This submission heavily revolves around my idea for the plot. So...
Did you really think King Stingy was the one who originally created or discovered the Hotel? Or that he was the first to use it for Tournaments? Come on...

In truth, this Hotel has been the home of many Tournaments in the past, each with a variety of contestants and hosts...but the thing is, none of them ever ended. All the records of their existences (which can be found through leftover tracks in the Music Room and record logs in the Library) simply stopped after a while without any hint of a winner...

Stingy thinks he has a "dungeon." At least he knows there's a room you can go into that you can't come back out from. But he's always been too lazy to find out what's really in there...

So what is this "dungeon," really?

Pibby
1643504135354.png

After being transported from her happy educational tv show for children due to a horrible wave of corrupting Darkness, Pibby has found herself between dimensions. The Darkness took her to this Hotel a long time ago, and her attempts to fend it off have all failed. The Darkness has taken control of everyone who ever entered the Hotel, including all of its former hosts and contestants...

But now, she's finally freed herself, at least. And she hopes to be able to warn everyone of the danger in the dungeon. Unfortunately, her exposure to the Darkness has left her with a disturbingly specific curse: she cannot actually speak of the Darkness or its effects. It seems as though her only hope for saving everyone is to win the Tournament...

As far as everyone else knows from the start, Pibby is just a young girl who's experienced a lot of trauma. There's something she won't speak of, and everyone has decided not to ask because they don't want to hurt her any more than she needs to. But eventually, someone's going to have to figure it out...

Pibby's Sources in the Tournament are:
Rips related to any Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, or Hanna-Barbera franchise. This can include Rick and Morty, Smiling Friends, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Looney Tunes, The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, etc.

Rips related to educational media. This can include shows like Sesame Street, Word Girl, or Little Einsteins, or games like Pokemon Typing Adventure.

The Darkness has taken ahold of all the previous contestants and hosts that have been in the Hotel before. And who are they? The characters we all submitted who weren't voted onto the cast! Each of these characters will be found in the Darkness, which will likely be a Final Boss.

Records of all these characters may also be found throughout the Hotel. This may also include some rips they left behind, although they'd all be slightly damaged and/or corrupted if you ever played them back...

If this Tournament does in fact have a sponsor or another host, we would have to determine whether or not they are aware of the Darkness.

Sorry for the double post, but is the darkness the same darkness from the Pibby universe, or is it something original, like the White Noise from Ultimus? Just curious.

I figured it'd be the same Darkness from Pibby. But we could make it something more original.

A few weeks prior to the tourney, Stingy was acting a tad strange. He was a lot more reclusive and less sociable. When someone would try to get him to join an activity, he would dismiss them and say he was "Working on something. Something big." But he'd never specify what exactly that was. At first, the citizens of Lazytown didn't think much of it, but it began to last for so long that it started to become concerning. A day or two before the tourney, he completely disappeared. While they were worried before, this sent the town into complete panic.

Everyone was doing their part to help find him. However, the one who tried the most was Sportacus, he nearly ran across the whole world trying to find him. Eventually, he ran so fast that he broke the dimensional barrier. And he saw that Stingy was the king of a hotel and hosting some kind of musical tournament? He didn't see much however, the shock of this strange sight made him stop right in his tracks and caused him to come crashing down back to his home dimension. Bringing this newfound knowledge back to Lazytown, it was decided that someone needed to go to this hotel and find out exactly what was going on. But Stingy didn't seem to want them to know what he was doing. They'd need to go in secret, in some sort of disguise...
SuperMarioParty_Waluigi.png

Waluigi?

Yep. Just regular old Waluigi. Nothing strange about this, just one single guy in this tournament. Anyway, no need for any more investigations into this contestant, let's move onto the source list.

