On the topic of bosses, I would really like to see Nightmare from Metroid:

He was my favorite boss in Fusion and one of the most memorable/difficult bosses I fought in any game, plus he appeared in Other M too so he has recurrence, and I really like his battle theme. Would certainly more than fill Ridley's void for a Metroid boss.

Speaking of filling Ridley's void, you could add Dyna Blade and pretty much replicate Brawl Ridley's boss battle, since for some dumb reason Ridley in Brawl was essentially a Dyna Blade clone doing Dyna Blade stuff instead of actual Ridley stuff (makes me wonder why they didn't just go with Dyna Blade and not needlessly use Ridley twice). However for a Kirby boss I would much prefer Kracko or Galacta Knight if the latter can't make it in as an Echo.

For Zelda I echo the earlier suggestion someone had of Bongo Bongo, but I would also really like Stallord, by far the funnest boss in Twilight Boss, who had a great battle theme too.

I'm really liking the Isaac/Felix rumor that's recently been floating around but, hoo boy, would that be some hardcore fan service, given that Golden Sun is basically dead. Two characters from a dead franchise is asking a lot, especially since the last game was 1. an enormous flop and 2. almost a decade ago. At least with Geno and Skull Kid the come from Nintendo's biggest franchises and their games have been rereleased numerous times since they originally came out. Isaac is plausible, Isaac AND Felix sounds too good to be true.

...isaac/felix makes a lot more sense than people are giving it credit for, lol, and this is coming from someone really trying not to get their hopes up and expecting Isaac and Geno to both not be in the game preemptively.

the third game definitely performed subpar, in comparison to the other two, but the third game also came out in a late cycle while the first two were GBA sellers and the Takahashi brothers were blatantly clear about an 8 game series. The game wasn't even received that badly, just a vocal minority. They've still been a highly active studio at Nintendo, and Golden Sun still (somehow) holds high regards in the east. They've also said several times that they'll make another Golden Sun 4 or Shining Force 4 if the demand is there - people just need to speak more actively similar to what Metroid fans did. Heck, I'm practically preparing to lead a crusade to let them know - There's absolutely demand for both of those games

Really, for new nintendo franchises, where do you go asides from Golden Sun? (Even w/ discarding they're the last Nintendo related company to get a character, last I've checked) Rhythm Heaven is a good contender I guess? S&P, an even more dead series? Advance Wars, a series where even the developers have admitted they don't know what to do with it? Custom Robo, which has the ARMs devs working on it? ARMs? Nintendogs/cats? Codename STEAM? The bottom of the barrel? Beyond arguably Rhythm Heaven (which really, only the DS one wasn't underperforming), it's the last "Nintendo All-Star" franchise left.

(also, Golden Sun 1 was re-released.)

contrary to all this positive feelings on Isaac, I still think the two biggest things standing against him (and they're pretty big) are that

1. the cutting room floor is really small, as far as we know; I know we just got 5 newcomers but let's not expect too much just yet in terms of non-echo fighters. Assuming just 2-4 unique newcomers, it's hard to call anyone a "shoo-in"
2. the number of stages; everyone's repeated it to death so I don't need to go over that.

But for #2, I think we may have a discussion...

If a stage isn't tied to a character, for some reason, it doesn't have an emblem, even if it had one previously.

Also, excluding Miiverse, I think every stage from its own series is back.

I refuse to believe Jungle Hijinxs can't work with stage morph but giant stages like Palutena's Temple and Great Cave Offensive can. I wanna see what happens when two character stand at the furthest possible distance from each other on Temple and then the stage transitions to like, Dreamland.

trust me I love Treasure, like, I absolutely love Treasure. I am one of the few people who will sit down and tell you how Radiant Silvergun is one of the best games ever made. This kills me inside to say but

i absolutely refuse to believe that Rainbow Road and Mute City (melee) can't work on stage morph or on the console. Given the redundant stuff they did return, I can't see why they wouldn't return that.

More specifically,

I honestly want to know why Orbital Gate Assualt is not in, there doesn’t seem to be a any reason for it not to, and I want to believe it can still come back, it’s one of the Smash 4 stages that I wanted them to bring back for Ultimate .

Hopefully they can show it off for the base, or at least early DLC.

Iunno, it's hard for me to say that's still as far as the ground/the MIA means as much when a continuation for Golden Sun looks much more in the books than Treasure doing... basically anything.

As a fan of both companies, Treasure's business decisions really hurt me. It really hurts me. At least they can keep re-releasing Ikaruga thanks to the help of other companies I guess?

K Rool's crazy run is my absolute favorite creative liberty Sakurai has taken with anyone. I wanted K Rool to get animal grunts like DK, but wasn't so sure about going farther. I'm glad they did now.

Many people forgot the Emily Rogers did say that KI will get another character my guess is Hades he's villains and Smash Ultimate is adding more villians at this time around. Hades will be amazing addition in the roster.

Sakurai wants Geno he was about to be in smash 4 but he got in as a mii costume really.

Many people thinks that Sakurai Mech could be hinting Elma dont think that could be the case Ray MK III is mech and the Mech looks allot like Ray MkIII. And Ray has not been shown as assist trophy.

Smash Ultimate was develop using gun engine when I look at Mach Rider pictures she use a gun that hinting could be hinting her as the new retro rep.

Rhythm Heaven character was planned to be a fighter but never became a reality after seeing K Rool trailer with Karate Joe easter egg I remember when I look back at the Greninja trailer there was a Pac Man Cloud and later on Pac Man became a fighter. I think Chorus Kids will be the newcomer not Karate Joe cause gematsu list Chorus Kids lots of people known and want Chorus Kids more than any other Rhythm Heaven.

Isaac is one the requested characters in Japan sense smash 4 and Sakurai tease Golden Sun reference with the Monster Hunter picture.

Heihachi was planned as DLC in Smash 4 but Sakurai couldn't get him to work Namco does deserved a second rep and he was tease in the August 8th direct not sure whats with that but maybe it was Tekken related not Smash IDK.

Skull kid is being tease signs are pointing like Yellow and Purple chairs and the couch match Skull Kid colors.

Suda51 says he really want to see Travis Touchdown before the Smash ultimate was a thing thats a little off to me did he secretly knows Smash Ultimate was in development IDK reading too much into it. And what helps Suda51 is friends with Sakurai and Travis Strikes Again is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. I wouldn't be surprise if Travis in smash before the release.

Echo Fighters

Ninten should be in smash its mind blowing he's not in smash I want to complete the Mother cast trilogy and there's so much Mother love in Smash Ultimate than the previous Smash games.

Even know I dont like the idea of Dixie being Echo of Diddy but I will sacrifice her to be in the dk roster and she didn't appear in the K Rool trailer kinda scares me a little bit but I think she will br announce in the next Smash Direct not sure why but have a feeling.

We didn't see Shadow as a assist trophy in smash ultimate at E3 and latest smash direct. Knuckles is the new Sonic assist trophy.

Isabelle was replace with Kapp N and Cheif Kawasaki and Vergeben claims Isabelle in Smash Ultimate.

Ken works as Ryu Echo why in the early games of Street Fighter Ken was a Ryu clone and Ken has became his own character in future games.

Felix will be a Isaac Echo sorry dont know Golden Sun just a idea.
