I know it's not technically against the rules, but how about we start using spoiler tags for all leak discussion? We're going to be required to use them when a big bomb is dropped, so we may as well get in the habit now. It'll be less likely for someone to just post it without a spoiler tag if using tags becomes the normal thing around here.

If Normura gives him the okay and they know that, there's not really much they can do other than watch over Sakurai's work.

But would Sakurai really not include Mickey Mouse and all the gang? It'd feel wrong to not include them; they're such an integral part of the series, more so than the original designs and other stuff. And this is Disney of Japan we're talking about. If you thought Nintendo was protective of their IPs and such, DoJ would pretty much be the undefeatable boss.

He doesn't need them, sure, but what about representing the series in the form of trophies and other such means? Isn't the keychain on the Keyblade practically Mickey Mouse, IIRC?

Still, show of hands: who is shocked and wasn’t expecting him since Richter got revealed?

I think we just need to get some actual news now. There’s a lot about that picture that looks unprofessional, so if it is legit, I hope that’s seriously a pre-build. And I’m sure now every other person is gonna piggyback and leak an unrelated image to pretend that it’s also verifiable, or to discredit this one.

And I’m still waiting for news on modes other than the fighting. Even if some glory-hogging ******* leaks the roster, there’ll still be surprises in store for us.

And DLC will hopefully also be a thing. Are we allowed to start our DLC support campaigns yet?

If I wish I were good at a character, I learn to play them. People constantly use "that's not my playstyle" as an excuse, but it's completely possible to learn a new play style. In fact, being able to use several different play styles makes you more flexible and better all around, even if you're a solo main, so if you're competitive I definitely recommend playing characters outside of your comfort zone from time to time as they may help you learn new skills or understand different match ups better.

Now there are characters that I wish were better. Palutena is a character who I can play but don't think is very fun to play as because most of the time you only use like half her moves. I can use her, I just don't like to.

I'm sure the Keychain of Kingdom Key would be okay as it's a simple three circles that make an outline of Mickey's face. It's not Mickey or his likeness, it's more like a Hidden Mickey than anything else. That's the only thing he'd need to negotiate, and even then Sakurai could just have him use Oathkeeper and/or Oblivion, or even the Master Keeper.

I see this as a strong indication that it’s possible this picture was taken at least 4 months ago.

The final roster could’ve already been leaked, but hasn’t surfaced yet... this was very similar to what happened to Gematsu after all. The images were made a couple of months until someone ended up releasing them.

It’s kinda scary when you think about it since the final roster could pop out at any given moment. (And they might’ve fixed up some things about Ken.)

EDIT: Maybe if I got a notification then I would know that leaks can’t be discussed here... I think?

So with the "certain leak" being pretty much legit, makes me wonder if the person behind it will leak other, if not ALL other base game characters yet to be seen. Is it possible they only have a build with an incomplete roster, as if it were a part of keeping secrecy of the final roster or, as mentioned earlier, test certain things with specific characters?

About the four months thing RandomAce mentioned, it begs the question why they didn't release it four months ago? Slightly less hot water?

I honestly just play who I like without much care for being good. I'm trash at competitive games no matter the genre so I just have fun with buds. Hence why I made the terrible life choice of maining Pichu.

As much as I would love some of those other crazy cool designs, it'd feel weird for him to not have the OG keyblade. But even if Sakurai can negotiate like a madman, I'm pretty sure Disney over there would have the switchblade at his throat the moment they see those circles, being all like "Hey, Sakurai. Uh... What's that you got there on the keychain?" It really is a strange situation with him, really.

Kinda, but they're mostly pre-pubescent kids so they're still growing up. Most of the hate is because it's something ridiculously popular and kids really like it, so some toxic fans feel threatened by acknowledgement of something they don't like. You could also see it when Isabelle got revealed, with some people here saying they wanted to vomit. Also because it's owned by the same company who owns Banjo Kazooie who some people prefer for some reason

I'm not hugely into any of them but the really good players of these characters just seem to be on a whole other level and are so much fun to watch.

For a character I enjoy more but am also not good with, Ryu.

What gets me is that we see four characters taunting which, unless there's a debug option to make everyone stand next to each other and taunt or one person is frantically/awkwardly using four controllers at once, means that four people are currently playing the game and almost certainly have to be aware of the person taking the photo as it was probably the reason they all agreed to do their taunts together in the first place. That means we basically have an entire group of Nintendo employees conspiring to leak Ken, which is really something astounding.