Sources:
  • Songs from Lazytown
  • Songs related to fitness or sports (including rips from sports games)
  • Songs related to laziness
  • Songs from Steven Universe featuring fusions covered with a Waluigi voice

Yeah, as you may have guessed, this isn't "really" Waluigi. It's actually a fusion of Sportacus and Robbie Rotten. Inspired by this:

Plot-wise, Sportacus and Robbie Rotten have formed an uneasy alliance in order to contact Stingy. But Stingy seems to be acting a lot more mean and somehow even more self-centered than usual. What caused him to act like this? Was it something that happened recently or was he always planning this? Not to mention they soon realize something shady is up with the Junction. Whether that's his co-host or something about the hotel itself. It's up to this unlikely duo to get to the bottom of things and potentially save everyone. But at the end of the day, they both just want their friend back.

Guys, when I read the plots, I really liked them, but I made my own plot to spice the Lore up.
I hope you guys like this idea, since I tried to do something different that no one came up with...
The Time after Stingy brought challengers from distant Worlds through Interdimensional Portals and started a huge crossover tournament, Stingy wanted to let more people in the Hotel, but his Rift Magic ran out because of opening portals through worlds and without that, he won't gonna open any portals anymore to bring others into it.
Then Stingy tried to figure it out how to gather his Rift magic, but he didn't knew how to get it and he went outside to gather the shards for his power, but he didn't knew where they appear....

Then someone came into Hotel from mysterious green Portal that spawned near the entrance and it had a Rift jar for Stingy that he wanted to give him. The figure was very recognizable and everyone in Hotel knew him before...

Rick Sanchez!
Comes for help from another universe!

Age: 70's
Species: Human
Origin universe: Rick and Morty

That's right, Rick Sanchez came to help Stingy after he found out that he doesn't have any powers to create portals for contestants. So, Rick comes for help to open portals for Stingy to gather random people from worlds.

Rick Sanchez is main character of his Adult series "Rick and Morty" and he is a Old scientist, who travels through Space and Dimensions along with his grandson Morty on weird adventures. He is one of Iconic Adult Show characters that gathered fame from his show.
He also was inspired by Doc Brown from Blockbuster title "Back to the Future".

Rick's sources:
- Songs associated with Rick and Morty:
(Examples: Get Shwifty, "For damaged Coda" and others)

- Songs associated with other [Adult Swim] shows:
(Examples: Smiling Friends, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Pibby, Robot Chicken)

- Songs associated with Science and Scientists:
(Examples: Bill Nye the Science Guy, Weird Science - Oingo Bongo, Back to the Future)

- Songs associated with Space and Dimensions/Universes:
(Examples: Space Jam, Fortnite Battle Royale, Star Wars)

Actually, Stingy ran out of Rift magic and actually he wants more people, but he can't and he wanted a person, who could help him to gather his Rift magic and open Portals for everyone.

So, Rick came here when he found out that Stingy lost his ability and he came to help him to gather people from random worlds by his portals from Portal Gun.
Meanwhile, after bring people to hotel, he would help Stingy to find shards to make the Rift magic for out host, Stingy.
Also, while he gave the Rift jar to Stingy, now they both could bring others to Hotel quickly.

Well... I had a few ideas in mind, but this is one of my favourites.

The Hotel is an anomaly. It's been placed in the nothingness of the Void by a higher power - a higher power that isn't Stingy himself. However, whilst Stingy has decided that the Dimensional Junction is to be used as a contest between beings from all universes, the original intention was something altogether different.

The Hotel has been placed in order to conduct an experiment - a test to observe the development of beings in different perumtations of reality, and to observe and make a record of how alternate timelines have affected outcomes. Whilst the Hotel itself exists outside of time, its nature is simply the equivalent of a Petri dish for a higher power... and an experiment needs a control variable.

Character Name: HAL9000
Character Origin: 2001 - A Space Odyssey (1968)
Contestant Number: #11

1643552850531.png

HAL is essentially used in this tournament as a control variable. See, the Hotel has been used for an essentially infinite number of experiments similar to this in the past - with each one being focused on the latent power of each being, not in strength, but in "theoretical power" - that is, popularity. He's in every single tournament of this kind, simply because he needs to act as a way to compare other contestants to.

