Hey, quick question from a relative beginner. I'm always seeing people fair when coming up from a ledge, like instantly. How do you do it that quickly?

you drop down from the ledge, jump, then fair....

Practice. Drop off the edge (down or away), double jump, then Fair. It's very beneficial to learn how to do ledgehop Fair with different timings so you don't get predictable with it, because it's not a bad way of getting up at all, but it's still very punishable if you're predicted.

Can you do it without dropping from the ledge first though? Or is that not possible?

Which of these places are the worst places to play vs Fox (in order)? Green Greens, Mute City, Pokefloats, and Corneria. I think it's from worst to best(best still being bad): Pokefloats, Green Greens, Corneria, Mute City.

Also, is Jungle Japes good vs Fox? I like it vs Falco, but haven't tried it vs Fox. I haven't really decided a good counterpick for vs Fox if they ban Battlefield (FoD still doesn't work for me but I choose it anyways because it's neutral, maybe slight slight advantage for Sheik, plus most Foxes hate it there... unless you're Cactuar's Fox).

Spawn - I think Poke floats and Corneria are the two worst stages to fight fox on. Its basically a battle to catch fox and hit him. Which is extremely difficult if there is a giant wall(Fin) or walls(Pocket Monsters) that block you from fox I mean it was hard without those lol.

Green greens is pretty bad too but there is the apple = bomb factor which could help I guess.

Mute City is a toss up imo. Both Sheik and fox players like to take the edge when recovering and without it makes it much more difficult to recover. So if you can throw fox off the stage its your advantage otherwise you're pretty screwed.

Why are you rating the worst stages to play fox on again? LOL

I have this thing where I don't believe in Jungle Japes and I have no idea why people continually tell me why they think its a good sheik stage. Personally I think fox/falco do very good there so I wouldn't take spacies there.

I'm asking because I have a tournament to go to and all 4 of those are legal. I don't know which one to ban lol. I was thinking Floats/Corneria. I'll probably just go Fox/Falco if they take me there.

Also, what about counterpicks in general vs Fox if they ban BF?

Neutrals and counterpick stages please. I really don't know anything about counterpick stages at all that are good vs Fox lol. I know Mute City is good vs Falco. :D

well imo a lot of fox players dont even like PF so you should rather go with coneria

but imo in a bo3 its nearly always better to ban a neutral stage, against fox it would be either FD or YS

Many players choose not to CP with CP stages because most players don't play on them and have very little experience on those stages anyway.

For Fox though I agree with Luma, MOST fox players seem to choose Corneria if they choose a CP stage at all.

As for neutrals, personally against Fox I usually ban Stadium, but I think fox has the advantage no matter where you go in terms of neutrals just ban a place you don't like.

Tbh against high level foxes I go to fox.

My sheik vs fox game isn't good enough yet I guess.

I only go sheik on like brinstar lawl.

double edit. i cant cg at zero for crap but is it really necessary it seems like if you just rack damage with say d-throw f-tilt or something another grab just lines up at a much more comfortable percent.

As long as you don't try and boostgrab/jc grab it shouldn't be too difficult. In other words, just run to grab. >_>

I used to get it 80% of the time(with di'ing away and the 80% is for like 0-10 damage) pre-Brawl. I'm going to learn it again so noone will ever wanna Sheik ditto me again.
