Depends, it can be difficult to catch lightning in a bottle the second time. What happened once might not be pulled off well afterwards (especially given that semi-known JP-centered IPs either got the AT treatment, turned into a Mii costume or spirit, yet you're suddenly expected to care about the latest one).

And if it's not pulled off well, hey, it'll make for an interesting anecdote, at least.

If any of this comes to pass, that is. Purely hypothetical talk.

That's actually a valid concern, given that they had to censor Palutena and Bayonetta. If 2B were added, they'd have to give her some pants.

At least I wouldn't need to worry about that in regards to DQ's Jessica, her extra outfits have already been censored...

I'm sure there are more, but this is what I came up with for Ashley.

+Not an icon, but popular. Especially in Japan.
+Nintendo seemed to be pushing her a bit on the 3ds.
+By far the most the most popular Warioware character aside from the fat man himself.
+She could bring a unique moveset to the game.

-Even though she's popular, she's still rather niche.
-She's not being pushed nearly as hard as characters like Isabelle.
-Sakurai might not think Wario needs anpther rep.
-It's almost impossible to try and get other people on board with Ashley, because you can only like a young character if you're a pedo apparently.
-She's just not important enough.

You wanna know where Dragon Ball is most popular? Latin America. When the finale of Dragon Ball Super was happening earlier this year, countries all over Latin America were organizing public streams of the episode with thousands of people attending. Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil, etc.

The Mexican government was actually sent a letter from the Japanese embassy in Mexico requesting that they suspend any illegal viewings of the episode. Yes, anime literally became a subject of international politics.

EDIT: For example, here's an event in Ecuador with over 10,000 people gathered in the streets to watch it. That's almost twice as many people as there are living in town I grew up in. Other showings in other parts of Latin America also reportedly had over 20,000 people in one place.

Nintendo hasn’t given a **** about Golden Sun in forever. I can’t think of why Isaac would be likely other than fan demand. But clearly that was only good enough to get him back to his Brawl status.

You know Nintendo.... you could have another IP to sell if you gave Golden Sun another chance...
