I had to fight M2K once, it wasn't that bad. Invariably so, I got my ass handed to me. I'd totally play a 99 stock match with him. I get some weird sense of enjoyment from playing the Luigi v MK match-up.

i have yet to play him so i cant sayit's boring to play him though wish i could've gone to apex to get to meet people. That and make more people hate playing against sonic :3

I played M2K twice in bracket. First time I could only take a stock off of him each match but this was also like my second tournament ever so that just happened to be my luck, but the second time I got to play him I, well, I already told that story

I ultimately still lost but just with way more style.

I knew a few days ago that Manny beat MVD before apex, so him doing well is not as surprising to me as it is to others

D3 and Snake are both hard MUs for Sonic, so Manny is definitely pretty good...

no, dehf started in losers bracket and manny had a bye. all the players who got 2nd seed in their pool started in losers bracket. dehf lost to orion in pools. manny got 1st in his pool and had a bye in the bracket

manny went 0-2 in bracket unfortunately, same as meek

Sucks that they both went 0-2 in bracket, but they essentially did as good as any Sonic has done at an Apex. That much is enough to be proud of.

How do you guys feel about the new Smash 4 edge changes announced today?

Pretty good. I like the idea, but I wanna see more of it before I say anything.

i don't think this affect sonic too much seeing as when we grab a ledge for edgehogs there usually done under strict circumstances or to gurantee they can't make it back. But this new mechanic imo only really makes edgehogging tethers a lot harder as i think they will still be able to latch onto the ledge even if you are on it and boot you off. would've been better if he had done a multiple pic of the day with this one.

Yeah, I think that's where I'm at. Like, I find it interesting that after all this time, Sakurai is actually trying to address the ledge camping problem. I could also see it making things really stupid, which is why I just really need some kind of video demonstration.

Yeah I wanna see how the ledge hogging actual works in a video rather than a picture so I'm kind of indifferent about it as of now. I like that they're changing mechanics tho could be interesting

the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that we know so little about what changes if any they are making to sonic. I mean sure we got a 40 second trailer with him but everything they showed was either something that could already be done and confirmed to still be there or not enough to the point where it looks improved. Where as all these others characters have had atleast one pic of the day with some type of explanation of one of their moves.(in most cases being a buff) I have over the o@course of observing sonic's pics and the trailer seen that sonic's announcement was probably premature moreso than others characters given the fact that he lacks nearly any sort of facial expressions in a lot of places he should've had in brawl, and given the level of detail and facial emotion that he's putting into the game this time im surprised we haven't seen a pic of sonic at all over the past few months, atleast one focusing on him. I'm hoping that the sonic we saw in the trailer isn't the final smash 4 sonic, not because i don't like sonic the way he but rather because of all these buffs other characters are getting specifically marth and lucario which were MUs sonic struggled in brawl witg it makes me feel like he might be worse than he was in brawl. But i'm still holding out some hope that we will get some sort of sonic post eventually that tells of some kind of change to him.

im glad it's only an alternate take on the series but still, they should've toned down the sports tape made him shorter and not made knuckles look like he got stretched out in one of those torture machines waluigi was in in mario power tennis, then i'd feel a tad better but interesting.

It's interesting. Gonna see what happens with this game. It's a side universe, will not be a permanent change, and is NOT being handled by Sonic Team.

This is gonna be good one way or another.

i was thoroughly displeased by the new design. Gameplay wise i'm bothered by the co-op. Sonic is gotta go fast... yet he runs with everyone matching him. Bothers me immensely...

I just feel the need to change their designs to "appeal to a western audience" was a stupid excuse. I also dont like how the designers said they couldnt help addimg things from uncharted, jak and daxter is show of poor creativity. Sonics design isnt the problem with why its not selling well, its the marketing in general and the gameplay to an extent. Im just glad this is a sub series and not a full reboot because if it was id feel really confused. Though atleast not we can have an alt costume for sonic in smash 4
