Dixie Kong: 70%, she's popular, unique, and more Donkey Kong characters is never a bad thing. I wouldn't call her a guarentee like Bandana Waddle Dee (she's not quite that popular), but she has more than a fighting chance.
Edelgard: 25%, her game is coming out right around the time we will be seeing the first DLC character would realistically come out, so I think she's going to have a lot of request for the roster. Her chances are largely dependent on if she's well-liked in 3 Houses, how much Sakurai can do with an axe user, and if Fire Emblem fatigue will still be a thing in 2019.
Monster Hunter: 40%, I mean, there's already stuff from their series in the base game, so having the hunter in isn't too much of a stretch. Her main problem is large competition for that coveted 3rd/4th Capcom character, having to compete against characters like Jill Valentine and Mega Man X.
Skull Kid: 30%, he's gained a lot of popularity these past few months and Majora's Mask still seems to be cameoing in basically every Zelda game. Only issue is making a moveset that feels close to the source material while still being creative and in the spirit of the character.
Sylux: 2.5%, there's no way Metroid Prime 4 will be out before DLC has concluded and we've got both Ridley and Dark Samus, so demand for more Metroid characters in Smash has generally gone down since Smash for. I guess if there's another Metroid character it would be him, but I just don't see that happening.

Oi, mate. Olimar is a great guy, and Shulk introduced heaps of people to Xenoblade, kicking it into popularity. He's also a very unique fighter.
But do not talk poorly about Olimar, that's so disrespectful. He cares for his wife, his kid, his job. He's a hardworking man who succeeds in keeping calm even in the most drastic situations, when his life is on the line.

And besides, as I said, this is Smash Ultimate. It's the fanservice game. Ending it on a boring unique fighter seems too unlikely.

Still don't think this means they know what is DLC and what isn't. Insiders claimed ESRB was wrong for lacking Lucas and Mewtwo, when they were technically right about the characters and wrong about the timing.

Last revealed characters is what we’re focusing on. Olimar and Shulk definitely had their fans, but they do not compare to the reveals each cycle started out with, being Snake and Mega Man respectively.

Even if we were to delve in secret characters, unless you’re huge fans of Dr Mario and Dark Pit, Smash 4 ended lacklusterly too.

Smash doesn’t need to end on a “hype” note. This has been said again and again.

I still think all of the characters could somehow get in and that they just assume they're fake because they were never told about them, and were maybe shown something incomplete, but I don't know. If Ken is the same when revealed and Incineroar still has yet to get revealed, nor any character that's not in the leak, I'm assuming it's real.

Alright, I'm sorry, but this is all a bunch of BS. I'm willing to hear them out, except they're rehashing the same old BS speculation that we have for the past couple days. But what was really stupid:

Anybody who just brushes off this leak isn't actually following along with what we know about it. But what's really telling:

Flawed logic, assumes the banner is the full list of characters. If they had said a characters in the banner that's not in the game (they only speculate that, with outdated speculation), I would tend to believe them more. Not saying it's real--I think it's probable. But this is the dumbest way to say that it's fake.

I think it's important to point out that it makes no sense for insiders to lie or obfuscate.

One, they're not getting paid by Nintendo.

Two, if they know they're wrong, it's gonna come back to bite them. Nobody is going to forget it if they lie.

Three, what do they really stand to gain? Feeling superior for a week or two? Seems like a no-win game.

They could still be wrong, but if that's the case it's not intentionally so. Conspiracy theories are baseless and breed hostility, the reality is always far more boring.

Nate's point about Western stuff is stupid seeing how two western characters were added so far this game.

If I had to go along with this I'd probably say Geno and Isaac (and Ken, of course).

Though some people just can't see the game without Shadow so swap Geno with that and maybe.

I'm not exactly keen on this exactly, but I'm also not one to argue with people who are apparently somewhat in the know, so

My stance is still separate.

Just reading this **** fills me with anger so much, and the fact this is from "insider". Shouldn't say that comment anymore because it makes sounds like if you are from tumblr.

That was something commonly said in the K.Rool community before his reveal.

They thought he wouldn't happen due to racism from Japanese developers.

Alright, I'm sorry, but this is all a bunch of BS. I'm willing to hear them out, except they're rehashing the same old BS speculation that we have for the past couple days. But what was really stupid:

We've had leaks before and people just brushed it off."

Anybody who just brushes off this leak isn't actually following along with what we know about it. But what's really telling:

"Even if one character isn't in there, it's still considered fake."

Flawed logic, assumes the banner is the full list of characters. If they had said a characters in the banner that's not in the game (they only speculate that, with outdated speculation), I would tend to believe them more. Not saying it's real--I think it's probable. But this is the dumbest way to say that it's fake.

That's just out of context, he knows that there've been certain leaks that we might've brushed off, like the Sassy Geno leak or E3 leak, and is just surprised that this certain leak is getting traction is surprising. Though, that's with what Spawn said, Nate is a whole other case.