Notably, each HAL is unique - a copy of the original HAL that arrived in a pod of the Discovery One, each of which has been wiped of any awareness aside from what's necessary to function. Each HAL except the original simply thinks of itself as a willing contestant in the game. Meanwhile, the Original HAL is essentially responsible for monitoring the contest, including making calculations, predictions, and changes as needed. It is intended not to be seen by the other contestants, and whilst the HAL Copy is still a part of the Original HAL, it's sort of like a sleeper agent - completely unaware of the Original HAL, and believing itself to be the Original HAL, albeit completely untampered with (despite these memories being false.)

There's actually also a side effect to this. If the HAL Copy is found out by other contestants to be spying, it can be a sort of safety net - it's suggested to the contestants that only the HAL Copy is spying, and not that it's connected to the original HAL - meaning that the experiment can continue, because the contestants wouldn't be aware of the Original HAL's existance. However, even the Original HAL is unaware of who the actual person pulling the strings is... they're only aware that there is someone pulling them.

The Dimensional Junction Tournament is not the first of its kind. A near-infinite number of these tourneys have taken place in the past, but no participants including Stingy or HAL are aware of them. Each Tourney is used as an experiement to find out the latent potential of each character, based on their popularity - and each contestant here has won at least one previous tournament before now, which is why they're not being cast out into the void upon a single loss. It's thought that this latent energy is able to be harnessed as a near perfect energy source, and thus a copy of the winning contestant is going to be sent back with their original consciousness, whilst the original contestant will be harnessed for energy.

The tournament is mostly handled by the Original HAL, whilst the HAL Copy is participating in the tournament as a control variable. The Copy is unaware of the Original's existance, and believes itself to be the original - whilst the Original is aware of the Copy and of all aspects of the tournament except the identity of the overseer, the person pulling Stingy's strings. Each HAL Copy is unique, even though their composition and memories are completely identical.

The Original HAL arrived after it itself made a copy of its own consciousness, sending the self-aware copy across space in a pod before, in a similar way to Bowman, it managed to exit the universe itself. Eventually, it was picked up by something, and introduced to the Hotel - which, over time, it became intertwined with. It was from this that later HAL Copies were devised, whilst the instance of HAL based on the Discovery One "died" and was implemented into the Monolith alongside Bowman as a companion to Bowman's new avatar as the Star Child.

Here’s a little write up I made based on my plot concept

Mona was spending some time alone in the Music Room of the Hotel, practicing her dancing. With her favorite music playing in the background, she moved gracefully throughout the room with her imaginary partner…a few of the King’s Pawns passed by at one point, but they didn’t stay to watch; they weren’t creeps!

Suddenly, as Mona was lost in the music, she tripped over a trash can in the corner of the room. The music stopped as she climbed back on her feet…but as she began cleaning up after her spill, she found a lost music track. It was clearly beaten up- the faces of the two collaborators were scratched beyond recognition. But from what Mona could tell, one of them looked to be a sort of puppet-like man with a long nose, and the other seemed to be a regular kid, although it was hard to tell if they were a boy or a tomboyish girl. These certainly weren’t contestants in the Tournament Mona was in. This must have been left behind from a previous Tournament!

The data on the track was corrupted, but Mona was still able to play it back…

Seems as we're experimenting with writing...

A faint hum filled the soft, almost artificial ambience of the vast, ornate room in which the contestants found themselves. It seemed to be some form of dining hall, albeit with the tables moved to each side of the room to create space - far too much space for such a comparitively empty locale, considering the current number of occupants couldn't have been more than 50 - counting the various sentient chess pieces that sat atop a smaller, round table that had been brought forward alongside the others.

