Ummmm no it wasn't my idea lol. Please go back and read it again before you make a statement like that.
Tamoo made the suggestion after he took 3 stock off of me and he now thinks he can beat me if he only had two people on his team lol. Nice attempt Bullet Bill, I am giving you 10 of the effort points which I display below my sig.

loool How am I ****ting myself. I simply stated my reasons for it which were:
- They always have advantages so I want one for once
- I want them to have the same amount of money on the line so they play under the same circumstance that I do

And they declined it cos they wouldn't play good under the circumstances and didn't want to take that chance so they are declining it lol.
We all know Ben that you wanna stick up for them though you're input doesn't really affect the situation lol.
Isit hard for you to understand for me to want them to play under the same circumstances as you?
Or should it be that I lose more money then them and they lose less money?

the fact is mr Pro that you're playing them as a team and as such you must stop whining like this-- and play them both as you're sooo insistant that you're too good (lol) to play them individually.

The reason i declined was that I felt it was unfair on Dave, who I haven't even consulted yet, and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be too happy putting up £5 on a mm.
Which is why im challenging u one on one. I dont expect to win ofc, im not that stupid. Im just gonna practice ****loads over in japan to give myself as much of a chance as i can.
Lets make it £1 tho, im not ****ting money lol, whats up with the high stakes all of a sudden??

loool Well why didn't you raise the money to £20 since you were inevitably gonna win and you can do £20 each if you want since you were gonna win.
I thought you were gonna win so what's unfair about me changing the amount you put in, I could put in £20 and you could put in in £2000 and you would have won since it was inevitable so how isit unfair the amount you put in when you are guaranteed to win.....isn't that a factor that becomes irrelevant?:confused::confused::confused:

lool You seem afriad of the high stake MM's lol. They are high because when you make statements you seem pretty confident in them so I want to see if you can put your money where your mouth is but you fail in that department.

aaron they're meant to have an advantage, it's 2v1
lol They have advantages in the amount of players they have and they get to counterpick.
Doesn't mean everything like the money has to work in their favour.

well, as i iterated earlier, I havent even told Dave, so agreeing to high stakes mm involving him would be slightly ********ish of me, and i wont see him until i get to japan 2morrow.

Anyway, Im off now, good luck to all u londoners going to SHS1, wish i couldve gone with you guys but oh well, I get to play ppl like Tani instead now :)

how is it in their favour? they have to share it if they win. Sure they only have to risk half as much money as you, but if they win they each only win half as much as you would.

lol Dunno why you didn't accept it.
Why do you have to confirm it with him when you know you are going to win.

But I am not going to win so why can't they up the money how much they want.
It doesn't make sense:confused:
Do you agree that people play different depending on the circumstance which they are in?
If we do the old system I lose £5 and they lose 2.50 each.
If we do the new one we all lose £5 and I gain £10 and they gain £2.50 lol....but whats the point of showing the statistics when he has guaranteed his victory.
They are two people, I am one person. They deserve to lose more if they lose just for losing against one person lol.

If they're gonna win why does it matter how much they put down lol. it'd be fine if they asked for a 2v1 mm with 2:1 odds but they didnt lol

For the experience so I can improve my gameplay lol:bee:

Cos I want them to play under the same circumstances that I am so they put out the same effort level which I do. They are gonna win anyway but if the put down £5 (which wouldn't matter cos they are going to win) then they will feel the same pressure I do to win:).

If you want to play with 2:1 odds just ask them but don't make it sound like it makes it fairer because statistically it doesn't.

It does make it fairer for me lol.
They already have practically EVERYTHING in their advantage before.
By you saying it doesn't make it fairer is making it sound like I had all the advantages before and the statement I made makes the MM more on my side then it already did when it isn't like that.

they have the advantage of 2v1, but they only have the advantage of money if they lose lol.

It does make it more equal lol.
Not only that it make them play under the circumstances as me.
Do you not agree that the circumstances played under affects peoples gameplay?
I know you mean it makes it equal because they got the player advantage, i'm talking about just money alone though lol. just focusing on money your idea is 2:1 odds so its not really equal its just that it gives you something to look forward to.

I think it can affect gameplay but it depends on how you think, how you fall to pressure etc

It's between just Tamoo & Clockmire.

Of course the money is not completely in their advantage, but the point of it is to make up for the advantages which they have in gameplay and plus so they play under the same circumstances I do.

It means they can fall under pressure more easily and they will become more competitive.
I see you are starting to see the light of me making my statement and why I would make it lol.

hm, im not sure where I'll be collecting entry fees yet but yes. the £15 assures you 3 days of smash and entering as many tournaments as you want, playing other games and enjoying the event in general.

Im not sure if all of london are aware of this but there is a large uk melee tournament happening week this saturday in bolton. Charles and alot otheres are going up there by coach. The trip doesnt cost much and there is free housing and pickups fri and sat night. If your wanting to prove yourself at melee, learn more, just play a lot, freeplay in brawl or simply socialise with the larger than london community this is a must.

I got this advert to wet your whistle;

WHY COME TO SHS1?

Ive compiled a list of the top ten reasons as to why you should make this the only summer event in your diaries;

1. FREE HOUSING FOR TWO NIGHTS

2. FREE VENUE

3. THE ONLY NATIONAL MELEE TOURNAMENT OF THE SUMMER

4. BBQ!!! £1 FOR ALL THE FOOD YOU CAN EAT

5. POTENTIALLY SWISS TOURNAMENT RULES. NO MORE POOLS. MORE TOURNAMENT GAMES AND MORE ACCURATE PLACINGS. THINK PREMIER LEAGUE OF UK MELEE.

6. VETERANS OF UK SMASH VS THE UK ALLSTARS. WHO WILL WIN THIS EPIC MATCH?!

7. POP UP PIRATES, SCRAMBLE, BUCKAROO, DOH NUTS AND OTHER AMAZING RETRO GAMES TO BE HAD!! (go well with drinking if your into that!)

8. LIBERAL HOUSE RULES. ENJOY YOURSELF AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE. THIS AIN'T A STUFFY CHURCH HALL OR COMMUNITY CENTRE!!!!!!!!

9. STARE IN DISBELIEF AS YOU ARE ENTERTAINED ON SATURDAY NIGHT WITH JOE, WILL AND MYSELF (MAYBE OTHERS) ON KARAOKE!!!

10. AND THE BEST FOR LAST. THE RETURN OF A UK MELEE LEGEND! START PLCING YOUR BETS (THIS WILL BLOW YOU AWAY)

If you are in it for the melee or simply to have a good time this tournament promises both in bucket loads!

:chuckle:

yooo people,
if anyone interested in attending a little 32 man tournament my clan is holding, atm we have 19 people, so we are looking for players who were around the same level or a little bit higher to make it pretty competitive.....
This is Melee + Brawl + Melee/Brawl Doubles btw, £1 pot for each event, small money put gives it a lil bit of an edge to the competitiveness.
Can some of the older named players like prof and that maybe get in touch with some of the other players off swf like DH??? see if they would be interested :)
its on the 18th july sooo let me know through pm if you are interested.
can also be found here: http://allisbrawl.com/edittournament.aspx?id=4968&t=0

PM if interested :)
