If this is fake, I doubt the LinkedIn profile is, considering the workplace confirmed a man with that name worked for them. The guy's name would've been dragged through the mud for no reason.

I think it's kind of convenient it's the characters that are common guess AT THIS POINT in smash speculation

If it was some months ago the common guesses would be skull kid, bandana dee, and decidueye or something.

We should take into consideration just what the dev team did and did not have to make. They did reuse a TON of Smash For assets. There are almost no new stages, and three quarters of the roster has already been designed and animated previously. They had three years to create this game, and it sure seems like they put almost all their focus into characters and modes. Plus, they outsourced some things to Bamco and (evidently) the Frenchies.

This game makes perfect sense.

So this is kind of a strech: Dr Mario and Mr Game and watch move ever so slightly over the white brick with every character added (also the others but this is my point of reference) but in the Grinch it looks like they are still in the same spot as the Isabelle banner even tho 7 new characters seem to be added, granted it's hard to tell due to the poor quality but it kinda looks like it does.

It wasn't a reference to that.

It's a line Shulk says when targeting and engaging a high-level enemy in combat. I.E. Him targeting the Smash fighters.

I'm not going to touch rest of this with a ten-feet pole but Shadow was playable in Forces as the protagonist of his own mini story and Tails wasn't.

I love Tails but saying he's more relevant is factually incorrect.

True, but they could have picked any other quote relating to Shulk's status as a seer, which would make a million times more sense, but they ultimately went with the quote provided in the title. I've never played, but I doubt that it's a reference to Xenoblade alone.

It's both. That line has no real context in the trailer and may be a jab at the leak. In the movies section in the UK version of Smash 4, the trailer is renamed to "Now It's Shulk Time." Make of that what you will.

If the leak is real, then I am definitely hyped for Banjo kazooie! I am a huge fan of his games, originally played the game on an N64 emulator, but purchased it on XBLA. As for the others, I'm kinda meh on them. The cut characters, well it's possible that Sakurai and the dev team were gonna add Dixie, Ray, and Monster Hunter to the base roster, but did not have enough time to add them in, so hopefully they are DLC.

That being said, the text leak was posted early October, they could have leaked this, quit, then got a new job.
OR someone who is disgruntled took the persona of someone they knew had ties but didn't work for them anymore so (they thought) wouldn't be effected if they were caught.

The fact that they left the rocket cloud in the part of the picture where there are no character, is unprofessional and makes no sense.

They didn’t, the smoke trail isn’t in the blank banner template. You can see Luigi is below the diagonal cloud crack to the left and his smoke trail is right below the cloud crack to the right near the top in the circle:

There is no smoke trail beneath that top cloud crack in the empty template. And you can see the cloud crack that goes above Ken’s fist at the bottom right of that crack.

The diagonal cloud crack to left is where Luigi should go and the very top one on the right of it is above where the smoke trail should go.

But the other photos in the leak that don't show anything important are clear as crystal. It's just the ones that actually show the poster with the characters, the part of the leak that is the most difficult to make look convincing, that's blurry. Just like every other "leak" like this.

OK. The supposed leak was the Snapchat video. No one has seen this, as Snapchat videos delete themselves. What we have seen are screenshots of said video: https://imgur.com/a/2TY4Okf. The main image of concern is of course the banner. We have one image of the banner on something akin to a wrist strap. As this is a relatively small item and the screenshot shows the entire banner including the opposite side, it is essentially illegible (do note however that the opposite side isn't totally redundant as it contains another not-yet-seen instance of the empty Battlefield picture).

The other image of the banner we have appears to be stitched together from multiple different frames showing the fighters (see the stitching by Luigi/Bowser/Yoshi). To me it looks like the recorder panned across the banner in some capacity, leaving the leaker to join screenshots up. These particular screenshots are as "clear" as anything else in the leak; no, not clear as crystal - that's just another hyperbole on your part - but they are about as clear as the Grinch pictures, the empty Battlefield stage, the diagram thing, etc.

The image is honestly the least convincing thing. Everything besides the image is almost bulletproof.

This. People keep arguing stupid **** like "leak too blurry" or "I could do this" or "banjo is a photoshopped banjo" yet the ACTUAL proof is where and how the Leaker provided the information. The linkedin info has been there for years, he never mentioned where he worked, and that allowed people to find out where, which aligns with how he even provided a photo leak in the first place.

Yes, be skeptical, always be skeptical. But this one is a little safer than 99% of the others out there.

People still believing Vergeben who never once had any significant proof, was wrong on many other games and never had pictures or anything else that would go with his “leaked information” over this hugely AMBITIOUS ‘leak’ which has pictures, a confirmation of actual employment in a company that prints for Bandai Namco, which IS NOT EVEN ADVERTISED AS A LEAK.... I really don’t get it. I am still hugely skeptical, but I won’t deny, this is the stuff that’s actually convincingly close to being true and not easily debunked... It’s not AS obvious as the ERSB leak of Smash 4, but the timing is just about right, and Virgin Benny hasn’t said stuff in MONTHS. Am just not getting it...

Still, this guy's name is associated with a major company leak now.

That doesn't look good on a resume, or a background check for that matter.
