Personally, I think the reload mechanic is pretty underutilized.
Like Inkling's shield+b to reload ink was interesting and I wish they applied it to more characters like Cloud, and Pokemon Trainer which would've freed up a move-slot so they can do other things. In the case of Robin it could allow him to manually waste a tome to start the cooldown timer earlier.

My best guess is that it's for performance reasons. Having that feature does take up a small amount of hardware resources, and when Smash is trying to push an unfailing 60 FPS at 1080p, that might cause problems. Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and some other games have dynamic resolutions that allow them to tone things down to maintain stability, but that's obviously not what you want in Smash.
In regards to a certain leak. I'm sorry but I do not want Bethesda to be involved in any way. I do not want them to get any money at all after their scummy antics that's damaging the gaming industry, most of it regarding Fallout 76. They don't deserve it.

Okay but Bethesda isn’t nearly the worst company out there. Yes, Fallout 76 was terrible in concept and execution but they still release many good games. The newest Wolfenstein for example, and the next Doom looks great. Unless what they did for 76 becomes the norm like EA’s antics.

I didn't like them way before the Fallout 76 trainwreck. Aside from getting away with releasing incredibly buggy games for some reason, their parent company, ZeniMax, is a lawsuit hawk who takes people to court for using the word "Scrolls" or "Prey" as if those aren't common words.
Them threatening to sue a small time Kickstarter project titled "Prey for the Gods" was the final nail in the coffin for me. **** those guys. Obsidian did what they did better anyway.

Wait, there's a new leak with Bethesda? Is this one I'll like (Dovahkiin), or one I won't (Doomguy)?
This is one thing I can't stand though - Beth is known best for their immense single-player experiences. They had some success with ESO, so they thought they'd just redo the whole thing with Fallout 76 and it'd be great.
And it royally screwed up.
It's sad. Beth is one of my favorite companies since it's pretty much the only one that still remembers that some people like super in-depth single player games (that's why they announced TES6 already, despite it not going to be available for ages). But because Fallout 76 was such a royal ****up, people just want the company to collapse. I bet they'll end up rushing Elder Scrolls 6 for this, and that'll end up being bad.
Big rule for game companies: Stick to what you're best at. And don't try to incorporate EA's lootboxes.
See, this is why they need a character in Smash from one of their non-Fallouit series. Preferably their own homegrown series to try to reestablish loyalty.
I want to play Doom Eternal and TES6, don’t get me wrong. Bethesda is far from doomed, they just need to get up again.
But Activision hasn’t messed up in a notorious way this year, and even made good decissions (delay Spyro Reignited Trilogy to improve the game and give a better experience, for example).
To be honest, unlike Mass Effect, I don't really care about graphics in DA. DA has always looked like ****. I care about the expansive lore and dark fantasy world and entrenched politics and tragic themes and everything else the games do. If it looks pretty, fine whatever. I didn't come for that.
My worries with DA4 stem from the writers being new to the franchise, the original creators of the series no longer being at Bioware, and the news that EA wants DA4 to be a "persistent world", which, just... no. As long as they can produce a Dragon Age game I want to play, I'll give EA a pass. If they **** up Mass Effect and Dragon Age, I'm so done.
So has there been leak talk of a Bethesda Rep? I know Bethesda said they had conversations with Nintendo, and Sakurai praised the original Doom creator but anything else?
I really don't know what's up with the 30-second video feature but I'd bet it's related to it being too much for the Switch to leave the video stored alongside running the game. I know Fortnite had it earpy on but it ended up being disabled with later updates.
Conversely, the opposite could happen with Smash should they find a workaround.
I don't taunt after taking a stock, but I like starting with Palutena's "ready when you are". It's perfect for beginning of a match.
So what? Nobody would win the game and nothing would change. It doesn't effect anything.

Honestly, I don't really know much about the series. I got into it since I saw a friend playing Inquisition (what is it with me trying to get into series on the third installment?), so I've only gone from there. But I did have a lot of fun with it when I went through. I ended up playing a dwarf archer and I had entirely too much fun with it, even thought I'm usually not big on the third-person team up RPGs that it was. I just fell in love with the universe (and Thedas' dwarves are beyond awesome). Also it was fun to have a French-based fantasy world as opposed to the usual British-based one.
We'll see, though. Solas was a really interesting character, so I'm eager to see where they're taking his story.
But I'm still also hoping that Beth is gonna give TES6 all the time it needs. After all of the unrest in Tamriel before Skyrim, I want to know what's gonna happen...especially since I can't see the empire standing after the Civil War finishes either way, so I'm expecting the Thalmor are gonna have a huge part to play...

Inquisition is probably my least favorite of the three, but I'm weird. If you love DA's dwarven lore, definitely play the first game. You spend like a third of the whole goddamn game in Orzammar.
But yeah. David Gaider, the lead writer for all three games and five novel tie-ins left Bioware, and no one on the current head writing or development staff has been with the company prior to Inquisition, to my knowledge. They brought in an outside writer to develop the Tevinter lore since Gaider was leaving, which just sounds like it could be bad, and the new head writer hasn't sounded promising in his few public remarks so far. They seem to be leaning even further into the playful fantasy world that Inquisition pushed then Andromeda pushed further. And "persistent world" sounds like they're adopting a DA:I/ME:A "large map with nothing to do anywhere in it" formula and making it even worse. Ugh.
Despite all this, it could be great. I could be worrying too much about nothing. I'm just seeing the writing on the wall and... well, worrying.