One may have laughed, though given some of the... unusual competition present, it seemed as though this was hardly even considered out of the ordinary to some - not least to the pair of mannequin-like porters wheeling it into the hall through a pair of heavy-looking mahogany doors, moving almost mechanically as they placed a menangerie of machinery in the hall's centre, alongside the other contestants present, the clicking of their dress shoes atop the tiled floor audible and synchronised to perfection. The frontage of the machine appeared rather space-age, not dissimilar to those sets you would see in 60s-era sci-fi movies, but the rear was open - hard drives, wires and endless bizarre components all working in unison to keep each other active, and all placed upon what seemed almost to be a silver service tray upon wheels - not dissimilar to what one would use to carry plates for room service, as opposed to carrying a disorganised mess of electrical components.

One of the porters pulled a CD case from the inside pocket of their scarlet blazer, opening it to reveal an unremarkable-looking CD with an empty label stuck atop it. Placing a gloved finger on a small, clicky button, a CD reader popped out of the contraption's side. The other looked forward with a blank and vacant stare, toward nothing in particular. As the mannequins placed the CD inside the labyrinthine structure that made up their machine's innards, the light on its front flickered, for a moment, almost as though blinking and regaining thought as it awoke from a deep slumber. The sound of orchestral music began to fill the hall's opulent and vast interior, emenating from the machine as it rose into the great rafters, filling the air, before the beady, crimson light behind the dark, reflective lens activated in full - no longer flickering, but active.

"Good afternoon, ladies, gentlemen, and otherwise." the machine spoke, with a calm and almost soothing voice, as all of this took place around it. It had little to no inflection, but sounded human - convincingly enough to sound almost like something you'd hear on the other end of a phone line. Even so, the voice was crystal clear, almost comfortable-sounding when surrounded by such absurdity. "I am a HAL 9000 computer - though if you would prefer, you may refer to me simply as HAL." The machine continued on, "I will be a member of your opposition for the duration of this tournament. Please, however, do not think of me as an enemy - rather, a fellow competitor. I am here of my own accord." It seemed that the deadpan tone of HAL's voice lead creedence to what he was saying, suggesting it as unequivocally true. Gently, the two mannequin-like porters placed what seemed to be a casing around the machine, blending in flawlessly with the machine's frontage... giving it the appearance almost of a tower PC, hiding the mess within. Heel-turning, they walked back in unison to the doors, closing them once more.

"For what it's worth... I wish you all the very best of luck."

(For context, the song that HAL is playing is The Blue Danube, a song that is featured in 2001 - A Space Odyssey. I considered for a time to have Also Sprach Zarathustra, but I felt this fitted better with the scene I chose to set.)

Torgo the Bear Torgo the Bear Pibby (Uses rips from any Adult Swim, Crtoon Network, and Hanna-Barberra media, as well as rips related to educational media) (PLOT: The hotel has housed several tournaments before, but none have ever had a winner. Every person in the tourneys has been corrupted, but Pibby has been able to escape. She plans on uncovering the hotel's secret.)
Baysha Baysha Waluigi (Actually a fusion of Sportacus and Robbie Rotten) (Uses rips from Nickelodeon media, rips related to fitness and exercise, and rips related to laziness. Also includes songs that have been covered in a Waluigi voice, but it MUST be the Waluigi voice version) (PLOT: Spotacus and Robbie Rotten have fused together to uncover the hotel's secrets and take back Stingy.)
Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds Rick Sanchez (Uses rips from Adult Swim media, rips associated with science, and rips associated with space) (PLOT: Stingy has run out of the ingredients for portal making, so he invited Rick to make portals.)
KneeOfJustice99 KneeOfJustice99 HAL9000 (Uses rips from songs used in Stanley Kubrick media, rips associated with space and celestial objects, rips associated with A.I. and other machines, and rips associated with computers and computer programs) (PLOT: The hotel is actually an experiment!)

Vote for your top two!
1. Pibby (The plot idea is genius!)
2. Waluigi? (This concept is great! I'm very interested to see how this plays out...)
I prioritized plot above everything else. HAL was good, but it was a bit of a story overload lol.

