Did they not do this with 4?! I really don't follow the hardcore scene so I never noticed.

Why is Nintendo so backwards in common practices? ARMS had specific patch notes so hopefully SSBU will too.

they did not, people have to have the frame and percent data pre and post patch to log the changes

In terms of tier? Ehh....that's a really tough one. Part of me wants to say Isabelle to be honest but the other part of me wants to say Ridley..
All of the newcomers seem to be really good if you ask me from videos of the demo + other videos posted by Nintendo (like the Snake vs. King K. Rool one) and the short 20 second videos they have on the website. So for those reasons I have a hard time calling it but I guess one of those?

Every time I play a fresh copy of Smash, I try to challenge myself and unlock every character in a single day, which I have successfully done twice for 3DS. Ultimate is going to be something.

Please for the love of god tell me I'm not the only one.

If you're disappointed then that's fine. I'm incredibly hype for this game and I have a few things i'm disappointed about (cries in Ashley and Waluigi).
But if you actually feel like this you should take a deep breath, have a drink of water, and maybe stay away from the boards for awhile, if that helps.
At the end of the day, even if box theory is true, this is still gonna be the best Smash game of all time. That should make all of us happy.

Gross. Has no appeal to me at all.
I'd love Toad. Easily my favorite character on this list, and I tend to pick him in Mario spin-offs.

crash bancicoot: yes, never played the games but seems fitting.
elma never cared for xenoblade so don't care for her
toad would be fun but mario has too many characters as is
pllusle/minun i would assume they would be a clone of pikachu? but still, no, not iconic enough for super smash brothers.

A twisted part of me kind of liked seeing the community band together to find changes, I even took part in it due to my desperation for MK buffs. Placebo made it all a huge mess though, so yes, please give patch notes.

Going to go with Dark Samus because, unless her attacks pack an even bigger punch, I can't see the upside to an even floatier Samus.

ARMS has. However I do believe they weren't as in depth as people wanted. Would need to double check that one.

That's why I assumed they did with Smash.

in the esam video about dark samus's dash attack sends you at an angle to combo into u air and it has an actual roll instead of the dumb slow morph ball thing regular samus does, so i think dark samus could be better than actual samus.

Thinking about it for a day, even if the box theory doesn't pan out the amount of characters we have is fine. The only exception is I think it's bizarre there hasn't been a new Zelda rep since Melee. But whatever. Ridley is in. K.Rool is in. Everyone since Melee is in. That's good enough for me.

I've already tried all of those things and I've calmed down but the stress of this has given me a headache that hasn't gone away
