Can we all agree though that if Capcom gets a DLC rep it should and needs to be Monster Hunter.

Give me more classic modes with a Rathalos boss fight.

Do all the returning fighters have the same ''Reunited Roster" classic mode as Wolf?

Probably not. I imagine they'd want to keep every character's classic mode theme unique to them for variety's sake.

Alright everyone rest easy, I just got off the phone with Sakurai himself, here is the definite DLC list.

No but I do think these are the most likely:

Geno: that icon was suspicious, he hasn’t shown up as a spirit yet, nor has his Mii costume. Those recent developments on top of all the other reasons for Geno (Sakurai article, costume, popularity) says he’s probably in.
Monster Hunter: They have a boss in the game, and it’s just an easy, popular, relevant choice.
Lloyd: I personally know nothing about this character but after Isaac bit the dust, he makes the most sense. (Costume, popularity, no spirit yet)
ZELDA CHARACTER, not sure who. If I had to guess: King of Hyrule. It’s just odd enough to be real.
Microsoft rep: Probably Steve but c’mon Banjo, get there.

The game will be datamined for sure, like Pokemon Let's Go, we'll see if they find something about the DLC. I think that there's a high chance about it, as always. Folders, icons, references, code... It may be difficult doing a proper cleaning in such huge game.

I can relate about the backlog. I have lots of stuff lined up to play, and yet I sit here playing Smash on my 3DS and replaying Kirby: Star Allies Guest Star mode over and over, lol.

You gotta play what you wanna play! I've been on Gears 4 again since getting back from vacation despite Assassin's Creed Odyssey sitting right there in front of me half finished. It's a great game. I'm just not in the mood again yet.

If wanting characters was a competition
then me, @Zinith, and @Sniper_Fox would win those competitions by default.

Considering the fact Echoes supposedly share a Classic Mode, I wouldn't put it past them if Yink, IC, Pichu, Wolf, Snake and Pkmn Trainer all share a Classic Mode.

Graizen wins hands-down. The only thing they ever talk about is Agumon and honestly it's nice to see someone who still has hope in their most wanted character.

I agree he's a great character, but if I want someone in a fighting game I'll take the bad *** hunter of giant monsters over some guy who points and slams his hands a lot in his game.

Technically, if you always think Geno is a lock and that he’s right around the corner, you can’t be dissapointed because you’ll always know he’s coming no matter who else gets in or if DLC has ended.

Pretty dang awesome. It's gonna come down to Ultimate VS. Octo Expansion for my personal game of the year, and I have a feeling I won't be able to choose.

I don't think echoes sharing a classic mode means much, they all share roster numbers and the entire point of them is that they're incredibly low effort. Pokemon Trainer would have to share a classic mode with his three Pokemon though, since they're all tied together.

I really don't trust Hitagi. I still honestly think that Banjo would be the Microsoft character if there even is one. It's the only one Phil Spencer has ever mentioned when talking about Smash.

Keep in mind that Phil Spencer doesn't decide who gets in Smash. If Nintendo wants someone else from Microsoft, it'll be their decision to make.

We don't know yet. The only classic modes we've seen footage of (to my knowledge) are .
They probably won't, but we don't know for sure.
