Side Special: Rocket Ride
See the source image

He jumps on a rocket which flies directly forward. It does a huge explosion after three seconds or coming into contact with an opponent.

Up Special: Tommy Gun
See the source image

He pulls out a tommy gun and points it directly upwards. He repeatedly shoots it upwards which causes him to float a bit upwards. It's not the best recovery option on it's own but it he can actually lead this into his side special, making it much more effective.

Down Special: Nuka Cola
He throws a bottle of Nuka Cola on the ground. The puddle of cola stays on the ground for five seconds and if people step on it they'll be stuck to the ground for a few seconds. Also the shatter of the bottle can do damage to opponents.

Final Smash: Nuke
He shoots a blast from a retro-looking gun forward. This leads into a cinematic where the opponent(s) are in a wasteland and get hit by a nuclear bomb. It then pans out to show the entire explosion.

Right now we’re voting on movesets for Vault Boy and Bowser. Also when you submit music tracks they can only be from companies already represented in this game so I’ll have to remove the FNF track and the playstation track.

One more thing is that we can’t really call it “Famicom Medley - Brawl” because this is supposed to take place in a universe separate from our own where smash was done differently, so a game called “Super Smash Bros Brawl” doesn’t exist.

I’m gonna start a new rule here: we can’t have more than 15 series per company that are represented with just profiles, music or smash run enemies. So for example if we had 15 series from nintendo that were only represented through music/enemies/profiles (which we do lol) then you can’t submit any more profiles, music and smash run enemies from new nintendo series.

You can still submit new assist trophies or characters from nintendo in this situation, and you can also submit characters and assist trophies that are from already represented nintendo series but you can’t submit profiles, smash run enemies and music tracks from new series.

We probably won’t have more than that for a lot of companies but I’m putting the rule in just in case, because I don’t want the amount of series that just have profiles or music only to get out of hand.

Since Tankman’s star fox music submission was made before I made this rule I’ll include it.

Also I’ll bump up the amount of music tracks for Mario and Sonic to 70, and 60 for everything else. Same with profiles.

We will use the Bowser moveset of Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario and my Vault Boy moveset. Now onto the next job:

The Vault will be added as a stage. Now onto the next job:

Job #120: Submit A Character Who Was In A Recent Game
So for this job I would like you to submit a character who appeared in a game from 2018 to now. This doesn’t have to be their debut. So pretty much any character is eligible just as long as they appeared in a game in that time frame. Remakes, ports and collections count as games, but fangames don’t.
Plesse submit the character, explain a bit about how they would fight, and why they should be in this game.

Fall Guy (Fall Guys)

Fall Guy from Fall Guys is Avatar Character from the game of same name. His purpose in his game is winning random minigame like Grabbing Tail, Obstacle Course, etc. His game was really popular before AMONG US stole it's spot. He is Bean-like Creature in Pink Outfit that can be Costumized in random ways.

His Fight Style would mix of Fall-Guys style and Smash Style, which he could summon random Obstacles like Swinging Mallets, SeeSaws or Fruit Cannons from his game. Also he could have 2 Gimmicks:
1. First Gimmick is actually Grabbing and Walking at the same time like Donkey Kong, but he can't throw and walk at the same time. Also, you can jump and Grab the enemy at the same time.
2. His second Gimmick is Unique, he has Fall Guys physics, which it can bounce off walls, trip or freefall without being damaged, instead he bounces like in Fall Guys, which if it Falls on someone, the enemy will get damage.

Anton and/or Annie (Antonball series)

Antonball is getting launched on Switch tomorrow so I've been in a bit of Anton fever, hence this submission. This is a submission where either character alone could work, as could one with the other as an echo fighter. I don't think their different frames would be too much of an issue given the playstyle I have in mind for them.

Anton Ball (red guy, looks a bit tengu-ey) is Boiler City's top exterminator and most avid consumer of "soft" drinks who, upon finding himself trapped in the sewers, uses his trusty Antonball to get out. Annie Bell (green girl, strong teeth) is one of Anton's mates, armed with nothing but an appetite for victory and her Punch Ball she takes on Brulo's mole-mashing contest tirelessly!

Anton/Annie would quite obviously be a zoner who plays with their balls - specifcally, their ball or balls (we'll decide how many at a time later) would be on display at all time unless it OOBs and the baller could drop traps to alter the ball's trajectory. This creates a hazardous environment for their enemies to traverse, though they aren't strong on their own and can have a bit of trouble retrieving a lost ball, so if you test it all and make Anton/Annie dysfunction, you'll be rewarded greatly.

When it comes to indie reps, I find it important to include more obscure characters - really, the likes of Shovel Knight and Frisk are part of the general gaming conciousness and their only distinguishing factor from a Mario or Franklin is their roots. Antonball isn't that popular and giving attention to a small game (and a niche one too, not a lot of games can say their inspiration was GBA remakes of 80s arcade games!) in such a major release is exactly what the rise of indie gaming should be building up to.

Also, funny.

Spyro

With the success of the Reignited Trilogy of 2018, there seems to be a resurgence in Spyro fans, we should burn while the fire is hot and add Spyro to the game, he would be lightweight and be capable of gliding and multible jumps, he would also take moves from Legend and Skylanders as well, overall an iconic character who recently had a rencence that shouldn't be overlooked.

Just so everyone knows, crossovers count for this job with the exception of smash bros for obvious reasons.

Anyways my submission will be Joker from Persona 5
A character from a super iconic series, joker would pretty much fight like he does in ultimate. Since he got into that game and was one of the few characters to do so I think he’s more than qualified to get into a game like this.

Top Bottom
