I can't remember every one I'm looking forward to off the top of my head, but I'll list the ones I'm most interested in as of right now:

2018:
Castlevania Requiem (Never played SotN or RoB, and I enjoyed SCIV)
Let's Go Eevee (Not as much as a core Pokémon title, but I'm still interested)
Persona 3 DMN and Persona 5 DSN (gotta get in my rhythm fix, though it'll probably be postponed as Ultimate releases that same week lol)

2019:
Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition (never played it when it first released, as I wanted to play the PS3 version)
Kingdom Hearts III
Fire Emblem Three Houses
Indivisible (backed this game a few years ago now, but I love Lab Zero's work; hoping it doesn't get delayed further unless deemed necessary)

Hopefully Metroid Prime 4 and Shin Megami Tensei V will release in 2019 as well, as those are two titles I really want to dive into.

K. Rool was genuinely the last white whale of longterm Smash speculation. Only Geno is remotely comparable.

"3 Days Remain" thing seems like a nice reference to Majora's Mask though.

Hm. Strange to say the least. Especially coming out of Nintendo of Canada. It could very well be a direct but is it really a bar? As in alcohol? I cant see why Nintendo of all companies would encourage customers to go there for a viewing party. Who knows though. I'm not Canadian.

I didn't see a surge of Lycanroc supporters anywhere. It's not like they died. If you don't believe verg than Lycanroc still has a good chance.
I mean, I still think it's Incineroar but that's beside the point.

What about Isaac?

I think it’s too early to say how Isaac will fare. There’s a very real possibility hype will die down if he doesn’t make it into this game and Golden Sun remains dormant. He’s a bit of a special case. His popularity, as it is now, doesn’t really compare to the peaks other characters reached, like Ridley, Sonic, Mega Man, and K. Rool.

Yeah, there's way more than just Geno. Ridley and K Rool have been requested since Melee, the same as Geno and Banjo. Isaac and Skull Kid have been requested since at least Brawl. Nobody will probably reach the heights of Ridley, but to say there are no more long requested characters is a stretch.

yea he'd be very retro. Last game from the series was the Sega AGES remake of the first game on ps2, however Space Harrier gets a ton of appearances in stuff like Yakuza so i feel he'd atleast be recognized by people who at least played a yakuza game. He was in a Japanese only mobile game recently along with other sega characters too

Not to mention that SH got the honor of appearing alongside other arcade games in a certain other game by the Yakuza devs.

Corrin's Dragon transformation is less plot relevant than Lily and that's actually pretty sad when you think about it. It gets dropped so fast you can't even process it and it begs the question why is it even there in the first place.

Well I sure as hell won't go to Montreal just for a Smash announcement, especially with the state of traffic over there.

That said, this does line up with the countdown towards an announcement that was claimed a few weeks ago (which had to readjust).

So far, I'd say Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is my favorite Switch game. I really hope Sakurai does the game justice for DLC, since Rex and Pyra would have to be rushed to make it to the base roster.

Even if it's true, I doubt it would be Smash-related for reasons already given above this post: "an announcement only for a specific province" and also what I'll type here.

I will say Nintendo has used mature stuff to help promote games before, though; i.e. Rareware's Conker, though that game itself is mature (and tbh I just got this off of Did You Know Gaming or something, I didn't confirm it myself, I thought they said Nintendo helped Rare).

Though I don't get why they would announce something where everyone would be drunk, much less a Smash announcement where people probably won't care, and a huge part of their audience being alienated.
