Another metaphor/figure of speech for the purpose of conveying a message. This time, I think he's telling us that the hint has "stages", and solving the first step does not immediately present the answer. So random guessing "oh it sounds like it's talking about Olimar" isn't the right way to approach it.

1) You included a double negative. It cancels itself out.

2) Why do we continue to make new technology when we know the Large Hadron Collider will destroy the world? Same reason as why we try solving riddles: because we can.

Not sure what the other lyrics are from, but I think this is pretty obvious. I mean the last one was about DK, and we had the DK rap from melee, so I think the hints are going to start going in this direction rather than the weird ****ing deciphering you guys are doing.

What I think we should do right now Gazelle, is look through the posts previous to OS's "someone found the first step post" and find one that seems reasonable, and using their first step look at the poem and see if it works. Then we'll post what we looked at and whether we should look into it further.

Think about it: the hint is absolutely random, the hints the SBR's give are completely random because they often collide and do not make any sense whatsoever, and Overswarm's 'picture' really did it... When you use the Safari browser, a picture that doesn't show up is a QUESTION MARK.

Riddles use literal interpretations of figurative speech, words with identical pronunciations but different spellings and words with multiple definitions, often an unusual one involved. This is in addition to the subject matter not being of the typical medium of answers suggested at, and in many cases riddles are complex problems of logic.

Anyone got anything from that? Different spellings, multiple definitions? That was posted once not too long before OS said someone had the right idea, it's kinda similar to a word search idea but not really...

...and I have no idea where to go with it, but that's always been the case...

Hmm, so try to get a spelling out of it. Maybe each line is to give us a letter or something? Hangman, wordsearch... similar enough, perhaps... but that sounds like microscope route to me again. Eh...
