After watching more footage of Ultimate, Ridley is back as being the newcomer I'm most hyped for. It's weird how much we take Ridley being in for granted now considering he was nothing but a pipe dream about 6 months ago lol

I feel the same way about my main, but jeez, do we need actual rep. Fatality pretty much maining him with should be something good, and Salem too. I know some more players who appear promising, but I don't want him to have a huge lack of results again.

Oh, I meant more specific stuff, like the actual gameplay, game mechanics and such. Otherwise, I've aware of its treatment.

Oh, kind of like Earthbound but the combat involves you dodging moving attacks rather than standard RPG stuff. I’d go in knowing as little about it as possible, if youre interested.

I think i’d Be more satisfied with a Sans boss then a playable Sans.

Imagine if the DLC character franchises got new spirits, and a new path in World of Light was added with those characters on it. And Sans was a boss on that path. You could even still get some Undertale tracks out of this arangement.

Just got stomped three times online. Approaching Zelda is a pain.

Matchmaking is definitely better. All three matches were 100% what I wanted, so that's nice.

Around 75 people attended.

I won 5 matches, and the only one I lost was in Grand Finals. I made it to 2nd place and won the Smash Pro Controller.

I want to get better, and win next time to make my friends more proud. I did my best, and it wasn't good enough, so I want to make my best even better.

Just thought maybe some of you guys who are my pals specifically would like to know.

Incineroar is a really good Bowser counter, turns out.
Bowser's my permanent main, so I refused to stop playing him even in the final match.

Use Side-B on Bowser with Incineroar and you win haha.

Gonna learn even more and come back harder in the Spring.

Second place for your first tourney isn't amything to scoff at, you should ne proud of yourself.

Really hope I can find some sort of tournaments around here eventually since I never managed to participate in one. Maybe my college will have some next year but I don't know how popular the Switch is around here.

I mean, I couldn't see Bayonetta without being violent as well, she literally has Torture Attacks in her games. Violent characters are allowed in Smash Bros, Bayonetta and Joker have shown that.

Pretty much why I think just about anyone is fair game at this point. Anyone who's actually played Bayonetta knows how absolutely brutal the game can be at times, and Bayo herself was represented perfectly with a great balance of brutality.

I still think Joker is a perfect Smash-feeling fighter though. He came from a game with a lot of violence but not a lot of brutality, a game that's only really M-rated because of the dialogue and a literal penis-shaped persona. Everything else about him is great, from the Phantom Thieves specializing in stealth, to all the weapons that are featured in the game, to the entire idea behind actual personas.

I sometimes think about things so deeply and ask for other's opinions, and then all I got was: "It's not that deep lol"

Those two who are in a little argument right now? At least appreciate that you get such detailed responses. That's something you can both appreciate about the other, right?

I don't know who the person behind the screen really is, for all I know they could be actively contributing to a huge movement that I believe in or literally shaving years off of their own life just to help others in need. I just try to approach their ideas and respectfully explain to them why I disagree with them and why I believe in my own ideas.

I think the least you can do for people you've never met is give them your time. It's something we all have too much of and it's not that hard to just put a LITTLE more effort into your responses, even if for nothing more than out of respect.

The tone of your original post came off as hostile to me, and I hastily responded in kind to that; my apologies for escalating the situation and coming off as hostile myself.

You do make some good points, though I believe Solaire falls into the complicated realm of "teh licensing issues!" that Sora and Erdrick have to deal with constantly given that he is between two companies. I'll agree to disagree with you.

Completely different discussion, but I truly do believe that Sora wouldn't have any real licensing issues if it weren't for Nintendo actively working with Universal Studios. I think Disney would jump at any opportunity to gain exposure for a game that's been heavily in the works for the last decade that's got a pretty bad reputation behind it before it's even released solely because of the poor decisions Nomura has made since it was officially announced. Plus, when has Disney ever been known to turn down a quick buck?

Otherwise, I fully do agree with you. Solaire would, at the very least, have similar licensing issues to Erdrick. Crossovers involving two companies are hard enough, any more and it just turns into a nightmare. Either way, I appreciate your responses greatly and apologize fully for coming off as hostile. I wish there was any tournament scene around where I live. Out of the two cities near me that have a scene, one is a 2-hour drive both ways, and the other is only a 40 minute drive but I also ****ing hate going there, so I'm pretty much doomed to be an online warrior.

It was a school tournament (our very first) so no stream, BUT....I do want to actually start driving out with my buddies to actual tournaments...so I'll keep you posted TPC!!!

That's a good point to make, but I think the main severity of that kind of situation may be a little different. Reggie talked about past collaborations with Koei Tecmo and specific franchises being available for why MUA 3 ended up becoming a Switch exclusive. It may have not had a TON to do specifically with Nintendo and Disney working together, perhaps just Nintendo and Marvel, Marvel and Koei Tecmo, etc. I could be wrong though.

Plus, even though Marvel is as big as it is, it's not big because of video games. Kingdom Hearts is, it's known as a bona fide video game franchise and maybe Disney doesn't want Nintendo, one of the big 3 gaming companies who works directly with one of their biggest competitors, getting their hands on their biggest gaming IP. As I said though I could be wrong, maybe Square really is evil or Sakurai doesn't wanna put Sora in. We'll never know until we do.
