Don't forget that Green and Blue's names got switched in the transition to the West.

If they were colour-coding, it should be: Red - Charizard, Green... Blue... Gary - Venusaur, The Girl - Blastoise

It might actually be a reference to Pokémon SPECIAL, where Red and Green (Blue/Gary) had the opposite starter until they traded them.

God I hate discussing Green and Blue.

A couple things to mention about leaks this time around and the people leaking them.

From what I've been told, and I trust my friends quite a bit, Vergeben has never been the person who originally has had his information. He is simply the person who decides to share it. Vergeben has also historically jumped onto stuff so that he can add to his own legitimacy, even if he hasn't actually heard of it.

Furthermore, Ken and Incineroar were known by a LOT of people. It's not like the only person who knew about it was Vergeben. It was considered common knowledge among people who knew, not to make it seem like you guys are "nobodies" or anything like that, but simply that people with connections knew about them being in, which then led to the whole Grinch debacle.

Basically, while I don't doubt Hitagi all that much based on their credibility with other rumors, they seem to be dumping a lot of vague information. It can be taken as either protecting their sources (makes sense if it's real) or purposely sounding vague so that there's better chances of being correct (makes sense if it's a lie). Either way, I'd wait before jumping on the "Steve, Granblue, Namco" train.

MysticDistance mentioned Lloyd, and that's something I'm really interested in (Tales of Symphonia is a fantastic game). That corroborates a Namco character, but anybody could corroborate that. It's the specifics that are more important.

I know some people are extremely skeptical of "insiders". But I would wait until more insiders say "Steve, Granblue, Namco hype train" before we take it as gospel. I say this because at this point, Verg could say, "Well, they seemed credible, but I was never told by my own sources that Steve was playable".

Believe what you want, but it's always good to question things to your own satisfaction!

Agreed, even with the most credible leaker we should be careful to not turn leaks into hard facts.

I think a second Bandai Namco rep and a second Square Enix rep make a lot of sense due to that would officially be all of the 3rd parties each having two reps. That being said, Nintendo is in charge this time around. Its a real possibility we may only get one more 3rd party rep. As of right now, its very hard to predict how events will play out.

This is 100% Gen 8, you can't argue with that when moves got updated. So yeah, Meltan and Melmetal are Gen 8 confirmed
Also, thank god for Solar Beam and Sky Attack buff, those were completely useless before. Hope Solar Blade gets a buff so maybe Lurantis will have a gimmick as a powerful nuker

Agree, its very likely Edelgard or someone from Three Houses is happening. So many big Youtube insiders are all predicting it will happen, and it makes sense if you think about Corrin in Smash Wii U.

Thats a lot of what ifs, we don't know for sure. Its just as possible they do want a second rep. Bandai Namco has been teaming up with other companies a lot lately, Noctis in Tekken, 2B in Soul Calibur, Geese in Tekken, Akuma in Tekken and Geralt in Soul Calibur. This is most likely to increase partnership with other companies and provide more exposure to their characters. If we follow this pattern of providing exposure to their characters then its very likely they will want a second rep.

You got some good points there, but they don’t seem like they really need to add exposure to their characters by using Smash (Namco has many of their series represented stuffingly from Pac-Man to Dig Dug), but it would definitely give a special enough series a massive upgrade

34 Speed yet his signature move causing flinch makes me feel like they were really trying to make people go with Trick Room setups. He looks decently tanky though? At least with physical like you mentioned, special looking kinda weak.

Also yeah, Iron fist is real boring. Would prefer he had a unique ability or something.

Mega Man has up tilt, down tilt, fair, bair, dash attack, and grab. He at least has some options, but yeah, Bucket shuts down most of his good options. That's silly.

If Nintendo isn't going to say who's in the DLC, then I actually hope for a datamine. Mainly because I would like to know what I'm buying in the Season Pass rather than go full Peter and buy a Mystery box. Yes I know revealing them straight away would ruin the surprise but it makes more sense to let consumers know what they're getting rather than not telling them.
