I've seen it. It was amazing for the time but I think this trumps it slightly. Video editing and an incredible fake CSP are impressive, but a 3D model getting how ~~~ would look in Smash Ultimate's artstyle down to the weird lighting with a completely new model (if its fake, photoshopped) ingame without looking out of place in the slightest trumps that a bit IMO, also the Rayman leak was hurt by Mewtwo's render not being that great even then.

It was definitely the most impressive Smash leak ever to me before this, at least.

We're on the last stretch. Around 80days for almost 10characters?

I think we've long since established that Sakurai is a goddamn mad man and he's already been going into maximum overdrive with this game:

-Up to 108 stages

-Close to 900 music pieces

-Everyone back including characters that had literally no reason to ever return aside from fan demand

-Sakurai finally caving on Ridley and K. Rool after 17 years

-Competitive modes that aren't garbage including by far the most intricate training mode the series has ever had

-Gameplay elements that combine things from Melee, Brawl, and Smash 4

-Sakurai saying "**** it" and adding Dark Samus, Chrom, and especially Daisy after panning their similarities to their counterparts in the past

-God knows how many individual, unique boss fights

-the ability to turn your Switch into a goddamn iPod

Oh yeah, it's pretty nuts, but Sakurai would have to stomp on the hype train brakes pretty hard for at least a portion of it to not be true.

Right now, I'm only expecting Incineroar and Ken on base roster. Any other characters, rumored or otherwise, are DLC at this point.

I think we might see Minecraft content in the base game, but Steve might be DLC, announced alongside the 2nd Square Enix character.

See, that’s the worst possible outcome that could happen, though. On TOP of Steve being in the game at all, he’s also ****ing paid DLC along with the SE rep.
If you thought the backlash against the Switch online service was bad, wait until Steve and Geno/Sora/DQ rep get announced as pre-order bonuses/day 1 DLC.

Also, sorry for being biased and euphoric about Hashimoto's tweet earlier at like 3AM for me. It's 99% Nothing...but the man Leaked Frozen World in KHIII forcing Nomura to confirm it in a follow-up interview, leaked FFVII on PS4 and opened his mouth too much about FFVII Remake, so who knows.
I'm just glad someone from Square is open to the support though.

I want the Farmer from Harvest Moon to be playable. He has plenty of farming tools for smashes and aerials, could plant different kinds of crop that have different effects, and could use farm animals or other sillyness for recovery.

This IS true, I suppose. Sakurai seems to be one of the few people at Nintendo who actually puts in mother ****ing WORK
Like people tell him to take breaks and stuff, but I think Sakurai actually likes working on Smash all the time if you ask me. He seems like a workaholic.

Knowing about them this early implies that Sakurai is pretty far in development with them, despite the fact that the game hasn't even released yet and the last few months are typically spent fixing and tweaking things.

It would imply that the game has to go gold at some point, and that DLC is confirmed to be coming so that we can still get content afterward.

It's not anti-consumer! That is with what I disagree.
I literally gave an example of anti-consumer policy, in loot boxes.
Adding DLC before a game officially launches is not anti consumer, and throwing around your names doesnt change that reality.

I want more content and I'm willing to pay for it because that is how the economy functions. It's not jaded, its pragmatic.
And I want a LOT more. We are getting more than most games offer in the base package.
I'm not going to whine and expect more for free.
