Sylux - People in Japan might not be huge fans but they're probably getting Katalina so it doesn't matter. I think it's the most likely since Nintendo will really want to push Metroid Prime's return hard and it is probably the game that could use the promotion the most.

Would people in West be huge fans? Last time I checked Sylux didn't had any fan demand whatsoever except "he'll be important in the next game"/"if we can't get Ridley, give us Sylux".

It REALLY depends how Sylux is handled in Prime 4 imo but the franchise is more popular in the west so we dunno just yet

So Nintendo's big releases next year are Metroid Prime 4, Luigi's Mansion 3, FE: Three Houses, Animal Crossing and Gen 8 Pokemon.

Let's say that each of the DLC packs are for those games: Outside of Gen 8 Pokemon which we only know two Pokemon of, What characters do you think they'd add?

Metroid: Sylux has been hinted to play a part in MP4 but any of the hunters from MPH or MP3 could work.
Luigi's Mansion: Well Piranha plant's in so King Boo doesn't seem a little odd any more.
FE: 3 Houses: The question here is Lord or Tactician? My money's on Edlegarde but I could be wrong.
Animal Crossing: Given Chrom showed us that characters can be tied to Final Smashes and still be playable, Tom Nook with a Capitalism based moveset could work well. (His pummel is shaking them down for bells.)

Three Houses and MP4 are the only games I could see getting a newcomer, and I'm not really sure how likely either would be given that Gen VIII would likely be prioritized over both games. We only have five spots to give up.

Wouldn't mind getting Sylux or another Metroid rep though. Depending on how hard MP4 gets pushed in the West, I could see us getting a promotional character (much to Japan's annoyance, I'm sure.)

There's a difference being "cartoony and acceptable" and "so far into the uncanny valley that you want out". Realistic!Eggman was scary for all the wrong reasons.

If by any chance we're going to REEEEEEEEEE, it's only fair that the source country does so as well. Turnabout is fair play.

Also, as far as him being compared to Boba Fett goes, "I hate that bounty hunter and her little federation too!" is a better motive than "I like money", if you ask me.

I wouldn't be opposed to Mother Brain, Trace or Kanden, either.

Sonic is a hedgehog but in his universe's context, he's more like an alien, rather than an animal. He has same cognitive abilities as humans. If there was any problem with the scene, it was either art style clash, Sonic being unconscious or forced romance. Not bestiality.
