I respect Minecraft as a game, and I hate the "cringe culture" surrounding it. But my problem with Steve is that he's just a nothing character.

This may be an unpopular opinion of sorts, but I care more about what the characters actually are rather than just what they can do. Not saying a good moveset doesn't matter, but I'm less inclined to get on board with a character with their moveset is all they have to offer. Steve most certainly has moveset potential, no questions asked, but I can't bring myself to care about that if Steve himself is an emotionless blank slate.

Well, instead of Steve they could always go with Jesse, the protagonist of the Minecraft Telltale game instead. That's a Minecraft character with a personality, and they'd still be a "main character" in the series.

True, they do have "personalities" and while there may be some who would see them as a welcome addition. But is that series as popular with youth in Japan as it is in the West?

I meant "reported to the thread" as in it's some kind of actual news that they've been playing Smash

I'm reading through past pages and having a real good chuckle.

I want to leave but I can't let myself leave without making sure you know that this won't do anything, and he's been blocking "insects" for as long as I can care to remember.
A lot of people tweet to him in English over time in order to get "Block Achieved" status as a meme

I usually find it pretty funny but in the case of some of the people in this thread just finding out about him, it makes me a bit sad to see people get slapped like that (I do care for most of you even if a lot of you are uh... "silly".)

I'm not being biased either. I hung around Serebii Forums for a while before coming here and I did not enjoy myself. Everyone there was either smug or ridiculous.

I think that the idea of a third party rep having to come from a franchise with Switch entries is wrong.

Only the company who owns it needs to have at least one game on a Nintendo console.

For example, Gordon Freeman doesn't appear in any game released on a Nintendo console (correct me if i am wrong), but Portal had games on them (Bridge Constructor and LEGO Dimensions), making him able to appear in Smash like Joker.
