How to animate Steve in Smash Bros.:

Done.

Yes and those animations are still really stiff and would look out of place in a bad way next to other characters in smash. Notice how the limbs still don’t have articulation and are moving around on one joint.

Nintendo and/or Sakurai probably don’t even know who Steve is lol.

If they really want a Minecraft character then they’ll go the route of simply calling it an “Avatar”.

Sakurai is actually a big fan of Minecraft, and he probably makes sure to do his research...
I wouldn't be surprised if he knows that he has a name

I'm not paying attention to anyone's DLC predictions because this happened with Ultimate's base roster too. Everyone thought Rex, Spring Man, etc. were locks because it just made sense for them to be and there were leaks about them as well. Now with leaks about Erdrick, Steve, etc. everyone is convinced they're DLC.
Joker should've changed the prediction game but he didn't. Reggie's statements should've changed the prediction game but they didn't. Everyone is too afraid to not go with the safe picks.

Assuming (very easy assumption tbh) that spirits are on this list in the chronological order they were added, it's odd that Rayman was added way before the Rabbids were added. Same with Shovel/Shield Knight and King/Plague/Spectre Knight.

Not really. The articulation and joints could work well in Smash. It's likely something people will need to see themselves to get accustomed to.

It's either that or the Minecraft Story Mode approach, and Sakurai is going to be more faithful to the source material, and go with the Dungeons approach.

No, it isn't a real practice, and won't happen.

We're getting the five fighters on the Fighters Pass and maybe some more after that.

I mean, there's no reason they can't.

There is, and they're lovely things called time and budgets.

I’m sure Sakurai could figure out a way to make Steve animate well, but as of now I’m not seeing it. You can’t deny that even the Dungeons animations are pretty stiff compared to most smash characters.

And the worst part is that unless Ultimate gets more support in the future, I can't see Sakurai getting over his own stipulations to add Rex beyond the Fighter's Pass, Mii costume or not.

Steve is a divisive pick. He's considered a safe choice because of the "Expectations vs. Reality" nature of the character.

Tales of Vesperia is one of my all time favorite JRPGs. It's getting a re-release on Switch and other platforms in January, would heavily recommend it if you like RPGs with sollid battle systems and good characters.

That said, I wouldn't bank on a Tales character being Yuri, unfortunately. I'm pretty sure anyone familiar with the franchise knows who it'd realistically be.

Speaking about the franchise as a whole, Symphonia is still the most iconic (especially to Nintendo fans). If Tales of is getting Smash content, it'll be Llyod.
