Fave Pokemon from each Gen and what they'd do as a Pokeball:

Gen 1: Magnemite - would cast Electric Terrain, doubling speed on the ground.
Gen 2: Heracross - flies across the screen like Super Sonic but slower, using Megahorn on whoever it hits.
Gen 3: Sableye - Mega-Evolves and uses Knock Off, damaging you and forcing you to lose your item if you have one
Gen 4: Tangrowth - uses Wring Out which deals more damage the closer to 0% you are.
Gen 5: Landorus - comes out Landorus-I, transforms into Lando-T, proceeds to wreck **** like only Lando can.
Gen 6: Hawlucha - uses Flying Press Snorlax-style but with a smaller hitbox, falling faster multiple times.
Gen 7: Palossand - uses Sand Tomb, burying and damaging opponents.

Gen 1: Alakazam - Unleashes a Psybeam that covers a lengthy horizontal range and deals massive damage if hit by it
Gen 2: Espeon - Uses Morning Sun to heal 50% of damage incurred on the person who summons it
Gen 3: Mawile - Mega Evolves and unleashes a massive Crunch, dealing heavy knockback
Gen 4: Roserade - Uses Poison Jab to deal continual damage if hit by it, much like being hit by a Lip's Stick
Gen 5: Krookodile - Uses Dig to go under the stage, and then quickly reappears under a random opponent, dealing heavy damage if hit
Gen 6: Espeon - Uses its Cute Charm to immobolize an enemy, causing them to be unable to attack for 5 - 10 seconds
Gen 7: Lurantis - Uses Petal Blizzard to unleash an AOE windstorm around itself, dealing continuous damage to those caught within it

( is my true favorite Gen 1 Pokémon, so I added in my second favorite one in his place, and Gardevoir is my favorite Gen 3, and as its role would likely remain unchanged, I added in my next favorite)

Well... yeah. The amiibo metagame right now is 12 guys alone in a Discord server... and eight of them hate the other four.

To everybody, what do you want to see in the gameplay? For me, it's good ol' Master Hand.

Fave Pokemon from each Gen and what they'd do as a Pokeball:

Gen 1: Sandslash
Effect: Digs into the ground, then later pops out from under a foe. Does this three times before digging a final time, disappearing.

Gen 2: Ampharos
Effect: The screen blackens, then Ampharos lights up a its tail, creating a small lit spot around itself. Walks around similar to Gardevoir.

Gen 3: Breloom
Effect: Spits out Spores around it. If an enemy is affected by the Spores, they go to sleep. Breloom then charges Dynamicpunch. If it connects, it does tremendous damage as well as knock back.

Gen 4: Porygon-Z
Effect: Casts Trick Room in a circle area. Enemies inside slow down drastically while the one who sent out Porygon-Z is much faster.

Gen 5: Serperior
Effect: Creates a Leaf Storm by slithering in a circle very quickly in place, sucking up enemies. Enemies in the storm are dealt continuous damage.

Gen 6: Goomy
Effect: Slithers around a stage, creating a sticky substance that traps enemies onto the ground, preventing jumps. If the enemy touches Goomey, they are affected by the sticky substance as well.

Gen 7: Minior
Effect: A Minior appears and then flies into the sky. Then, a bunch of Minor rain down from above, like Ness's PK Starstorm. They are without their shells, and as such, there are a bunch of different colored Minior

Bonus: Shadow Lugia
Effect: The same as Lugia, except its attack is darker and the air becomes more sinister, darkening in color.

Depends on the character. I wouldn't go the completionist route like I would for character DLC, but I'd totally buy a Great Lord Chrom outfit.

Let me clarify what I mean by that: amiibo vs. amiibo competition. There's a few amiibo tournaments on youtube out there already, but generally amiibo and human players don't mix.

I've already got my Ryu, Dedede, Mewtwo, Link, and Pit amiibos ready.
Already planning to get the Ridley amiibo on hour 1.

I have a Waluigi and Shovel Knight amiibo too, but uh... Well, I think we all know how that turned out.

I'll selectively buy the ones I care about most likely. Or if they come with a season pass, well, I'll probably be buying the season pass anyway since you know I'm going to get all the character DLC.

My pipedream skin is Clone Charizard, but I know they probably won't ever put that in since it's anime-only. Ash-Greninja at least got to appear in Sun/Moon before Smash.
