Please stop the Spirits point oh my lordTrue but you get my point. He's not anywhere in the Direct. Not as a spirit (assuming Spirits deconfirm characters). Not as an AT. Nothing, even though he's one of the most requested characters in the poll.
"Bandana Dee can still be a spirit we haven't seen."
Maybe but it seems unlikely considering he's a really popular character and would have gotten revealed ASAP, especially when considering Sakurai doesn't view Spirits as deconfirms. He views them as having characters who aren't fighter participate in the match, like Assist Trophies.
From what I've read, 2ch is their 4chan (I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong).View attachment 175802

All you need to push those S&P feeling aside is to listen to a good amount of dialogue from the game between characters, listen to some of their best songs, and go through the personality of the character known as Pit as a way to bond with the illiterate fellowI want to love KI:U, I really do. I love the NES and Gameboy KIs. KI:U was just too familiar feeling to S&P, and I like those games so much more.
I'm fully aware I didn't give KI:U a fair shot, but I don't think I can separate it from my feelings of disappointment that S&P2 didn't lead to more.
More people need to be asking for Forrest Gump in the form of Omega Tom Hanks.
They want to play as a series? Why do people keep saying "Master Chef" when they so obviously mean HALO
Glad, since thanks to PP, the various Slime types can be shown off, and Rocket can make his big comeback in the West.what if dragon quests slime got in before geno or sora?
If you legitimately believe waddle dee is more popular than Ridley and King K Rool, then you just do you. I have nothing more to sayI don't think Ridley and K. Rool are as iconic as Waddle Dees are.
I bet people said the same thing aboutSlimes aren't as dope as an actual character playable protagonist.
Slime is so iconic in Japan, that if you were to ask anyone of any age over there to draw a slime, the one they'd draw 99.9% of the time would be the iconic tear-drop shaped Dragon Quest Slime, instead of some other random slime from pop culture. It's in a similar way to how everyone here knows about Mario, and Pikachu, but on a slightly lesser scale.I agree, but DQ also doesn't really have a single character as recognizable as Slime, at least globally. Erdrick would probably be more iconic to Japanese gamers, but he's more of a literal who globally. I'd assume they would go with Erdrick, but I can't rule out Slime these days.
Forest Gump wouldnt be a bad character.View attachment 175802

Slime is undoubtedly recognizable anywhere. As was the Moogle and Chocobo.
Also let's face it...dude doesn't have a PRACTICAL moveset he could use.
I don't really see it happening.
Why do people in the west want Merric, Star Butterfly, Agumon, and Boshi so bad?Man, I wish some Japanese guy found one of my Merric posts so they can say Merric is super popular and highly requested in the west.
His Final Smash would be opening a box of chocolates...WHY DO I WANT FORREST GUMP IN SMASH NOW? THANKS, JAPAN.
There are probably a lot more people that recognize Waddle Dees than Ridley and K Rool. To be fair, I'm sure there are a lot more people who recognize Piranha Plant than most of the other Smash newcomers too.If you legitimately believe waddle dee is more popular than Ridley and King K Rool, then you just do you. I have nothing more to say
oh yeah Wonder Red..forgot about him (would make for a good fighter, especially if he brings out the 101 crew)Guys! Guys! Guys........Wonder Red. The IP was just on our last system and its still remembered as one beast game. We all should consider pushing that game out there. We could get him as a dlc and even maybe get a new game down the road.
If you havent played the game and have a wii u still, consider playing it you wont be sorry.
K. Rool: Antagonist in like one game, most popular antagonist of DK, was irrelevant for a years until Smash Ultimate.Whoa there, partner. Not so sure about that
Metroidvania fans are crying tears of joy right now.Would it be safe to say that Castlevania and Metroid fans were the bigggest “winners” this cycle?
Woah. Hold up there buddy. I'm a major supporter of Bandana Dee and I do think he's a very likely character.I don't think Ridley and K. Rool are as iconic as Waddle Dees are.
I feel this on an everyday basis. Never instantly resonated with the energy of a post so quickly. It's true though.
It's entertaining watching all ya'll freak out over this game while I'm over here simply waiting for the game because I know it'll be great.
Okay, but hear me out:Why use the generic mook
When you can use the main protagonist?
It's like if Megaman were represented by a Metataur instead of Megaman. It's just wrong.
I mean, I see where he's coming from. The Waddle Dee enemy, itself, is very iconic, especially in Japan where there's tons of merch of it. I think that's what he was getting at, the species itself, rather than the specific character. If you legitimately believe waddle dee is more popular than Ridley and King K Rool, then you just do you. I have nothing more to say
Same here, but in my case, my pointless ramblings on this site, about Rottytops...Man, I wish some Japanese guy found one of my Merric posts so they can say Merric is super popular and highly requested in the west.
If you wanna make bold statements like these, you really have to do at least some research.K. Rool: Antagonist in like one game
K. RoolK. Rool: Antagonist in like one game, most popular antagonist of DK, was irrelevant for a years until Smash Ultimate.
K Rool was the antagonist in more than one game, but I see your point about Waddles Dees in general. They're like Toads of the Kirby series. I think more people know about K Rool and Ridley than Bandanna Waddle Dee though. And might even confuse him with a generic Dee - which was an arguement against him before PPK. Rool: Antagonist in like one game, most popular antagonist of DK, was irrelevant for a years until Smash Ultimate.
Ridley: Don't know much about Ridley other than he was a boss and a very important and popular character.
Waddle Dee: Appears in every Kirby game, has tons of merch dedicated to it, still relevant.
Which means Geno's likely for DLC. Along with Rayman. Simple. Please stop the Spirits point oh my lord
If this was the case Geno would've been emphasized more than he was as a 2 second hard-to-see profile icon
He may have not been an AT simply because it would've felt out of place. Even without that he may simply be in another faucet of the game. I don't get why he would be DLC and not Ridley or K. Rool.
I mean if we went by those standards we'd have every random mario enemy before we got Diddy Kong and King Dedede.I mean, I see where he's coming from. The Waddle Dee enemy, itself, is very iconic, especially in Japan where there's tons of merch of it. I think that's what he was getting at, the species itself, rather than the specific character.
I would say it's a bit of apples and oranges though, comparing a generic species to established boss characters.
Exactly, I'm a big Kirby fan and don't really care much for DK or Metroid, but even I can tell that Ridley and K.Rool are equivalent to Deedeedee if anythingMetroidvania fans are crying tears of joy right now.
Woah. Hold up there buddy. I'm a major supporter of Bandana Dee and I do think he's a very likely character.
But K. Rool and Ridley are more iconic than Waddle Dees.
I'll probably be a literal boomer before we get another Zelda newcomer.and maybe one of the Champions from BotW.
Ahem, You're forgetting about someone. Why do people in the west want Merric, Star Butterfly, Agumon, and Boshi so bad?
I think we could get slime, and I think it'd be better. It'd be in the same vein we got Pikachu way before we got Pokemon Trainer.Okay, but hear me out:
Slimes are cool.
Actually he was the antagonist in like... 5K. Rool: Antagonist in like one game,
Why would you want a Slime over someone like Erdrick or Eight? That doesn’t make any sense. What's wrong with slime? Slimes are dope af.
