That would also be the best thing ever, though I could see legit SSB fans and SF fans pissed off that Dan got in. I would take it in stride, since I didn't bet any chips on more SF characters.

Also, speaking of music, I'm actually quite offended that Wario's music from Wario World or the Wario Land series doesn't get that much representation, despite being just awesome listenings! I know that it's possibly because the Wario Land series is the second banana series to WarioWare (or Made in Wario), but still, there could be something awesome about pounding some poor schmuck's face in to the beat of Greenhorn Forest or something.

James was visiting that company in Japan (We know the one) to be one of the first to see the Shantae reveal trailer AND THAT'S WHY HE WAS IN JAPAN.

This theory came from me so it must be true! My dad works at Nintendo...maybe, I don't know my dad... BUT MY SOURCES SAY THIS AND THEY'RE VALID THEY COULD GET FIRED FOR THIS.

Still part of me can't help but believe this crackpot theory just a little bit 'cause it's fun and if Shantae is revealed I can be like "I KNEW IT! I AM TRULY THE WOKEST!"

Look at it this way, if she's not in, we at least all had a lot of fun being Shantae fans together and got to speculate and enjoy ourselves for a really long time, even if she's an Assist I'll still love Ultimate and I'll always have fond memories putting on tinfoil hats with all of you!

Definitely. Once the game is out we'll enjoy Ultimate forever, but we can only savor the insanity of Smash speculation once per game. I'm gonna enjoy this all the way to December, even if any/all of my faves get deconfirmed (and I got my man Chrom in already, so with one solid speculation win under my belt I'll feel good no matter what happens).

You know what would be a pretty funny thing? If Akuma came in instead of Ken, and he was actually a "unique" character (basically a semi-clone of Ryu, but more Glass Cannon esque with some speed on him). Then it would all but blow most of the Ken leakers out of the water. Akuma is sort of an antagonist in the Street Fighter series, fourth only to Chun Li, M. Bison, and Ryu in terms of popularity and debatably second only to M. Bison as an antagonistic force.
Of course, like I said again, Ken's basically a lock, but goddamn it if Akuma made it in, it would make my day in dividends.

Ken shouldn't be in. Even as an Echo. IMO, it's a disservice to Modern Ken.

I wholeheartedly agree with you bro. K. Rool and Ridley were my 2 most wanted characters I've waited 17 years for and I finally got them both in this game. So right now, I'm just enjoying the speculation season and supporting other peoples favorites until the game releases.

There are only two characters I'm hoping for to make this truly Ultimate, and one is Shantae, the other one is looking a little more likely for DLC (Sora. It could happen!!). Even without her tho, it'll still be amazing. Beyond amazing. Almost really ultimate!
