Submit a franchise about racing, chasing, and/or speed!

We've done the juxtaposition with Batman, so how about some regular old pole position? Please submit a franchise that is about racing, chasing, and/or speed, and its first 3 characters! Please note that the speed should be part of the franchise's concept, not just a character - so I won't be allowing say, The Incredibles or Looney Tunes just because Dash or the Road Runner is fast (that being said, if you want to submit Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner as a seperate franchise from Looney Tunes you're welcome to - not sure if there's enough characters there to make a whole 3, let alone 6, but I welcome an attempt)

Please note that I will make Scooby-Doo items if they aren't submitted by the end of today.

Sonic the Hedgehog

A video game franchise that was made by SEGA and it stars Sonic the Hedgehog, the main protagonist of eponymous series. This franchise isn't afraid of crossovers, especially the racing ones (since he appeared in "Sonic and SEGA Allstars racing" games).
Sonic the Hedgehog is one very popular video game franchises of all time and it became a pop-culture phenomenon since the first game's release.

Since we have Mario franchise in this game, it would be cool to see Mario & Sonic together again in Drifting Dimensions.

There’s also a deceptive amount of material we could use from throughout the franchise - Hell, Pac-Man even got a full racing game in the form of World Rally (although non-Pac Namco characters probably wouldn’t be allowed in this scenario.

Initally, I was gonna resubmit Wacky Races but I feel two back-to-back Hanna-Barbera franchises would be a little overkill. Anyway, Speed Racer/Mach GoGoGo is an anime franchise that pretty much defined anime in the United States until the 90s. Since then, it spawned a franchise in America resulting in a live-action movie, an one-act play, toys, video games, etc. This franchise is kind of a big no-brainer to join a big crossover racing game as after all, the series is about auto racing.

Battle Mode: Marathon

Players race to checkpoints that one after another appear in a random place on the course. The team whose player is first to cross the final one (after about ten or so) wins. The difference is the randomness and more open-endedness, not to mention only one player on the team even has to race for the whole team to win. A couple players could choose not even to compete in the race and go for items to slow the other team instead. It would be a total blend between the race and battle modes.

Based on the in real life outdoor game, each team has a few flags on their side on the battle arena. The goal is to successfully capture as many flags from the opposing team's side and deliver it to your side safely without a member from the opposing team attacking you with an item to retrieve their team's flag back or run into you with a speed item. The team who captures the opposing team's flag first wins!
