You may be right about it being iconic, but it still wouldn't sell well as DLC. It could possibly work in a base-game roster, but not as DLC. The younger, casual audience probably don't know him that well. All I'm saying is don't get your hopes up for him being the SE rep. Sora or a Dragon Quest or another FF character seem much more likely, since they still have games coming out to this day

Is it possible that the stage+music is not tied to PP itself (what could they add in the way of a Mario stage or Mario music that they don't already have in the game besides a dedicated Bowser's Castle stage?) but is actually the rumored Minecraft content, in the form of a Minecraft stage and Minecraft music to accompany it?

I think they know just about as much about the DLC as we do. I'm taking this as Shantae disconfirmed

Chrono Trigger is more than you think.
Sora and Cloud maybe have more public than Crono.
But Crono has alot more chances than Geno, any Dragon Quest character, and any other Final Fantasy character.
Nostalgia? Crono wins no problem.

It's still just stickers that you can upgrade + event matches on on a map with occasional bosses, when they could have made, you know, an actual adventure mode. The whole spirits thing just sucks when they removed so much from previous games to make a mode with so much useless filler and Stats that gets boring fast.

Seems a little odd to just assume that, given how Nintendo recently said they plan to focus big time on DLC, and pshing DLC for this game for over 2 years seems likely. I doubt they will stop DLC till when the switch is near its end, because that will just keep making money

If you ask me, it looks better than the stuff they removed,
with characters actually being alluded and referenced to in matches looks super fun to me
