So we got a confirmation that Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane Trilogy will be seeing a Nintendo Switch version. Could that help Crash get a Smash Bros. appearance?

Also, the surprise Smash Bros. teaser at the end will have you wonder what else could pop up in the future.

If that was Breath of the Wild Link then this may be a new entry rather than a straight up port. Quite clever to make it so unclear wether It's a new game or port...

Also nice to confirm the Inklings, they where basically the single most agreed upon newcomers for the games, congrats to their supporters too.

Well actually my first thought was "They're porting the original Splatoon to Switch!?" XD

What the heck is happening.

I'm going on the Nintendo Switch subreddit to see if there are some interesting news and I see that there's a Nintendo Direct coming. In only a little more than ten minutes.

And at the end it confirms Smash for Switch.

To realize how surrealist this seems note I absolutely had no idea I'd post on this forum a little more than one hour ago.

At the end of the Direct I first thought "oh even more Splatoon 2?" Then I suspected Smash in complete disbelief, the graphics in the trailer seeming Smash-like somehow. And then it got confirmed.

I said I wasn't going to get a Switch in the first year, but now the idea of getting one is starting to get me interested, and not just for Smash.

But if there's one thing I'm sure about, it's that I'm not going to put as much passion in speculation about the new content of this Smash game as I did during the Smash 3DS/Wii U DLC era. I don't want to feel like MY vision of Smash is true and that Sakurai is shattering it again, I'm just going to enjoy whatever new character is added without dogmatism (although I'm not denying I'd have personal preferences and expectations).

Fortunately no, it is real. Smash for Switch 2018 confirmed with Inkling- wasn't clear on the new game/port or anything involving details.
