I already do. From my pre-E3 roster I only got one right (Isabelle). I thought Arcade Rabbit and Kamek would be in (also Rex, Spring Man, and Deciidueye but that was just the style back then)

Well Rex and Pyra and Spring Man are still possible for DLC.

It’s a little sad that Decidueye may not join along with them though.

To be fair I do think Spring Man w/ Ribbon Girl as an echo and Rex are definitely frontrunners for DLC and maybe a Gen 8 Pokemon as well.

My man, I have a question.
Is your favorite Diamond, Pearl and Platinum?
My second favorite is B2W2.

If I had to rank Pokémon games in terms of favorites:

• Platinum = B2W2 - Both are perfect Pokémon games in my eyes. Diamond and Pearl are obsolete as far as I'm concerned, so they won't even be on this list.
• HeartGold and SoulSilver - Almost perfect, but the leveling curve from mid to late game is atrocious, and difficult grinding methods don't help anything
• Black and White - Probably the best story in a Pokémon game, but it's held back by a lackluster selection of Pokémon (locking the player into the Unova Dex was a mistake) and a disappointing post-game
• Emerald - It improved upon Hoenn and made a lot of things better. It's especially good considering Hoenn is flawed (as much as "7.8/10 too much water is a joke, it's kinda true). Ruby and Sapphire are pretty much obsolete because of this game, so they won't be mentioned.
• Sun and Moon - It played around with the traditional Pokemon formula with trials instead of gyms and actually tried for a story. The difficulty wasn't too horrible either.
• FireRed and LeafGreen - Mostly nostalgia, but every now and again I'll revisit them for a quick play-through on emulator
• Red, Blue, and Green = Yellow - The OG Pokémon games. They're also stupid fun due to janky systems and glitches (Missingno, Crits based on speed, Psychic being OP as ****, etc.). Yellow is a marginal improvement, but Red and Blue have their perks over it so they're equal in my eyes.
• Crystal - It's Gold and Silver, but better.
• Gold and Silver - I'd say they're obsolete compared to Crystal, but these games are so impressive they warrant mention, especially considering how troublesome their development cycle was. They haven't aged very well, which is why they're so low.
• Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire - It improved upon the mistakes of X/Y (specifically the low difficulty) somewhat, but they're still pretty easy. Them being based on Ruby and Sapphire over Emerald was a mistake.
• X/Y - They're not too bad in hindsight, but are disappointing compared to the other main games. I guess introducing Mega Evolution is impressive, but that's the only good thing to come from Generation 6 in my eyes.
• Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon - I've explained why these games are horrible before, so I won't repeat anything you've already heard.

I'm counting LGPE as a spin-off, so it won't be ranked. If it were, it'd be above Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon because at least it's trying some things.

The actual best Pokémon game is Neo X and Neo Y, a brutally difficult hack of X and Y that makes the most of the Kalos region and is really fun. I did a nuzlocke run of it and it's one of the best Pokémon games I've ever played. It makes me think of how great X and Y could've been.

I mean, while I don't cringe, per se; I am already disappointed in myself that an obvious recolour fooled me into thinking it was Isaac.

If it was Incineroar and Lycanroc, I'd be satisfied.

But realistically, it'll probably never happen. Even with a franchise as popular as Pokemon, I doubt Sakurai would spring for two unique newcomers on the base roster if he knew it would already have 9 veterans. I'd love to be wrong, but I think we should be grateful if we even get one.
