If you're leaking anything, people are already going to have less of a surprise; if people are complaining about spoilers, they shouldn't be on your page in the first place. They act all vague and such, and seem to try and win people over by accepting blame and such for what they get wrong (which is actually okay, it just seems weird; their "source" straight-up lied about the March direct's contents, assuming they actually have sources), and they have "Leak" in their name.

How would you guys feel about unlocking special skins for characters by completing challenges? For example, completing 15 minute smash with mario unlocks the builder costume or complete all game modes with K.Rool to unlock a Pirate K. Rool skin. If they put some really cool skins behind some longer achievements, I feel like it could add some longevity to the game.

Why would Bethesda use a New Vegas area as a stage, and not Fallout 3 or 4?

The thing is that there's no actual basis to assume the SE character is DLC.
It's a possibility, but there's nothing yet to back that claim.
All we know is that there's an SE character supposed to be on the roster. And especially the timeframe we're in and it was mentioned, it's most likely considered for base roster.

At the very least it would probably already be in planning stage at this point, so that they can get started on work as soon as the game launches. Now would be the time to start negotiating rights.

Alternatively it could be that they intended for the SE character to be in the base roster but since they didn't make the cut, they moved them to DLC instead of throwing away all their hard work.

See the problem with that argument is...

Wii games didn't have dlc support.

Delaying a game has more consequences than putting up one single character as dlc.

That's the thing that makes me so befuddled with the box theory on here.
Everywhere else, people touched on it but then moved on. A good majority of people I've seen think it's plausible but seriously doubt it.
Here, we still have people arguing over the damn thing and acting like it's proven fact.
If we're going to take it as fact, there's no honest reason to speculate here.
That's what it comes down to.

That's cherry picking and confirmation bias at that point.
If you try to force the idea the SE character is DLC just for the sake of a theory, especially without any evidence, your stance and prediction is already flawed and loses grounds for debate.
It's like when the box theory was first brought up, people wanted to disregard and say the SE character was fake due to it being vague, but not say the same about the Pokémon which was under the same circumstance.

Like everyone has said, there's no basis for the SE character to be DLC.
Also, LeakyPanda is as credible as Marcus Sellars or how loz is now.
There's no actual basis to go off their claims as they don't have credibility.

there's all sorts of legal stuff surrounding third parties so i don't think nintendo can just go "**** it, we'll finish it later" and turn a 3rd party character meant for the base roster into dlc. maybe with one of their own characters but definitely not a third party.

When it comes to Verg and the Box, there is nothing to imply ANYTHING about the Squre Enix character.

We don’t know if it truly exists, we don’t know if it’s on base roster, nor do we know if its DLC. To say otherwise is jumping to conclusions.

As i’ve said, considering Verg couldn’t instantly say the “box theory” wasn’t worth looking into, I think it’s fair to call the idea of the Square Enix character, if they exist, are base game, or DLC, into question.

Really though, i’m starting to hope Nintendo plans on revealing stuff again soon because this is already painful. Like, I have a feeling the box tells us more than we think. I don’t WANT that to be it, and I hope i’m wrong, but I just have this feeling based on the information.

If we get more characters, then that’s exciting. It will be a wonderful surprise. But I simply won’t be terribly surprised if it turns out Ken and Incineroar are it.
