Misread your post. There isn't, but do consider how this could possibly even work; some items can't really be implemented. Directly controlling your opponent and still battling seems impossible.

I'll say with yes. No ****ing way that a KHInsider Translator and Writer, alongside Persona Central guy doesn't have some source somehow. I mean, it's ****ing KHInsider, it's basically the Serebii's of KH in term of website size.
Personally, I want a mario party esq mode that ISN'T smash tour, but has little minigames you can do to get coins, which could be a way to buy trophies and stickers (if they bring back stickers, anyways)

IIRC there was a Pokémon/Item, at one point, that makes you "switch bodies" with an opponent. Closest thing I can think of right now. Can't remember which Pokémon did it though.

I've had an idea about that too. except instead of cards, it would be trophies that you can collect and battle like any other virtual card game.
Now that you mention it, you know who else was supposed to be in Sm4sh? Ice Climbers, but they were cut due to the 3DS’ limitations, due to them not working correctly in 8 player Smash in the 3DS version. I think Chorus Kids maybe might have been included in Sm4sh, but were probably cut after seeing how Ice Climbers wouldn’t work on the 3DS version. I’m just guessing, but could be wrong though.

Perhaps when the item is thrown, whatever it lands on sprouts a climbable growth sprout which can be used like a ladder?
There's also different "levels" of Growth, and sometimes it's used as a utility, similar to a ladder. So there'd be more than one way to implement it.
