Smashes: Goomba attacks (They look pathetic)

Specials: Changes only hats and that's it.
Final Smash: Drops a huge Hat on stage, which it makes him too OP.

Stage: Goomba Floats

Everyone loves Poke Floats, however it wasn't brought back due to something something. Now, we can have it's spiritual successor with Goomba Floats. Except it's terrible. There is only one Goomba type that flies, it flies way too fast, there's no pattern it just spawns and goes wherever it wishes, if you're caught between two Goombas like the Joker and Roy will be (not apart of stage, used there for size reference) you're instant KO'd, The Goomba Eyebrows are not walk through they are solid (meaning you have to jump over it), and the Goombas and stage are huge making it hard to get any satisfying KO's (you have to rely on the Goomba flying away with the opponent or the Instant kill).

Stage: Crazy Cap Store.
It's a flat stage with an Omega Set up.

Goomba Hat Moves.

Special: Goomba throws it's hat like Mario throws Cappy. It spins briefly in place before returning.
Forward Special: Goomba does a short hop forward and slips upside down hitting you with it's hat
Down Special: Goomba pulls out a spear and spins it in front of him
Up Special: Goomba's hat in flates like a balloon (works similiar to Villagers Balloon Fight special)
Final Smash: a small Crazy Cap shop appears and Goomba stands in front of the mirror trying on over a dozen different hats. All opponents fall asleep waiting for it to do something.

So the stage is a random pile of goombas in a white void, and the goombas act as a “platform.” However, since they’re goombas you of course will constantly be flattening them and will fall through the stage. They don’t recover if flattened. If you’re playing as Hat Goomba or Piranha Plant they don’t get flattened though.

Let's get thread back on the road! Now I haven't counted the votes but I'm pretty sure I won.

Submit a CP5 candidate with their buildup and reveal trailer

What's a candidate's buildup? It's simply everything that occurs before their official reveal. Things like Nintendo/Sakurai/Whatever dropping hints, leaks springing up, etc. The more ways you can misdirect, the better! As an example of what I'm thinking of, here's my submission:


A few day's after Hat Goomba's release, Sakurai posts a tweet. It says that he has heard that many are disappointed in the new characters so far, but he's sure that they will love the last one. After all, it's the main character from a game that was so popular, nearly every Youtuber was let's-playing it. Toby Fox quote retweets it. The only thing he has to say is: "". A week or two goes by, when someone notices a 4chan leak from a few months ago. While it didn't name any names, it did say that the pass would include, "A brand new moveset rework of a classic character", "A character from a criminally under-repped franchise", "A character from a series intrinsically linked to the retro days of Nintendo", "A fascinating variant of a character everybody knows", and "a famous indie character" in that exact order. While people dismissed it at the time of it's posting, it seemed to line up with everything so far. Eventually, the day of the Sakurai Presents arrives. After the usual introductions, Sakurai says that the character is from a very ambitious game that aimed to show even your enemies have a mind of their own, before directing us to the reveal trailer...

It starts off dark. Mario is walking along a very dimly lit ledge. He seems to be trying to be unseen. The rain and thunder are pounding. Eventually, his foot slips. He falls straight down, screaming all the way. When he hits the ground, a sickening "CRUNCH" is heard as the screen cuts to black. However, it's not all over for the plumber. The black fades away to show Mario lying in a bed of yellow flowers. The scene is much brighter than before. Mario slowly opens his eyes and looks around to find...

Spoiler: Who could it be???

The Player (Hello Neighbor)
(I know he has a name but I think it's a lot funnier calling him the player from Hello Neighbor)
The camera pans out to show that the "flowers" Mario was lying in was actually a crushed tower of boxes and that both of them are in the front of The Neighbor's house. The Neighbor opens the front door and starts chasing Mario and The Player away. Fade to white as "SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE X HELLO NEIGHBOR" is shown.

CP 5 Candidate:

After few days of Hat Goomba's reveal, Sakurai posted a photo about his top secret. The tweet was saying: "I have a new announcement to tell you, so for those who wanted a really popular character, then it's in the box".
Every Smash fan and others, who don' have interest about Smash like MrBeast were trying to guess what character could be. People wanted Crash or Rayman, but it was different and something else than Crash or Rayman.

Scott the Woz quote retweets it. He only had to say this: "I believe that could be a another First Party character, so keep your eyes peeled ".
Later, there was a 4Chan leak, where it said that next character could be, you guessed it: "Another First-Party Character", second prompt was "Had relation to History of Nintendo" and last was "It's from unrepresented by Fighter franchise". While people was reading, they thought that it was ExciteBiker or something. Furthermore, people were explaining the Leak on Twitter, YouTube and other social media (even possibly TikTok).

