i'm almost starting to bank on them doing this on purpose. Like, I keep thinking about it and this is how it's gone:

-they announce this game, and go high and dry leaving us with literally no info on a drought for 3 months. everyone knew we had to wait until E3 but didn't know the wait was going to be this bad
-they blow most of their load in one go
-they then grace us with reposts for one and a half months

Really, if this keeps going, it's not hard to see a huge info dump come sometime from early September to early November. It's also suspect that they still won't just make a place on the blog for items or stages already (that last one is annoying me)

I don't think in official marketing they've ever shown us the full roster, but this game is also very different. Every Smash game before it kinda left us hanging with Veterans (I guess except Melee but they didn't even show Jigglypuff/Luigi in the initial hype) but here they just went "LOL HERE'S ALL OF THEM"

Honestly, all I hope is that they start showing new content (whether it's the blog or in some direct) before either Nintendo or a leak blows their load. It doesn't even have to be a character. Hell, it doesn't even have to be an echo. Just give us something to discuss that isn't just us saying every Tuesday "Yay, we got a banger song."

i was around for the dojo with Brawl and good lord, those were some times. there were literal wars when smashville was revealed over whether nook could be in the background and playable at the same time. Nintendo's official forums were quite a ride.

Just at least something to discuss would be nice - I'm not even asking for much. Like, a new piece of content that isn't a new piece of music every week? Maybe? Maybe every other week? I can compromise here.

I’m thinking they’ll just keep on repeating info from the E3 build until they’re ready to show a newer build and then update info from that.

Anyway, I think we’re bound to get a Direct in August or early September the latest. Nintendo has said they still have titles to reveal this year and more to say about Nintendo Online, which releases in less than a few months time.

Diddy no longer has his tail attacks in his jab combo.

Some fighters have more than one finishing hit option for their neutral attack. In the case of Diddy Kong, you can choose between the kick or the tail infinite.

This dilemma also applies to characters like Rosalina, Little Mac, Pit, Robin, Captain Falcon, Dark Pit, and Corrin.

F-Zero GX team still exist within sega which is the Yakuza Team so its possible if nintendo makes an agreement of some sort we could get a new F-Zero

Would be nice to have them use that as a bargaining chip to include the Dragon of Dojima in Smash.

Bored again, so I did a little interesting. You know the numbering system of Ultimate? How it orders by initial reveal? Well I decided to do a similar numbering system for EACH of the Smash games ordered by when the characters were officially revealed for THAT game. So in Smash 4, Villager would be 01 and Mario would be 02. I decided to ignore the Echo designation. Bolded are newcomers

People seem to be banking on an EVO reveal. Nintendo is makig it a point that they're attending this time around but it would be the first time they showed something at the actual event if winds up being true. The deleted Reddit post about Spring Man does catch my attention because Nintendo's Ninjas™ will go out of their way to squash leaks that are true as opposed to all the ones we've seen so far which have sat on their various sites like trashcans on a curb. Could just be the poster trying to make it look legit but, out of all the "leaks" so far, kind of surprised this is the first one where someone bothered to go this extra step if it winds up being fake.

Nope, The Trainer, as well as Ice Climbers, were shown before Snake. The only returning characters after Snake's reveal were Pichu, Young Link and Wolf.

I'm honestly unsure if putting Pokemon Trainer after would have had a bigger impact. Honestly Pichu and Young Link we're good there because it would've not made sense before, and even after it was still like HOLY **** THEY MEAN EVERYONE! Pokemon Trainer early on the other hand was a crazy surprise that didn't quite spoil the everyone's here reveal...yeah I think about the presentation of that trailer a little too much lol.

I'm not going to read too much into it because, like you said, it could easily be the poster trying to make it seem more legit.

Isn't Sawano a high profile composer in general though?

He is an extremely high profile composer, but Xenoblade X is the latest (and one of the only 2) games of which he composed the soundtrack. And Sakurai tends to call the composers of the original games for Smash Music.

And a single day record session would be enough for 4/6 songs, which wouldn't be enough for a full soundtrack...unless those are songs he personally remixed for Smash, for example.

The song (singing) is completely original. The part where you hear the singing is a song to the tune of Fire Field (SNES version)'s music. The song is original to Smash Bros. as far as I know. I have extensively played F-Zero GX, and the lyrics do not remind me of anything I have heard from that game. The background music where the guy is singing is definitely Fire Field from F-Zero on the SNES.

Edit: It is Fire Field. I get Fire Field and Red Canyon mixed up sometimes (originally posted Red Canyon).

I don't remember it being THAT bad....tbh I thought the fight against Ultra Necrozma was one of the best battles the series has had in a long *** time.

I also put Gen 7, 5, and 4 on a pedestal so my opinion is usually the unpopular one....

Gen 7 had its flaws but they were trying to do something different with the series and I respect that. I still want muh gyms back, though.

Oh yeah Ultra Necrozma was great. Thing is i was using a team of Lv. 100 Pokemon so it wasn't too hard for me though xD

Yeah, it is Fire Field from F-Zero (SNES). I think that this remix may just have songs from the OG F-Zero, because the intro to this song is actually Death Wind from the Original F-Zero.


So sadly, we're going to get a Port Town (SNES) remix... but in a melody which is something that I always feel like I get cheated by. I never really liked the ideal of songs being put into melodies, since mostly we would have some baller remixes if they were just fully rendered in the same style.

All I can understand besides "F-ZERO" is the first part during Fire Field: "Let's ride all on the dangerous track". If anyone's raced in Fire Field, you know that is a true statement.