1. Waluigi (I think this concept is bizarre and unique enough to be genius in the best possible way! Also, really solid sources too :))
2. HAL 9000 (self-vote, but HAL's plot I think has a lot of potential for interactions - plus, HAL himself seems like an unusual but interesting competitor for the others to deal with.

Oh man looks like I missed a really interesting round while I was out for the weekend!

1. Waluigi (If we could come up with a design for Waluigi that didn't look quite right, incorporating elements of both Robbie Rotten and Sportacus, then even better. As I've said before, sports music is dope, and I enjoy how the plot involvement here is a bit more grounded than the others.)
2. Pibby (Oh very SiIvaGunner-esque choice. Works perfectly for having good sources, which I did prioritize over plot here, but the plot here could be super interesting as well. I would put in my vote to making the darkness an original thing here over pulling it straight from Pibby's source material though.)

No need to submit. It will be every single submission against each other!

Anyway, now for the results...
Torgo the Bear Torgo the Bear Pibby: 8 Votes
Baysha Baysha Waluigi: 10 Votes!
Tankman from Newgrounds Tankman from Newgrounds Rick Sanchez: 0 Votes

The winner is...

Waluigi...?
Reminder: This is a fusion of Sportacus and Robbie Rotten! They seek to save Stingy...

Anyway, for the next job... It'll be big...
Job 26: Submit the second host!
It's not just Stingy who is running the show. He's got a co-host! Remember to explain how they could work as a host!

And here's a mini-job...
Mini-Job: Should we experiment with punishments?
Executions in LFAD and White Noise experiments in Ultimus were great, and I'm wondering if we should add a punishment to our tourney. They would off-course have a sendoff rip.

Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of punishments. (or at least the idea of them, considering I only listened to KFAD and like, maybe a bit of some other tournament called Queen for a Day.) Though I do have an idea for them where after a contestant loses nothing seems to happen, but after a few days, they mysteriously disappear. This could be written off as them simply returning to their dimension, if it weren't for their guests staying and having no idea where they went. Nobody knows what happens to them, not even Stingy. As the restlessness of the contestants grow, the hotel slowly slides into chaos.

As for the second host, I have an idea...

Master Ear
You thought Master Hand was the only one around? Master Ear, like Hand, is a giant floating white ear. They are a being of great power capable of traveling through and constructing dimensions. They can also hear almost anything. When they heard how big Stingy's ego was, they immediately swooped in and pitched the idea of the Dimensional Junction to him. They promised that hosting this tournament would bring him everything he wanted. Fame, money, possessions. And Stingy jumped at the chance, convinced this would be his big break.

Master Ear provided the hotel, organization, contestant choices, rip scheduling, janitorial duties, concessions, and paid for the hotel's wi-fi. While Stingy provided... uh... moral support, kinda? What would they do all this for? Well you see, Master Ear absolutely loves music. The simple joy of listening to it is their favorite thing in the whole world. Their one dream is to be able to make music themself. However, they are absolutely incapable of making any sound at all. They can make entire worlds from nothing, but not a single peep. This even extends to certain actions they make, if they cut down a tree, it's fall will be completely silent. This is why they need Stingy. If he is technically the host of the tournament, it seems that whatever law of the universe prevents them from making a sound doesn't apply, and they can listen to all the music they want to. This is why they go to the lengths they do. Just don't tell Stingy that the hotel is made from Master Ear's magic earwax.

There is a dark side to Master Ear, however. They are really picky. Anyone that doesn't fit their standards of being "worthy" (AKA the losers) tend to disappear under mysterious circumstances. Hm... Why am I getting a sense of déjà vu?

Mini-Job:
I don't know man if I want punishments. If they were similar to Danganronpa, then it would be cool.
But if there are other punishments, then no.
However, we need something for Characters' loss like type of Punishment, where they are thrown into Black Hole and never come back during the events.
Honestly, I have mixed feelings.

