Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

I may be late with this topic, but is Shiek considered a guy or girl in Smash? I mean we know she's a girl in Zelda, but the blog said she's a guy and the Twitter post said she's a girl so I'm guessing she's really a girl, right?

I'm gonna be bold and say that the thing that may or may not happen this month is not a Direct, but rather, is a standalone reveal, with a final Direct date confirmed right at the end. The date will be sometime around the first week of November, I'm thinking Tuesday or Wednesday.

Or I'm wrong and the final reveal happens tomorrow with Incineroar being a Wario Echo and Sans being the ultimate bad guy in SSE 2. Ken is announced as our first DLC, and has taken Geno's moveset and slot.

Both scenarios seem pretty likely, NGL. :4pacman:

I've been looking at all the Smash Wii U presentations after the game was released and around the time when they were probabky planning Smash Ultimate.

I did notice in the final presentation, the one with Cloud, that they took a little extra time to talk about and show off the Geno Mii costume. I forgot that they did that, and they didn't really focus all that much on other Mii costumes. Not the Ashley costume, not the Tails costume. Just the Geno one. It might be nothing, but that does seem like Sakurai is aware, or atleast thinks, that Geno is a bigger deal than all of those guys.

Could see them announcing on Sunday for Tuesday or Thursday, as those seem to be the days they always go for when it comes for Directs/announcements.

of course I hope they announce it sooner

But if we get a announcement it will just be something like Lucina and Robin got and not a direct

Oh and this dude may be on to something on why there’s 50+ unlockables


Basicly his theory is so new and old player will experiment with the newly unlocked characters so it can be easier to figure out your main.

Zeke's JP VA is also Seto Kaiba's, I can't consider it trash for that alone.

But also English Rex is a little painful.

I've said it before and i'll say it again. The fact that Xenoblade 2's character design is so unbelievably moe will never not be hilarious to me.

My joke post earlier aside...Maybe? I dunno, I am suddenly very conflicted about October being the time for the Direct. About a week ago Halloween seemed like the perfect time, but given Sakurai's latest comment from Famitsu, I'm kinda doubting it now. What I think is more likely to happen at this point is a standalone reveal taking place somewhere in between now and the next two weeks, with the very end of the reveal confirming the date of our final Direct for the first week of November, maybe somewhere around the 7th. I don't think they'll go later than that because of inevitable preloads risking the whole thing getting data mined to kingdom come, but honestly, it's hard to know if Nintendo cares about that. They've gone through the whole year now with all of their major titles getting data mined and even their DLC getting data mined, some with information that wasn't supposed to be known until WAY in the future (Kirby's entire roster of free character updates leaked this way).

I'm gonna place my expectations for a Direct this month on 50/50. IMO something IS gonna happen, as the exact same things that happened before the last two big things have happened again now. I'm just not sure what the scale is gonna be. The only thing I'm sure of is that nothing will probably happen this week. IMO, next week and the week after is the time to watch.
