I still don't think we're getting an annoucement this week. It seems more and more likely that November is when we'll get a final annoucement.

I'm really not sure we should expect a Smash Direct announcment the same way we get the general direct announcments. I think it's more likely we will hear straight from Sakurai through the blog or something. I'm really hoping for an update tonight announcing a trailer for tomorrow, or maybe tomorrow night's update saying look forward to a trailer next week.

Mario is a hard fighter to have an echo, i get why Young Link, Toon Link, Pichu and Isabelle's not echo of there fighters which are Link, Pikachu and Villager cause of model proportions but Dr Mario, man aren't there proportions the same ?

Dr. Mario has different mobility and different normals.

It’s also so Doc can get Dr. Amigo as an echo.

The removal of deleted threads from notification lists really needs to be more thorough. I have three straight pages of nothing in my alerts, a fourth page of nothing further down, and several pages with substantially fewer than thirty alerts thanks to all the spam threads clogging it up. And just look at the number of alerts it's showing. Jeepers.

Mario is a hard fighter to have an echo, i get why Young Link, Toon Link, Pichu and Isabelle's not echo of there fighters which are Link, Pikachu and Villager cause of model proportions but Dr Mario, man aren't there proportions the same ?

Dr. Mario is more of a Semi-Echo for some reason, and has regular attacks and specials of his own.

I never did say he had a lot of his own original moves, though...

Just ignore them. (Also, don't click them. They seem to be malware)

The best way to combat this is to not post about it anymore.

But that won't happen due to all the people inadvertently posting about it by getting up on their soapbox to tell everyone to stop posting about it.

In the end, all this really means is that the pokemon character is going to be DLC or not in at all.

Oh my gosh Meltan is adorable! I really am starting to fall in love with it.

I wonder if we'll see that new form in Smash at some point (dlc obviously). Not necessarily as a character, but on a stage or as an item etc.

It's the outcome we don't want, but I guess we could use some realism (or pessimism, depending on who you are), to help even out our desperate optimism to keep things real and reasonable. To be honest, unless they decide to announce it later today or tomorrow, I'm extremely doubtful of us getting a direct this week.

I knew it. Sakurai’s next announcement will be World Peace! The reason it hasn’t been announced yet is it’s just not ready. Oh well, maybe it’ll be DLC.
