Honestly? Same. I have a feeling Soren, Gardevoir and Gothitelle may be fake outs too, especially with regard to the datamine leak, cause remember, after the Royu datamine, Sakurai decided to name all future DLC slots after Mario.

I have a theory on the now likely fake Japan leak.

This Rumor maker somehow saw the protonmail rumor sometime way before the email was posted. Saw and guessed that this was the order of reveals and guessed(correctly) that Simon was going to be revealed in August. Then piggybacked it with a date of September 24th as the direct date because it'd be around TGS which Nintendo doesn't go, although Bamco does. So even if the date(which is pretty safe with TGS) and the characters are right, it's likely the 4 new stages(although there would at least be 2) and Mario Kart related stuff wouldn't happen.

The only other theory assuming the protonmail is real(hopefully for me), is that it's a just a big coincidence that both leaks had Heihachi & Lloyd next in line.

I hope the Protonmail leak is real too, because of Isabelle being the only thing I want in this game. And it actually looks pretty legit. Of course, I guess someone could've just typed up some message with a few characters on it using protonmail. I think protonmail is available to anyone to use, right?

I can definitely understand how you feel.
In the pre-Smash4 days I wanted : Dixie/K.Rool(the most), Villager/Tom Nook, Ghirahim, Toad, Micaiah (Fire Emblem), Travis Touchdown. Most characters I wanted were ignored, not even appeared as AT. Only got Villager, the exact first one.
It sucks.I don't care about Pac-man, Bayo, Ryu, Duck Hunt, hated Bowser Jr... it felt like one horrible roster to me.

In comparison, I liked Ridley inclusion. Inkling seems funny. Simon it's cool. And now K.Rool.
So maybe there will come a time where the ones you care finally happens.

I remember in the speculation that from the character I wanted in the game, I think I only got Megaman and Rosalina;... Well; at least DLC gave me my Melee Boys, Ryu and Cloud xD.

I'm really liking the Isaac/Felix rumor that's recently been floating around but, hoo boy, would that be some hardcore fan service, given that Golden Sun is basically dead. Two characters from a dead franchise is asking a lot, especially since the last game was 1. an enormous flop and 2. almost a decade ago. At least with Geno and Skull Kid the come from Nintendo's biggest franchises and their games have been rereleased numerous times since they originally came out.
