I'd call it second party... Nintendo only owns 1/3 of it... It's so big that they have to share it with Game Freak (The Developers) and Creatures Inc. (They lent support). This is the reason why Pokemon isn't involved in a lot of Nintendo crossovers... It's kinda of a licensing hassle if you know what I mean...

Makes sense. Dang, I won't give up my dream of playing as Pikachu in Mario Kart, though!

So, something's been on my mind as of late. I've noticed some people have been saying that Smash is running out of solid first party content to choose from. Do any of you feel like this is true?

Actually, yes. I've felt for awhile that the vast majority of good/important Nintendo characters are already in Smash at this point. It's part of the reason my requests are pretty much all 3P characters.

I think we're past the point now where there are a lot of 3P characters that are actually more important to Nintendo's history than any of the actual Nintendo characters that aren't in the game. Like, Mega Man and Final Fantasy had more to do with Nintendo's success over the years than half the Nintendo characters in Smash.

I remember that for the longest time, the pokemon amiibos didn't give costumes in Mario Maker.
While they do now, TPC didn't even let Nintendo use sound effects or a death/win theme.

Things might change though, the current head of Nintendo is on the board of directors for TPC as well.

So I have a question, this week there was a blog entry for Lucario and it said this: "Lucario is the only fighter whose attack power increases as it takes damage".
Does that mean the Rage mechanic thing is gone? That would explain why they made an item that works like that.

I'd like to see series like Pokemon make more cameo appearances in other Nintendo games too besides Smash. Such as Animal Crossing and Wario Ware. But yeah, I don't think we see much of Kirby either in other Nintendo games do we?

1. Inkling’s up special damages at the beginning and end, but if you hit a roof, it won’t hurt at the end.
2. Pokemon Trainer can choose which Pokemon he starts out with before a battle.

I've been thinking this too. While it could be what Gwen said, it's a poor way to phrase it. Unfortunately I don't think we can rely on a sentence or two from a blog post to rule it out. Glad I wasn't the only one who thought that though.

We've already had confirmation that it's in.
It's been toned down now, a Nintendo representative said that it started at 90% this time.

Now that you mention it, we really don’t do we? If anything, we see Nintendo characters in Kirby games. We got a Samus and a Metroid in ine game, and if I’m not mistaken, you could use the rock ability to transform into a Mario statue.

You could always choose what Pokemon you started with. Now that you don't have to change it makes it even easier to main 1 (although switching on KO is still a pain...).

Apparently you can switch the Pokemon on the safe platform without losing it after being KO-ed

Speaking of Mario Kart, I wonder what new gimmick they're going to introduce. MK7 introduced gliding and underwater driving, MK8 introduced anti-gravity... What will MK9 introduce? 4th Dimensional driving?

I heard this was a thing but never saw footage of it so I'm not sure if it's true...that was back in June I'm sure there's more PT footage now so I'll look.

Ignoring Steve not getting announced for Ultimate MineCon was so bad.

Imagine like, nearly two hours of complete filler content about Minecraft YouTubers or two completely different game shows that really don't have much going on with them and then imagine that minced in is actually annoucements for the game that kind of disappointed anyway.

Honestly, the only Fire Emblem we're ever gonna get after Chrom I feel is gonna be Edelgard from the newest Fire Emblem. It's been a bit of a tradition to add in a character from the newest Fire Emblem games, so I expect her to be revealed as DLC after Ultimate comes out.

Looking at Smash U's roster, only characters to not be fromoted from a previous gameplay role are King K. Rool and the Belmonts.

Inklings were costumes, Ridley was a boss, Daisy was Peach's alt, Isabelle and Dark Samus were assists and Chrom was part of Robin's final Smash.

Not sure what that means but let's keep an eye on the characters who had roles previously...

Lucario's range and attack properties actually vary with percent. It's a few steps above rage.

I'm mostly certain the blog entry is referring to aura. If by "attack power" they mean damage, then it would have to be aura, as that increases damage and knockback, while rage only increases knockback. Otherwise, it would be ambiguous, but that doesn't seem right.

Also, while we’re in the topic of people nit liking new characters, am I the only one who never really gets mad when someone I didn’t want gets in? I’d just like to see who Sakurai chooses, and sense I don’t really have any characters I want, I’m just kinda here for the ride. Am I the only one?

It's simple. Isabelle while an incredibly popular character, appeals to a different audience and some Smash fans are petty if they don't get what they want even if every other character appeals to core fans

She was just a foregone conclusion with a drawn out trailer. Great character but nothing all that _exciting._

Same. Only character I didn't want in was Steve, but even him I'm ok with even if I don't really want him.

I'm fine/Indifferent with Isabelle getting in, she's super popular and all but gooood... Her ****ing trailer was the most boring **** ever. Like, It totally reflected Animal Crossing but, It dragged on, and on, and on once we knew she was in Smash and sadly it was self-contained as an Animal Crossing trailer.

Not sure, but if Sakurai comes out with a tweet before the direct mentioning how he enjoys seeing artworks, and calligraphy, as well as the importance of protecting the environment and keeping it clean, then I'm gonna be very happy XD.

I thought the fact that they made fortnite on PS4 finally have the ability to play crossplay with all other platforms was a miracle.

Maybe it was just that I got so excited I forgot my stratagies, but I constantly forget to use grabs to my advantage, and I kept making stupid mistakes, such as trying to recover without Nana, but if I air dodged then used my up special, I could have made it. What do you guys think?

Not every character but I need to work on my Ness and Olimar, I haven't played them in a while. Oh, and Ivysaur now, I guess.

MK9 will probably be on the next console now. MK8D has sold over 10 million units there's no need to split the player base and confuse parents with another game.
