The new Capcom character will be Phoenix Wright piggybacking Dante while riding on Amaterasu, with Morrigan holding onto Frank West, constantly orbiting their heads, and they're all holding weapons from Monster Hunter.

Done.

The perfect character.

Keep in mind that Phil Spencer doesn't decide who gets in Smash. If Nintendo wants someone else from Microsoft, it'll be their decision to make.

But that's the weird thing about the Fighters Pass, isn't it? We can't really speculate based on past experience because Nintendo never really forced anything into Smash. We've always been able to go "What would Sakurai do?" But now we're completely in the dark.

Great: I'm really hoping for a new game to join my all-time favourites list, as most of that list is stuff I first played when I was like 10 (ah, nostaliga)

Unless online mode is somehow a complete disaster in practice (it shouldn't be), I really don't see how they could screw it up at this point.

But this would beg the question, if Geno isn't a Spirit, then what exactly is he? We saw him in the Nov. 1st Direct. He certainly wasn't a character there.
If he isn't a Spirit, what was he?

I agree he's a great character, but if I want someone in a fighting game I'll take the bad *** hunter of giant monsters over some guy who points and slams his hands a lot in his game.

One was in a renowned fighting game as a character who was highly requested and had a hilarious moveset that could allow him to turn the tables and topple even the mightiest of foes, and was sorely missed in that game's successor.

The other was in said sequel which is quite looked down these days. My condolences to Monster Hunter, but it's Phoenix's turn to return for more fights.

It's the Wright timeline we're in after all.