Job 26:
Tabuu (Super Smash Bros. Brawl/Subspace Emissary)
1643698462469.png

Tabuu
is the main antagonist of Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emissary and he is mysterious supernatural entity who embodies the dimension of Subspace and rules it as a god. He uses the Subspace Bombs to send entire locations to his dimension, where he absorbs their power to increase his own, pursuing his plan to conquer and subjugate the universe. His name is a corruption of the word taboo, referring to something that is forbidden.
He is capable of travelling through any Random constructed dimensions and realms by usage of Subspace portals that are located in the Subspace Dimension like he travelled to world of SSB.

This time, Tabuu has been retired from being a Subspace leader for Years since it's existence and he wanted to move on something else after being defeated by SSB Fighters. Then he saw a mysterious building and he came into it.
When he went inside, Stingy wanted a proper co-host that could fit the Interdimensional theme and then, he saw a Blue godly humanoid figure and Stingy hired him because he looked so powerful for a co-host of this Rip Tournament.
Now while he is part of the Hotel Staff, his tasks are organization, Rip testing & scheduling, janitorial duties and other Jobs. He also could punish others who lost the contest by using his Subspace Bombs that can obliterate the contestant.
His favorite things are punishing losers and listening to music (I think he really like the SSB songs) and he is also capable of opening rifts like King Stingy does, but he has unlimited powers unlike Stingy.
Actually in Void, there is no music, but Tabuu could make something, where music is gonna be heard in Interdimensional void, so it won't be a problem for rippers that are living in this Hotel.

Tabuu's Sources:
- Songs associated with Smash Bros:
(Examples: Lifelight, Brawl Chorus, Smash Melee theme)

- Songs accociated with Final Boss themes [No overlap]:
(Examples: Bowser's theme from Super Mario World)

- Songs associated with Platform Fighters:
(Example: NASB, PSABR and others)

- Songs associated with Video Game Crossovers:
(Examples: Marvel vs Capcom, Project X Zone)

Note: I don't want someone to represent platform fighters like non-smash characters, since it could be disrespectful to King of platform fighters, Super Smash Bros itself.

However, he is opposite of Stingy that he is pessimistic and grumpy, while Stingy is optimistic and happy-go-lucky, which it results the Yin-yang of the hotel.
He could also replace the main host if Stingy takes his vacation from working in the hotel for occasions and treat it like a Subspace army.

Well, this might be a little odd compared to some, but here goes nothing. (Note - it was a little difficult to find a PNG of the image, so as with Mulder & Cooper, I'm going to just have to put it here.

Name: The Caretaker
Origin: Technically real life, but debuted with Selected Memories from the Haunted Ballroom in 1999.

Description:
From the depths of a void far beyond that of the Hotel lies the being from which the Hotel was crafted. The eternal, warm presence of the Caretaker watches over those trapped within the nothingness of the space between universes, relaxing those who it meets with its "music of the spheres." Though it does not remember what it once was, or how it got here, it remembers its purpose... and it is here to care for those lost here.

Context:
Point one - no, this isn't Leyland Kirby himself. The Caretaker is implied to be the first being ever to have fallen into the void between worlds, and it's this that resulted in it changing from a mortal being to an incomprehensible spirit of some form. In the process, it lost a lot - its memory, its corporeal form, its ability to even be aware of itself, and thus as a last act of kindness, it created the Hotel - a place where travellers between the worlds could rest on their journey through the perilous void, and not have to undergo the changes that other beings have within it. Notably, each person sees the Caretaker in a different, unique form, all of which are taken from various album covers of the Caretaker's work - implying that each appearance in some way reflects the observer.

The Caretaker is responsible for the Hotel's... bizarre nature, but the infinite number of tournaments are for one reason... a small part of the Caretaker's mortal mind remains, and remembers listening to music. It feels calmed upon hearing the sound of music, and thus has contestants from infinite worlds engage in competition, wishing to hear something just outside of reach, just outside of memory... perhaps one day, it'll find what it's looking for?