Days have passed, Sakurai announced new "Sakurai Presents" presentation and after some days, the Presentation started to air. After usual introductions, Sakurai says that the character is from pre-2000's, which it meant 90's character or possibly 80's and then he said "Good luck watching the reveal, which is your gift from me" before showing the reveal trailer...

The Trailer starts with Mario, Link, Wario and ROB traversing through dark and abandoned Factory and they were looking at interior of it, which it looked very creepy. When ROB was looking, it switched to his POV, where he was waking along with gang and then, he was grabbed by Someone else from Shadows.
Whan Mario noticed that, he became more serious about his surroundings in the Dark Factory. When Wario found his Bull Cap that left, he was also kidnapped.
While Mario and Link were only ones who survived, they heard running sounds when someone was running on bridges, floor and even in vents.
When they came further until the End, Mario and Link saw ROB, Wario and others, who were kidnapped...

Spoiler: Who could it be...?

Then the camera pans on whole Room with kidnapped Fighters, notably the 1st Parties. Link was coming closer to the Shadow while Mario was warning him that it could Kidnap Link.
Link came closer to it and sheathed his Sword and he did a Slash, but then, the mysterious Controller clashed with his sword and Link hides his Sword and he came closer with one step.
Then the Shadow with Red rectangular eyes and Robotic ear-piercing voice that sometimes plays the Familiar Jingle came from dark Shadows while the path was surrounded with Boxes and Nintendo Consoles with addition of Lightining Thunder outside the factory.
The Entity was holding it's invitation to Smash while it switched during Red light flashing from eyes to it's Splash Card...
VIRTUAL BOY Becomes unforgotten!

It later showed his Unbalanced Gameplay and his Final Smash while his Stage was also showcased.
The Trailer fades to white with Logo:
SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE X VIRTUAL BOY!

In the Trailer stinger, Virtual Boy drops all trapped fighters on the ground, while Sun rises up and lightened whole Factory, revealing that Virtual boy kidnapped them and Everyone was suspicious mad on Virtual Boy that he was responsible for kidnapping fighters for his Revenge from being worst Console and then he apologized Everyone, ending this Trailer like always.

CP5 candidate:

After the reveal of Hat Goomba, no hints were given about the next fighter. Sakurai continued to post random screenshots on his Twitter account and Nintendo was quiet about the next reveal. Fans were left hopelessly speculating and theorizing about what could be next... until an Instagram post was made my NIntendo about an upcoming direct solely dedicated to BoTW 2. They promised that a "special surprise" would be waiting for them at the end of the video.

Of course, this led to rumors and claims that this would be a Smash reveal and our next character would be a Zelda character. Some were sceptical of this, as Nintendo was quite vague when talking about this surprise, others were hopeful, believing that we'd be getting the first Zelda newcomer since Brawl. What no-one could agree on was who the next character would be. Given the track record of this Fighters Pass, many believed it would be an underwhelming joke character. Tingle seemed like the most likely candidate, but some disagreed with this idea, given the character's own series of games and popularity in Japan, and threw in other suggestions like a fourth link, a Moblin, Navi, the shopkeeper from Link's Awakening, you get the idea.

Eventually, the direct finally came, but rather than watching the whole video to see BoTW 2 in its glory and get hyped for its release, fans just skipped to the part of the video where a new Smash character was revealed. Remember the announcement that an Arms characters would be coming to Smash and the screen showing multiple candidates? I say that because a similar screen appeared before the trailer, but with Zelda characters instead. Throwing fans off-guard was the fact that they were all popular picks like Midna and Impa. The brief glimmers of hope fans held onto quickly faded when Sakurai announced that "unfortunately", none of these characters were realisable, but he did have a more satisfying pick. This is when the trailer began.

Similar to how the Banjo reveal was a rehash of the K. Rool trailer, this was a rehash of the Hero's trailer. Everything until the scene where the corrupted Meta Knight flew at Link was the exact same as before. Rather than the Hero showing up, a new scene played where Meta Knight continued to fly towards Link, only to slip over. Link looked down to see a suspicious puddle of wine before looking up to see puppet Marth preparing to strike at him, only to be struck down by a mysterious figure. A heavenly light then beamed down onto the dark forest, as Link looked up again, revealing a legendary, mythical being...

Before fans had time to process what had just happened, the screen abruptly faded to white before showing this...
"SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE x PHILIPS CD-I"

An interview mentions the next fighting is no stranger to fighting tournaments and how his name is constantly brought up in requests.

Another comment from a developer talks about a hero that can call a cloud to ride on.

He has an unusual hairstyle that's all his own.