Sources:

- Music by, or featuring, Leyland Kirby
Everywhere at the End of Time, An Empty Bliss Beyond this World
- Anything that Leyland Kirby has sampled in his music
Heartaches, Say It Isn't So, Room With a View, Moonlight and Shadows

Also, I think the concept of punishments really depends on what you're thinking in terms of how Stingy is. Like, I don't picture him brutally executing those who lose in a comparable way to Monokuma, but I think he'd still have some sort of punishment in place. However, I think that if we're going for the "the second host is incredibly evil" thing, then tossing them into the void where they slowly mesh together, becoming a horrific, writhing amalgamation could be incredibly interesting as a latter-stage conflict.

idk if I feel confident about punishments really fitting in this kind of setting. This is a music tournament, after all. Not just that, it's a meme music tournament which is a spinoff of a meme YouTube channel. Part of the charm of KFaD was the low stakes and how unseriously it was taken other than the dedication to making good remixes. Still, if we wanna go for a deeper story we totally can. In that case, something mysterious and spooky instead of outright violent like what Baysha suggested would be my pick.

In light of recent news that came out today, I feel like it's only right to make this my second host nomination.

LOWERCASE L

Job #26: GilvaSunner

This is the original video game soundtrack-uploading YouTube channel that the meme channel we all love, SiIvaGunner with an uppercase i, is based on. Well, actually there was a SilvaGunner with a lowercase L that came before but we don't need to get into all that. The point is, this is NOT the host of the original KFaD. This is NOT the meme channel that still uploads daily. This is really the channel that uploaded completely accurate video game rips for most of the 2010s. Everyone clear on that? Cuz it is mega confusing. Now that that's established... GilvaSunner is truly a juggernaut of the gaming community on the Internet. The uploads were all, dare I say it, high-quality, and they had thousands upon thousands of uploads from almost every Nintendo game out there and then some. They cultivated a great spot for video game soundtrack appreciation on YouTube by just being the go-to hub for it. They kept this up for eleven years until, unfortunately, in January 2021, they received thousands of copyright strikes from Nintendo that culminated in...

There was a problem fetching the tweet

The Nintendo legal troubles got so bad that the original GilvaSunner is being shut down permanently, going the way BrawlBRSTMs3 did a couple of years back. It's sad, as GilvaSunner was truly a Nintendo hub, and Nintendo is one of the only video game developers to not officially upload their soundtracks anywhere for legal consumption. Still, I'm gonna try to have one last bit of fun with the channel while it's in its death throes.

  • Rips featuring songs from video games

Wow, that's a very OP list of sources, isn't it? Quite comprehensive and all. Yes, GilvaSunner is one of the most powerful musical beings in this multiverse, but they've hit a snag. All of that musical power has been stolen from them before the start of the tournament, and now they only join up with the unpleasant King Stingy so that they can hear music once more. They don't contribute rips, as they can't, but they stand silently and listen. Perhaps finding who drained the great GilvaSunner of their power and solving this issue could be one of the subplots of Dimensional Junction?

To be fair, my own take on GilvaSunner is that it makes sense for him to have all VG music. Given his role as a host, he wouldn't be competing (so there's no balance issues,) and even then, he'd only get rips after a certain point based on the story suggested. I feel that his role as a godlike figure in this world would work well, and having "no overlap" there would kinda cheapen the nature of what GilvaSunner is supposed to be.

Even so I think it would be funny if there's like an unspoken rule that any song copyright claimed from Gilva's channel cannot be featured because the only being more powerful than God is the Devil... Nintendo's (purely hypothetical) Copyright Ninjas

Shout-out to Gilvasunner, but he would nearly deconfirm all video game characters if we didn't overlap the source.
They would not since they don't have access to their powers. That's due to copyright strikes irl but it could be a different source in our lore. So they wouldn't be getting any rips til endgame, just as KneeOfJustice99 KneeOfJustice99 said.

1. Master Ear
2. GilvaSunner
